Best Rain Gear for the Camino de Santiago? Quite Possibly!
Alright, pilgrims, gather 'round because after 3 Caminos, I've finally cracked the code on staying dry in Spain’s famously soggy weather. And when I say soggy, I mean really wet. Like, 7-days-of-rain-straight-in-July wet! Trust me, after all that, I know what "pappy" (yes, me) likes when it comes to rain gear.
In this video, I’ll be showing you my go-to rain hacks-tricks that have kept me not just dry but not wet (there’s a difference, I promise). These tips were field-tested over three Caminos, including my recent adventures on the Camino Norte, Primitivo, and Muxia. There's some fresh footage from July but most was filmed back in June, right before the rain gods decided to test my patience.
Now, let me address the elephant in the room: why has it been so long since my last video? Well, funny story... my MacBook crashed, taking with it several completed vids. Yep, first day of the Norte, a few "How-To" guides... gone. There’s something zen about losing it all and starting from scratch-except it wasn’t zen. It sucked.
