Same! I have been in Jersey for 18 years. Is like I want new life many people tell me " oh hey go to the army" " oh transfer to a new college" My goal is to graduate with my bachelor's degree and save money throughout my four years in college to live in Miami Florida. I am such an introvert like I am very insecure because of the way my family raised me so yes New Jersey mentally drained me. I can not wait to move to Florida yes it may seem like years away, is also good to plan. Starting a new life, new family, and starting off in a different state can help my self-esteem. Thank you for the video!

Love your vids ! Moved to Miami very recent, like a month lol… I just suck at meeting people. I’ve been in Florida since I was 11, I’m 25 now. I feel like I actually miss the season changes I’d see in Atlanta, the nice coats I’m able to wear in the winter, brick buildings, I’m going to give Miami a few months maybe a year and try something else after. Enjoy Florida though, it’s nice overall

I'm from Michigan and have lived here my whole life. Like you, I have that feeling of wanting a change and feeling clocked out or drained. It's repetitive here and I'm tired. I seek adventures and new beginnings. My uncle is planning a trip down there. Idk which area yet but my dad asked me about it since he knows I wanna live there. So if it works out, I'd go down with my dad and uncle for Labor Day weekend and test the waters. Think I've settled on West Palm Beach area. Have a buddy from school that lives there and he loves it.
I get jitters as most do I'm sure. I've never moved out of a city let alone a state and that drive for me would be 21 hours. I'm excited but also anxious but trying not to psych myself out. I think the hardest part for me would be that homesick feeling because I'm so close with my family. But I'm not happy in Michigan. Some of my flaws are I tend to overthink things can be indecisive so I second guess myself a lot so learning not to do.
But as someone who didn't attend college, Idk what I'd do for work. My friend says there's lots of jobs but Idk what I'd do because I do have different interests and can't make up my mind. I thought of West Palm Beach because it'd be slightly cheaper and slower paced compared to Miami but watching this, it tempts me to give Miami a shot. I like the culture. Seems like a different country on its own lol. What did you get a certification in? I just found your channel sorry but I see you're into fitness. I'm into fitness as well. Though, the past year I've been super lazy.😩 I think about getting into personal training/fitness type stuff or even real estate. I don't have the book smarts to make it as a doctor or engineer lol.
Any tips? Not gonna make the move until after I can take the trip down there. How much should one have saved? I have roughly 7k now. Should I get a certification in something now or make the move, find a job and then go for a certification? Sorry this was a long post but it's a big decision to make. Great video!
Hi! Im glad my video has been able to help you. I would recommend coming down, renting a car or borrowing your uncles and drive around. There are other cities like Fort Lauderdale, del ray, boca, that aren’t as crazy as Miami but not quiet.
Miami is FILLED with opportunities. So being in a city, you will find a job if your willing to put yourself out there.
It is ok to not be “book smart” there are no rules in life. I was told I would never graduate college because I wasn’t smart enough and I did. But now my interests and drive is going towards something completely different than what I studied in school.
I would recommend finding a hobby, something you enjoy doing and if that is Fitness - give it a try!
Personally, I would recommend moving, getting a job and then if fitness is still in your head get your cert!

@@JessicaTellian oh girl I moved July 2022 and signed a 14 month lease. I live in Midtown 🥰 I didn’t do a short term since it was cheaper to sign a long term lease. Best decision I ever made!!!!!

i enjoy visiting Miami but honestly could never lived there. the economy is mostly based on entertainment and tourism. hard to get a solid career started there. the wages are low and cost of living are high, the weather is way too humid and hot for my liking, hurricanes, and in my experience people are fake as hell. and not a place to raise a family.just my experience good luck i actually really like the NYC/NJ area greetings from Chicago good luck enjoy your life!

I was debating going down for a month first too! Probably in December (if my remote work request is approved). Since I already have tickets to a music festival down there in December, I thought I could make a month long trip out of it to test the waters. What'd you do to meet people during that time? Or do you have a video about how you spent that time? I'd be interested in hearing more about that.

Wow 😯 you drive from Jersey to Miami, FL. I’m from 45 minutes away from Miami (Ft. Lauderdale) and I’m like wow? Lol. I’ve lived in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, and then back to Florida.
Just people need to prepare when coming here to have a good paying job or established business. Second, the hurricane season from June to November. They don’t come yearly but they can depending on the seasons. One recently hit central Florida but normally South Florida always get impacted when one do come but not since 2017 (Hurricane Ian). Check Hurricane zones, build a Hurricane stash in your closet, and be prepared even if one don’t come for the next 100 years lol. That’s my only thing to people lurking trying to figure out if Florida is the place for them in these comments. Besides that it’s a diverse beautiful place, just have multiple streams incomes w/the proper ambition along with determination, get around the right people here not partying life away, and live your best life while living in Florida.

It depends! If your used to living some I think you will be fine. I honestly don’t miss my home. I only miss my family/friends and dogs! But it’s only a 2 hour flight so I know I always have the ability to come home :)

Don't need to be specific, but what kind of work are you in. I would love to live in Miami but is so expensive there, and I know that building and area you live in is NOT cheap at all. Nothing is.... even living in the hood or in hialeah is expensive. 😫
