Thank you for having me Sina❤ A pleasure as always!
Hi, Elsa. I love your low-key voice at the beginning to the intense voice at the end of this cover! ❤
Thank you for joining, Elsa. It’s always enrichment and joy seeing you in Sina’s videos and in the videos of your own band 🌹👏🏻
Thanks for joining!!! ❤️ There's more to come ;)
Just perfekt Always ! My great Respekt!
You did an incredible job with that song. Thank you for doing that. That song has a place in my heart and with you and Sina involved. It has 2 places in my heart.
I’m 76 years old. This has been my favourite song since it first came out. I never imagined that I would ever see a performance that matched Phil Collins but this is it. Wow. It gave me goosebumps.
It's probably shingles
You are so bad, but I had to laugh, and I'm 74. I had my shingle shots. Great video!@@michael1
Same here, and I am 75.
Same here. I'mm 77! Ha.
Hope u ok
This is Sina's 90th video to reach one million views and it did it in 2.5 months. Only one TH-cam drummer has more and he took in 6 more years. Congratulations Sina.
Love the voice.
HYPE!
Elsa Steixner does an excellent job with this song. Most singers can't do it justice. I'd like to hear her sing BS&T's God Bless the Child. Few would even attempt it. It's full of such passion.
WOW, what a beautiful voice, I can't get enough, I love this song and you two girls have just crushed it. Sina and Elsa, thank you.
I'm 81 years young. This has been one of my favorite songs when Phil did it, now Sina has me. Well done! You got my heart.😘
Every time I hear this it puts me back to Crockett and Tubbs racing down the causeway to rescue someone, knowing they're too late ... This is an awesome rendition...
Oh man, the early 80's were great, weren't they? Great music, great movies, tv was great back then, too...
OMG.....me as well.......
Crocket sending his wife away cause he loved her and wanted her safe even if he couldn’t have her. Was it real?
That solo guitar part that Sina's dad is playing is quintessential Miami Vice. It set the tone for the whole series.
"Ladies, That was fantastic!! You all have paid the perfect homage to Phil Collins. You have shown him Great Honor." EXCELLENT!!"
I just stumbled across this and I really wasn't expecting much. I humbly stand corrected. That young lady just rocked my world with her cover of Phil Collins. I love a band with a talented drummer! The spirit of 60's/70's rock lives on!!!
Im 72 and I'll say one word.... AWESOME!
Listened to Phil since I can remember, takes me back to a simpler time. Well done Sina, Elsa and the other musicians.
Elsa's voice....it's like an angel whispering directly into my ear. Shivers. I need to hear more of her music.
I’m 73 love this song. I turn up the radio ever time it come on. She does it well. But the original will never be topped.
I am from back then and you are correct. . You can not recreate the vibe and feeling of that era. I was fortunate to go through the late 60s, 70s,80s, and 90s music scene.. I stayed young as long as possible.
As a bass player, there's so many brilliant rhythms and synchopation in Phil's timeless song, and then the superb opening "Solo of Toms". Yeah, I grew up in the best era, and very nicely played by you all! ♥
Was für ein unglaubliches Cover! Elsa's Stimme geht unter die Haut und die Instrumental Begleitung macht Gänsehaut. Unfassbar gute Performance von allen Beteiligten.
I remember being at a club in 1981 when the song was released. Boy oh boy when those drums came in it was pure exhilaration. Being in the middle of the floor and speakers all around, man it was like magic.
03:40 als grosser Phil Collins/Genesis Fan warte ich immer geduldig auf den Einsatz der Drums, diesmal schossen mir aber die Tränen der Rührung WAAGRECHT aus den Augen! Grandios gecovert, Leute!Bin 70.
I wonder if Phil has heard this cover because if he hasn't then he really needs to because sina has nailed this perfectly imo
Sina, Mike and Elsa, this has long been one of my favorite songs by Phil Collins. I think I wore out the needle on my stereo listening to it back in the day. All of you did an incredible job on it making it even better and reminding me of how much I loved this song. It's always a treat when you make an appearance too Mike along with Sina on not only drums but Bass. Thanks so much to all of you!
I'm 65 years old , this is one of the Phil Collins masterpieces I can truly say she did a beautiful job and the drummer is on point keep it up I will support 😊
I swear I just traveled back to my teen years. This cover is awsome. Miss the 80s for sure.
Phil Collins did a great job on this song originally, but this version is breath taking, sultry, amazing musicians. My sincere compliments!
This cover, could be in my book, the best cover version of a great classic rock/pop song, ever made. It's perfect.
Elsa and Sina, this is a beautiful version that sends shivers down my back. Thank you.
Love it, Sina, this song brings back memories, WOW, I was 16 years old, nailed it, Sina. Keep Rockin' Drum Covers!
Outstanding!!! Awesome cover!!! I'm 65 years old and this song has been an all time favorite ever since it came out.
Amazing job y'all. Thanks for sharing.
Loving the homage to Phil's iconic live performance (First Farewell Tour), where Phil walks over to and sits down at the drum kit just in time to play the drum break. Great cover!
Yes, I noticed that too!
Extra special...Sina doing double duty Bass and Drums and having Dad on the guitar! Fantastic!
Nice to see dad again and Sina Playing guitars together great vocals and I am forever Sina fan have been a long time Beautiful and talented and rocking those skinny jeans and it was very enjoyable to see the facial expressions keep at it sweetheart thanks to the family in the effort
I’m used to Phil collins singing, she knows the words & cues, I will listen many times to her voice, I will, I can’t get Phil outta my head! Big diff between them!! Rock on!!!!!!!!!!🎉❤✌️✌️✌️🎈🤩🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉
all the old timers are talking about this song. i must have watched on video over a100 times . one of my favourite artists Phil . Now its you that keep his vibes alive . O i am pushing 70 years.😆
This is a pleasant surprise to see on your channel Sina, between Genesis and his solo
albums, Phil Collins really was The Man in the 80's 🥰
@Daathiel in some circles perhaps, I prefer the hilarious pro wrestling star Ric Flair's idea of it meaning to be the best at what you do "To BE the Man, you've gotta BEAT the Man" lol. Tbf Phil Collins was often seen as the quintessential "corporate rock" star, rather like Robert Palmer etc. I think there is a reason Phil is a favorite of Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho"- the "Sussudio" scene is quite iconic
He was too popular they had Kill Phil bumper stickers in Colorado in '85
@@Brian-zp1df haha yes I can remember the makers of South Park roasting poor Phil after his song for Disney's Tarzan beat their song for the Oscar :D
impressive! Phil Collins and Genesis were the best band in the world for a while. everything they played went top of the charts, and album sales. Aaah, the good old days. this was a great rendition. the drummer was spot on.
Just catching up and I finally saw this from start to finish. Listening with ear buds at almost full volume, I can detect every subtle nuance of this production, and I am in sheer awe. You must all realize that the original by Phil Collins, is one the best pieces of recorded music of all time with subtle echo and effects, etc. This version is the closest you can get to that level of perfection and in some parts has surpassed the original. Awesome crunchy guitar sound (thanks @Mike Wilbury / Doering), beautiful and haunting vocals (@Elsa), and of course (do we need to say it?)... Sina... I've officially run out of words!
Peace and Music forever, all!
I would argues that the drums, bass and vocals are better on Sina's version. There are too many effects on Phils voice, here there are no effects (that I can hear) on Elsa's voice. The bass is a lot clearer, and the iconic drum fill isn't really all that noticeable on the original. I imagine that Phil's execuse is that it was the 80s.
@@hbp2m - LOL, "It was the 80s" That's the reason I give for wearing my hair in a tail, hahaha! But you're right. The bass part was much more noticeable in this rendition, and the drums were better too. Plus, I don't think Phil Collins had 5 toms on his kit back then, did he? I felt ashamed when I added a fourth tom to my V-Drum kit, but FIVE? That's just gluttony, LOL!
So, I always like to leave positive comments, but I do have a critical question here, and I MUST ask this: I was just happening to listen to the original track by Phil Collins and I was about to skip, but got drawn in by the soothing intro... and with my earbuds at almost full volume, I was listening to the synthesizer ambiance just before the vocals come in, and I thought I should go back and listen again to this cover... It sounds to me like that part of the instrumentation is EXACTLY the same... I went back and forth between tracks just to confirm what my ears were telling me. So either it was an incredible rework of the original or it was a recorded backing track... Now, I'm not trying to cause trouble here, but I just really need to know 😊. The synth drums at the beginning are awesome and extremely close to the original. But since we see Sina playing, I'm sure she did that part. But I believe the synthesizer "ambiance" may have been pulled from the Phil Collins recording. Please don't "hate" me for asking this . And it doesn't/shouldn't take away from the artistry and efforts of this cover. Elsa's vocals are still fantastic, as well as Mike's distorted guitar and Sina's brilliant drumming (and edited this to mention her outstanding bass playing) . But, as you can tell, I am a critical listener, and just want to know if part of this is from a backing track. I'm still a fan of Sina and the Döring family for life, and I'm not going away anytime soon (and one more addition... Sina's bass playing is definitely better than the original track)
You killed it. This is very special. For many drummers including myself. Phil Collins brought us into drums.
I got chills from the singers svelt and tone at the very beginning of this song and was glad to be introduced to this drummer!!!
What can anyone say? This is absolutely a stunning rendition. Should be released, it surely would top the charts
was i impressed by this performance NO however i was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY WOW. drums perfect, vocals perfect, guitar perfect, arrangement perfect, videography perfect ...i could go on .... there is no way anyone could make this performance any better than it is.
I absolutely loved this..
You all did a brilliant job. Greetings from New Zealand. I have to go back to the start and listen again and again 👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is really, REALLY GOOD! I have been playing this to all my friends and they all just go silent and LISTEN! To the whole thing from beginning to end. That doesn't happen too often. That singer ELSA is excellent at her job.
Wow that was good, little drummer girl rocked it.
Hey Sina, und Ihr alle: Ganz grosse Klasse 🥰 Und natürlich das Intro am Drumset fantastisch 🩷
My wife and I were fortunate enough to see Phil Collins in OKC some years ago. He did perform this as well. You have done an excellent cover. My brother was a great drummer as well and he could do a lot of Phil's music. Congratulations, you nailed it!
Sina träumt mit Ihren Drums wunderschön wie Sie das das macht …… und jetzt die das große Schlagzeug 🥁
One of Phil Collins best works
This lady is unbelievable! Im sure Phil is impressed with this lady!
An amazing rendition of one of the most popular songs of MY ERA! Grew up in Rome Italy and when that song came out, I dragged my mom to get the album! Remember it like it was yesterday. Thank you for allowing me to relive such amazing memories about the impact this song had on me
Well done! True to the original! Thank you all.
Just an absolutely brilliant version Sina & Company! I think I remember reading it was actually Sting who strongly recommended that those epic drums come in at the end, love Elsa's vocals too!! 🥰💫🎵
It's quite amazing if that's true, this AND "I want my MTV"-tune from Money for Nothing,- two epic parts from two epic songs.
Ahora me doy cuenta que philip Collins fue muy Egoísta con su música ,Nadie podrá igualar esa voz chillante y potente que resaltaba al abrir su garganta y deleitarnos con esos grandes temas
This has to be the greatest and immaculate drum cover this amazing song.
You keep finding 'unlikely' songs where Elsa's voice is right to make a new and yet authentic cover. Please carry on the good work - and thanks equally to your Dad and the whole team that make these pieces possible.
Absolutely sensational! Elsa, Sina, and Mike, you've truly outdone yourselves with this cover of "In the Air Tonight." The chemistry between you all is electrifying, and it's such a treat to see Mike on guitars. Elsa's vocals are a perfect match for this iconic track. It's covers like these that remind us of the magic of music. Bravo to each of you, and hats off to Nils for the fantastic video production.
MAGIC!!! What a voice!! a beautiful song for drummers....The best one of Miami Vice in the 80's!
ELSA ~ vocals are amazing!
I think I have seen this one before and it gets better every time I watch it. Your vocalist should have an album of her own! And of course you killed it on the drums Sina!
Was für ein Kunstwerk! Einfach nur klasse
Amazing is all I can say.. Phil would be proud n I know cuz you gave me chills and tears Elsa.. your a great 💯👍
That's just like I imagined the female voice version of the song would sound, nice job all ! Drums absolutely amazing as usual, well done Sina and all
Fantastic interpretation from "Phil Collins". Very high standard. Continue with what you are doing. Hats off to great musicians .
This song came out when I was in high school. Always a favorite to play while cruising around or at the woods parties we used to have all the time. and yes EVERY TIME that drum fill would come everyone within hearing range would stop what they were doing and air drum when it played.
Great to see kids / young adults performing this music....The world needs new bands! New styles, artistic approaches.
Yes it does, Judson...yes it does!
Miss Sina-Drums It is an honor to hear this wonderful song performed so professionally. Also together with his Father they make a Band (for the instruments and voices) of Peso. His little eyes shine and you can see that great Fiato. Great interpretive strength of Miss Elsa. From Santiago de Chile a big hug, applause and thanks for the video.
Fantastic cover! Great job Elsa, Mike and Sina!!! It was neat to see Mike on the boat jamming with you, Sina! I think this is the first time we've seen you playing your baby blue bass! Thanks to Nils and Jaron for the filming/editing work and background vocals. 🙂 I've been air drumming to this song for 42 years! 🙄
Christ !! That is mindblowing, in every sense !!! Thankyou 🤗
Let me tell you, I play this cover to everyone I encounter (lot of people in Ohio, USA) and everyone is mesmerized by the vocals, drums with this simple visual, excellent audio quality performance video. Everyone asks me who this person, group is? Then I explain who you are and where to find you online. I tell everybody, "That's the drummer's father doing the guitar there!!!" Really, one of the best covers ever. I have listened to this and played it overa hundred times to friends and it always still feels fresh. Elsa's vocals are mesmerizing. Sina's drums are flawless, and beyond, as usual.
My current day job, for the past year, is doing medical transport in a minivan taking people to their dialysis treatments and other medical patient appointments. Most people are not in the greatest of moods to go to a doctor. I have black people, white people, hispanic people, old, young, religious, non-religious, smart and dumb.... EVERYBODY loves this Sina ~ In The Air Tonight cover with ELSA! They stop talking and just listen. It's amazing! From ages 21 to 90+, they all love this cover. And they all ask me, "WHO IS THIS?" I tell them.
Wow, that's awesome!! Thank you so much :)
@@sina-drumsHey, Sina, I would love to jam with you! I play guitar! And want to be friends?
Selbst Ozzy sagt zu diesem Song: "DAS IST MAGIE"..... Gut gemacht, Chapeau...as usual, madame
That was *FANTASTIC!!*. Very impressive!! Wonderful cover!
I was lucky enough to see Phil Collins play this song live at the Nashville (Tennessee, USA) Amphitheatre in the early 1990s. Every light in the place was turned off, except for a single spotlight on him while he sang and played the first part of the song. When the famous drum-fill came in -- BOOM BOOM BAH BOOM BAH BOOM BAH BOOM BOOM BOOM -- literally **EVERY SINGLE LIGHT** in the place flashed in time with the music. An *EXPLOSION* of light and sound!! It was one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen in a live concert. REALLY amazing!!!
Very enjoyable video. It was a refreshing surprise to see a drummer who knows how to hold her sticks properly.
Sina, a long time since I saw you playing drums last. I've never seen a young lady playing drums. You are unique. ❤
There are many female drummers on TH-cam; some of them are very good. Sina is probably the best, and by far the most viewed.
Thanks for sharing this amazing performance. This 74 year old rocker loves your work. Elsa's voice is exquisite, beautiful. Seeing you playing bass with your dad put a smile on my face. Your transition to the drums made me scream out loud! Sina, fantastic as always!❤❤❤❤ 😂😂😂
Wow! Iwas captured by the great smokey and sultry vocals of Elsa.
I am 69 years old, so I have heard Phil Collins for many years, since he was with Genesis. This was as good a cover of his music I have heard. Keep playing; you have a really good sound!
I am 66 and I agree
Absolutely well done, so much amazing talents together performing all in harmony together!!
Yes Phil created a amazing song ,so glad you all took it to another level for all the world to enjoy.Thank you all for your hard work and dedication!!
Wow, watching the turn of the hips and walking toward to kit…you just KNOW how awesome what was coming next was going to be…damn. The lyrics were haunting and the punctuation marks that were the guitar were perfect…holy cow…
That singer ELSA is crazy excellent, good.
Yeah, I loved the confidence Sina shows as she moved to the drum kit. You just knew how that beat would go down.
I've lost count of how many times I've listened to this today. The voice is as smooth as silk, the drumming is gentle and powerful, the guitar playing is great, and the baseline is flowing and haunting. The post-production work is superb, making this my favorite cover production from the Sina Drums channel since I discovered it 7 years ago. Everyone, drop the mic! I'm taking a break for a week or two to recover!
Wow, thank you!
I did take a break for far more than 15 minutes, but then her vintage channel produced by her dad, has created what seems to be a digital daughter based on an earlier cover. He did a truly fantastic and artistic production. So now we have a third Doering sister! But this one exists in a computer! Go check his production out! What a technical and artistic masterpiece!
On of the most emotional song´s of these world!!!!👍👍👍
And You both have killed it...WOW😘😘😎
This song will always have a place in my late\overnight play list. Especially on a cool misty night. The drum fill hits and suddenly you are going way over the speed limit.
WOW, I love it Sina, excellent job! And I also love Elsa's voice, she did an amazing job also. And of course we can't forget about your Dad, Mike, doing his outstanding work on the guitar. All in all, a fabulous performance by all!!!
@@gerthoffmann5436 Ah yes, thanks for the reminder, Gert!! Sorry Rick!!
Thanx 4 that. I goofin' on keys just now & never scrolled down for the credits. Now I like this vid a little more(ha-ha).@@gerthoffmann5436
Just got a "telegram fake". They're not giving up!@@gerthoffmann5436
Wow, wow, what a silky rendition. I'm particularly touched that Dad made a point of doing the guitar section very lightly to allow the other elements to stay forward.
A beautiful gift of music from Elsa, Sina and Mike! So good 💕💕💕
That lp was sold out for months when it came out. Drove me nuts until it was available. Great job y'all
Really enjoyed this one. Brings back so many good memories of my teenage past. For years I called it the Miami Vice song 😊.
A great cover of a hauntingly classic song. Vocals, guitar and bass all spot on. And of course, the iconic descending tom riff towards the end, sitting down at the kit just in time, like Phil did in concert. Kudos to you all!!!
So much talent on this video!
That was an absolutely Amazing performance. Sina your So Awesome and Incredibly Dynamic and Totally Gorgeous
I'm still amazed at the quality of your content. All i can say is well done Sina, well done.
This cover blew me away
What a way to honor a great song, with incredible Musicians and ELSA! 3 FLOOT Tom-Toms! I was in heaven with 2-a 16' and an 18', 10"x12" and 11"x13" shell mount Toms on a Yamaha split holder, 22" Yamaha Maple Absolute in Sea Blue. They sounded much better than my 20" 1963 Slingerland Jazz set in Black Diamond pearl I bought used from a Drum Shop in New Haven Ct in 1980 from Jim Stavris. I even bought a 10"x13 in 1983 to add to it and the black diamond pearl wrap was slightly different but unnoticeable. I played 5 cymbals and my prized cymbal was a Zildjiian 22" ping ride. It went with my 20" ride and they sounded great! I had to retire in 2002 after 34 years and if I live to be 100 I could never play like Sina does. She's a natural!
I was senior in high school when this song released, thank you for making old man feel young again
You dad must be so proud of you. I know I am.I have seen you grow from a little girl to a young woman to talented beautiful young lady. I will forever love you and your music. Keep up the great work.🥁❤️❤️🌹🌹🍾
I just have to say Elsa I love your voice and how you added so much to the song . Miss Sina you were excellent on that bass and drums as always. Nice seeing you your Dad jamming with you and Elsa hope we see more of him and Elsa on future adventures. Best wishes as always take care……
This is one of my favorite Songs of all time. This may be one of the GREATEST & MOST unique covers of all time IMHO
Sina, I have followed you for many years and still my favorite videos are those you do with your Dad. Something very magical happens when you and your Dad work together. His presence always seems to pull out the best in you, your guest artist, your EQ - your audio mix - everything always seems to be better when your Dad is involved. He is blessed beyond measure with talent and you are his shining star. Love you both! Keep making real music.
The drums were spot on. I liked the effects on the vocals as well.
Amazing! Mesmerizing! Beautifully done everyone! 🤗♥️
I’m 63 years old. This has been my favourite song since it first came out. I never imagined that I would ever see a performance that mat
Yup, and I never imagined I would be listening to it and being 62 and getting Social Security and being called a senior citizen. Man, the tables flipped suddenly. I can remember being out in our garage everyone partied in at night with the stereo out there on hot summer nights.
It was awesome to wake up to this post this morning. Elsa has such a great voice and sings with such emotion. Sina nailed it as usual. I saw Phil Collins in Minneapolis years ago. So many of his songs have such meaning and inconvenient truths. No Son Of Mine (effects of domestic violence on kids); Another Day in Paradise (homelessness) and particularly relevant today, Land of Confusion.
Great cover!! Nice to see your dad. He looks very 'Beatle' on the same day they released their 'last' song! Maybe something IS in the air-haha! Elsa is an amazing vocalist. Thanks for waiting for her. The vibe is really there!! Grove on!!
She does this song very well and it’s always a pleasure to see Mike and his beautiful daughter demonstrating her skill and showing off her awesome beauty thanks for the cover everyone involved
I Never dreamed that I could hear a version of this that could match Phil Colins but this comes pretty close!
Fantastic! Everyone of you!
