How is the rust on the pinch welds/rocker panel? I'm in MN too and my 03 wrx body is mega rusty and I want to do something like this with it, but my pinch welds are bad.
They've seen better days, but will hold up. This Impreza chassis only had 125K on it and despite all the rust spots the important stuff is pretty solid!

I could be posting early but really clean and paint the welded backers, mine started to rust :/
