- The New Avatar: The Last Airbender Live-Action Remake just dropped on Netflix, and I spent over 28 hours watching the show FOUR TIMES in a row to analyse what went wrong and what went right. Watch this video to find out if the show is any good or not!

It's nice to see that someone has watched the show and gave their own opinion. Very refreshing, thank you
Yes I think people are bashing the show too much and they didn't really give it a chance.
I watched this without really looking at my phone assuming the created was a large professional channel with a lot of subscribers and money. I was very surprised to learn your channel is small for how good the product quality is. You’re doing good work man keep it up!
Thank you for you kind words sir!
Thank you for defending the good in this series. I still see a lot of people nagging about the casting, etc… but they didn’t just sit down to enjoy it.
It is hard to recreate a masterpiece.
Yes many people are going through it with a fine comb and treating this show with the same criteria as the original. If you take a step back it's a pretty good show overall!
@@drkevin1302 No media is exempt from critique and I understand people were entertained by this show but you liking this show does not mean it wasnt terribly written and directed. Saying people didn't watch the show or are nagging is an insult to the intelligence of people who are making valid criticism or just stating their opinions
@@jackieroberts2625 You make great points and in no way was I trying to insult anyone here. I'm just trying to provide a different opinion and encourage people to give it a try. I believe it is nowhere near as bad as some people are saying it is.
The first live action I consider a "Live Action Ember City Players Production"
Haha that's good enough for me!
Gonna go watch now
I love the show. I know its going to have some downsides due to squeezing 20 episodes into 8, but it's still good despite that.
In season 1, there are 3 things the live action did better than the anime in my opinion.
The story of how Zuko got his scar. I liked that explanation of why Zuko does care for his crew rather than simply saving one their lives in a storm in the anime.
The other was the explanation of what Aang was doing with the ocean spirit. The anime didnt explain that at all, the live action did. I also liked that there was more of an explanation of how Zhao killed the moon spirit other than just simple fire bending in the anime.
The 3rd was getting his past avatars more involved in Aangs journey. In the anime, we mostly saw Roku, Kyoshi twice, Koruk and Yangchen once at the very end.
Yes I agree with you completely!
I love how they focussed on Zuko's backstory so early in the show as well! Adding that extra spark really made his character shine.
Aang interacting with the Avatar's was a pretty clever way to explain some expositition stuff without it becoming bad dialogue. Overall it was a pretty good choice, especially with Koruk's knife as well! 👍
Best vid so far?
yeah spent a lot of time on this one!!
I subscribed. Love your narration and analysis. 🙌🙌
thank you!
I really liked it too!
I am glad. A lot of fun!
Thanks for giving the show a fair shot!! I think it’s getting too much hate
Yeah a lot of people are hating on the show without even watching it at this point. It is very sad to see.
Great production!
thank you!
Avatar Live-Action Remake is better than the original animated series, so far as I've watched the animated series. I kinda find some of the humor in the original series forced (like Iroh's sandal) and I personally prefer the Lotus tile instead. My favorite character in Live-Action is Zuko. And I find the original... Kinda boring.
this is a wild take... but I get where your coming from.. Although I'll have to disagree with you (Zuko is BORING? Are we even watching the same show)
@@drkevin1302 No. The joke about Iroh's sandal in an episode of the original animated series feels forced.
Considering that Aang and Katara was so bad in the show. It made me rewatch Shymalamadingdong's version. Yup I prefer the movie's Aang and Katara. Everyone else goes to Netflix. Especially Iroh, Zuko and Sokka... Can't say the same for Azula and the Gang. Atrocious casting.
Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to adaptations!
Quite simply, I cant stand the screaming, shrieking and carrying on they do in most animated series. Wow. Even being in the same room as someone watching that, requires a new kind of tolerance that I dont have. Three minutes of that ugly noise drives me mental.
Yeah they toned down a lot of the cartoonish features so that more people can enjoy the story and characters.
So basically u sad that visuals are great and the show is ofc worse then the original. Why this Netflix adaptation is good exactly?
The show is not as good as the original, but that doesn't automatically make this a bad show. It has good visuals, good characters for the most part, and a decent plot. Also I definitely pointed all of this out in the video.
@@drkevin1302 I think from 0 to 100 where 0 is the movie and 100 is the cartoon, this show is ~ 55
@@dominuspleb5741 Yeah that's a fairer review, but in my opinion, it's more like 70. But yeah I can see why someone would not like the show as much, but I personally enjoyed it.
