Molly you are an inspiration. I am 73 years old and years ago i was married to a woman that could play guitar like you. You made this day a happy one for me.
Just when you fear that traditional musicianship might be on the wane, young people like Molly reaffirm our beliefs that actual high level playing and singing is still a thing. Performances like these still touch the heart.
It's a special feeling listening to somebody who is so good you know that even if you spent every waking hour the rest of your life practicing, you would still not be able to reach their level. I will keep playing anyway, and have fun with how far I can take it.
Molly is brilliant. Stunning guitar work, vocal, and her songwriting talents make her a triple threat! Though she's also a bandleader, etc. She's astonishing.
Wow. I can remember fifteen or probably more years ago I would download fiddle music tabs off her dad, Jack Tuttle’s renditions of traditional music from his website. And I found Jack Tuttle and his cute family back then doing bluegrass music on TH-cam. Little did I know back then that this little girl would would grow up to be such an amazing talented star. Actually, I may have suspected it.
Molly: You kick serious butt!!! I started seriously playing guitar after finishing six years of chemo for the incurable cancer (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) I received as a "gift" from the Marine Corps after being exposed to Agent Orange during one of our many wars many decades ago. I always wanted to learn how to play "She's a Rainbow" and after studying how you play I will certainly have a better grasp of it. Thanks for posting this, and now I am subscribing to your TH-cam Channel so I can hear more of your songs. Cheers!

@@tylerrjohnson68 Well, I've been through 3 Molly vids where she's teaching technique and such, but they are long, and there are more, and I can't find the specific moment she goes into how slow she plays new songs. So you can trust me, or not, but she slows it down just like we have to, until she gets the melody and picking memorized. I would gather she picks up speed a lot faster than we do though.

1st time the algorithm connected me to Molly. I know nothing about her except this video. As soon as I heard her flat picking adaptation of the original record's piano introduction, I knew she deserved to be famous. I hope she is or will be. BTW, I wasn't disappointed by her singing. It's every bit as good as her guitar introduction.
I highly recommend her "white freightliner" tune, not sure if it is hers or a cover but she completely owns it, what a guitarist! "molly tuttle white freightliner no interview"
Everytime I watch a Molly Tuttle video I'm blown away. I find myself rewinding and studying her technic. The fact that she did this one without a wig makes it even better. She's such an inspiration

Molly Tuttle, you are truly beautiful, inside and out. How could anybody sound so good in voice and be such a good guitar player as well? This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and I like your version way better than the stones. Thank you.
I found her music through her cover of "How Can I Tell You." She amazes me: her talent, daring, She makes these her own....Ms Tuttle, your music empowers and inspires. Thank you for whatever you do to be you.
My first thought was "OMG NO, does she have cancer!" I had to look it up. Nope. Anyway, Molly has been blowing me away since I first saw her win the songwriting contest at Merlefest years ago. Everything about her is beautiful.
Saw her play this live last night in Hattiesburg, MS. She was great holding her own, as the opening act, as well as playing/singing along with the Old Crow Medicine Show’s set. Great night with great music
Fantastic picking !!! Never seen you before and I'm blown away. This is such an amazingly beautiful song. In the original, the piano always reminds me of those little pianos for children (like Schroeder plays). It just gives the tune such a sweet feel. I got an image of her combing thru her hair and shooting colors everywhere. I got misty eyed !
Wow! She brought it down from warp speed and I could actually follow her fingers in the solo. Beautiful. And Molly complements her playing to her vocals so well, as the best great singers all do. She is a quality musician with a tremendously good ear. You go, girl! ❤
I would never have believed that it was possible to create a cross-picking arrangement of "She's a Rainbow". You are truly a musical genius!
Bravaaaaaaaaaaaaaa from Italy.
Molly T. can create a cross-picking arrangement of ANYTHING, I’m convinced.
She is genuine brilliant! I am seeing her at Big Ears™ this evening and thought I'd listen to some on TH-cam today.

I am overcome. I don't know why but this girl has more Divinity in her than most of us. I am grateful. Man.

It’s like guitars are happy when Molly plays them.
