I love this channel! I’m a self-proclaimed “MacGyverist”, always tinkering and finding diy solutions with what’s in hand (I don’t have Mac’s signature mullet- yet! Lol!). I hope you get paid well for what you do, sir! That’s serious creative ingenuity!
It's the mcgiver element that makes this so interesting. In terms of "far better solutions" , if buying a replacement isn't an option , what would you recommend?
No doubt a lot of fun and ingenuity. Also great filming, clearly a professional TH-camr. Should specify the very limited application. Because there are tons of ppl that can actually make proper gears that will last, that are tested, etc
You do realize there are actual resin's for this purpose and that baking soda super glue junk youre making is extremely fragile and will break and chip very easily?
You are right moi drug, for this application it's probably better to use resin. The hot glue mold is a good idea though; saves many hours and mess of silicon (for this type of small and quick requirement). Nevertheless, the baking soda + hot glue is quite good for specific repairs. So it's like everything: finding the right tool for the job.
I guess you could buy a 3D scanner so you could get the profile and angles of the gear ⚙️, reverse engineer it into a CAD file and convert it to an STL file, send it to a slicer program, then to the 3D printer… print it, clean it up and there you go. Very expensive for the scanner, softwares and printer. Or, you could make a little mold of the item as shown here duplicate it with some inexpensive materials similar to this video. There’s something satisfying about doing it this way, a simpler way, a lower cost way.
@officialmysteriousrider130 I don't remember adding this comment, cheap comments like this aren't my style so my apologies. I'm checking my security settings, this shouldn't happen again
Your technique is amazing, I got a lot of ideas from your initiative, thanks ❤
I admire your patience towards this man. I would probably do this if I can't buy the same item anymore haha.
It would be useful and interesting if you did a torque test on them afterwards to see how they perform

I like this cheeky use of a radiator. 😉👍

I love this, a quick temporary or permanent fix for stripped gears on your RC car!
Four minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Try using liquid wrench spray silicone with cerflon instead of WD-40, about the same price and will help get the parts easier
It's a great way to fix things that don't have a lot of stress on them. Idk how well it would work under constant stress though!
Very good my friend. That’s a smart idea.
Thanks a million
Ide idenya sangat luar biasa
Love the music!
Good good good...
Ruarr biasa..terima kasih 👍👍👍
Maravilloso , expectacular y “super” util para todos 👍
i wana see you make stuff from 3d printed molds and hot glue? plus, how strong is super glue and baking soda vs 3d printed parts.
If l hadn’t seen this, l wouldn’t believe that would happen 👍👌🏼
Pretty slick. DIY small plastic objects.
it's the same stuff acrylic nails are made of, or very similar.
Don't you just love these magic shows?...🧙💥
Awesome video Inventor 101,thanks for your advices👍😉👌
What re if reusable material can be I melt and pour in instead of buying resin or using superglue and powder?
Hola amigo saludo 👋
Great idea 💡
Far better ways of doing this but in a pinch if you're nowhere near the equipment needed to fix something, this could be very useful.

Best andy smart work
The precision I'm witnessing is so mind blowing. You should work for NASA my friend.
Need morree video for that theme super glue and soda, its really nice ideas🙂

Thais is a Very interest method. Excelente tô do repairs.
If you've got the time for this you might as well get a cheap 3d printer and then you can make whatever you want without the restrictions of a mold
Muy bueno tu video
What music track did you use for that video? :) I really like it!
Thank you so much tutorial
nice idea sir❤️❤️
Nice content.👌
good work
Bột màu trắng , loại hỗn hợp gì vậy bạn ?
Very nice. High five!
Very nice video. Glad to see a maker video with good music.
I'd rather hear good commentary.
yeah, that looks real practical. maybe you could make some brake rotors too. Disney would be proud.
Just havin' a whole heappa fun, that's all.😁
What is the other material? Which is used for mould.. Is it silicon or other?
it's hot glue gun
Good idea keep it up
Coole Sache...aber glaube das man eher selten ein intaktes Zahnrad nachbaut...meist ist es verschlissen oder zerbrochen.....dann wird das auch nix ...
Good idea
Mantap cuy
What viscosity works best for the super glue?
Always go with the low for faster cure
it would probably be better to already have an axle in the middle so that the gears don't wobble when in use
Can you please link the particular super glue that you use for this?
Any instant dry super glue would work
@@jihe4677 okay. Thanks
What a biq sponsorship with super glow
Do u use was to make mold ?
What powder is that...?
❤❤ nice
Does this work for stuff in cold conditions, or do you need a different combination for that?
Did you ever get to test these seems like they would b sronger than plastic but maybe brittle?🤷♂️

Think youre kinda missing the point of the videos
Superglue and baking soda can be found anywhere. If you're going to special order something, might as well order readymade gear.
I think they just wanted to make a temporary solution only with supplies you have at home
H8r's gonna h8.
Good Job
que hago cuando el engranaje esta barrido y no tengo ni un patron para usar de molde?😢
Good if no have force. :)
👍💯
Thank you. Is it possible to use this method to make a new gear to replace one that is missing teeth? If so, how would one do this?
Is it solid .how about life of gear
👍☺️
This is driving me crazy! What is the music you're using?
Bhai maja a Gay main kabhi har nahin manunga
Well Is posible copy the gear but cant resist the stress, eventualy the gear broken easly
This is a fun way to spend a dollar to save a cent.
There's this thing called 3d printing nowadays.
You should check it out

အရမ်းတော်တယ်
Cheaper, quicker, healthier, better and cheaper to buy a pack of gear wheels.
But maybe less fun.
Which chemical is use for mould case. Tell me
But you have to have brand new gears to do this with in the first place, and if you have brand new gears then why...
how many liters of super glue do you use in a year 😁😁👍🏻
یہ اپ سپر گلو کے ساتھ کیا ڈالتے ہو ؟
very very nice music
What baking soda (company?) is suggested to get a solid repaired material, or natron from the pharmacy? What should i buy?
Bro which spray you are using on this video I want to buy

Isn't it expensive to use super glue that way like if it was butter? i'd buy 5 plastic gears with the price of the amount glue spent on the video.

Depending on where you live, you can make one of these much faster than you will take to find an exact copy of your gear.
