I remember back when we only got upt 4 times a year.....If i was running low on UPT i would put in an hour of vacation on my days working just incase i was late lol....They would refund the vacation as long as I clocked in on time this was back in 2021
Been with Amazon 1 yrs & a couple months. I been around 80 UPT hrs for a couple months. I seen good workers get fired because of it & I just wish I could give some of mines to help some AAs out

My home boy had 42 minute's of upt left and on his way to work he started having car trouble. His car stopped. He missed the shift went negative and got fired

@jonny_laguna yea but if he had 42 mins left how many times has it happened. 10 hrs is a lot of time to start off with. If you run through 10 hrs not to mention gaining like 40 mins a shift and about 30 mins of pto. Thats just a lack of accountability tbh

SMH believe it or not this isn't a rare thing that happens, crazy how many times this happens with people get that low with upt. Sad to hear.
Could of went to the hospital and put the doctors note in instead of getting fired it would of cleared them
I say at one to three hrs UPT. Been there two years haven't had any problems.
i've seen multiple people escorted off the property because of UPT.

Imma keep it 💯 my car went down & my UPT was under 10 hrs shit got kinda crazy bruh. I was spending that 💰 on Ubers & everything but I made it. Cars back on the road & my hours are back over 10 Hallelujah

Alot of people are terrible at managing there time. PTO is to be late, UPT is for emergency situations, and vacation is for planned absences.
But what alot of people don't know about is personal LOA which you can use to take time off which is unpaid, use that instead of your time for vacations etc. Anything medical always get a doctors note to excuse your time.
That's a fact... and Idk to me its just the craziest reason to get fired because its so controllable.

I became an UPT ninja. Went from 40 something hours of UPT start of peak and ended with only 6hrs left UPT lol
6 hours!? I Could definitely see how that happens during peak lol but that's definitely enough to get you through just be careful until that PTO drops 🙏

SMH sad how the do that for some but will cut others quick.
Sadly I became a UPT ninja and first time becoming negative when I show up for work in a Uber and the Uber didn't clear the speed bump in the parking lot. Yup I got out and immediately trip and went flying into street busting both knees and rushed to ER. My UPT is restore and I return back to work Thursday 12/28.

It would be cool if you got some type of reward, like 10 hours of PTO or something, for hitting 80 hours of UPT. I remember hitting 80 hours one time and all they gave me was a pin to put on my vest. I bet they'd have less issues with people using up their UPT if that were the case. Then again, that may be the system working as it should, keeping turnover at the desired levels.
I agree I think it helps keep the turnover as well.

I couldn’t sleep the other day so ended up staying up like 28 hours and leaving halfway through my shift leaving me with 9hrs 47mins of upt and the manager gave me a generic ahh low upt warning today lmao

3:49 my danger zone was ANYTHING less than 2 Days. .. when i worked 4x 10s, better have 20 hours in the chamber... then i went to 5x 8s and STILL kept 20 😆
These guy still at 80 hours to this day! Used 49 hours of it last year, for example, I used 20 hours of it in one weekend and another, then after that, I go back to 80 again twice! I AM PRACTICALLY THE KING OF UPT LOL!

When peak last month the pathway op manager big boss on IB came said hey y’all not throwing fast enough so all ops went there to mega and started throwing fast 😂 lines are packed we said f it don’t care we started slowing down receiving😂
out site so much dramas a lot peoples from IB left we have 5 lines and when worth only 2 people working 😂 they ask help people from OB no one wants to woke at IB area so sad 😅 also management and PAs and Problem Solve are ST u know.

Honestly I'm not even sure how its working now, I know we don't have drops with the full amount anymore but accumulates as you work the shift.
The new upt system is much more forgiving. Its easier to earn upt because I like to take VET. I used to struggle with the 20hr quarterly drops. Now I'm at maxed 80. I have to use upt every now and then so I don't go over the max hours allowed.
