in 13:24 you mention not being able to press out of j.2MK j.2MK is one of wolveriens most important moves as it has some extremely important usages 1. In normal jump state you are able to cancel into a punch whether on hit, whiff or block, this allows you to dominate neutral with fastfall j.HP. It also gives you access to instant overheads with any of the punch buttons 2. Since all buttons in this game are super jump cancellable, you can input j.2MK IMMEDIATELY after super jumping and this allows you to instantly fastfall after super jumping which lets you continue pressure, this combined with wolverines ability to "rebeat" makes his pressure game terrifying 3. This one is gimmicky and quite difficult but you can also backhop (hold 4 after landing j.2MK) and this gives you your air actions again and puts you in normal jump state We have lots of tech in the XMEN COTA discord you should check it out! also wolverine hp throw is awful, MP throw is a million times better as you can otg out of it and get a stun
Making Wolverine both easy to pick up and strong was a brilliant design choice. In the 90s especially, he was crazy popular, so no doubt plenty of kids coming across the arcade machine are gonna pick him first.
What’s really funny is Psylockes standing heavy punch completely wiffs over the top of Wolverines head. I was losing my mind with her arcade run because I was throwing that out and was like “dang it! He’s so short!” Lol
People who complain about Elena in USF4 clearly never played COTA lol, Wolverine's almost a boss character in this game, the most broken he's ever been by far.
The point of a hard knockdown is that you CANNOT tech roll them traditionally, unless its different in this game for some reason. Soft knockdowns are your techable rolls.

@@HybridAngelZero Agreed! I've been a Wolverine fan ever since I was a kid, so making him easy to use was a very good decision
Man Psylocke is so thicc in this game.
@@justingoers 8 year old me went crazy seeing Psylocke's sprite
Yass
He was better in this game just like some other X-Men characters.

Wolverine the goat! It sucks that he is not as good in mvc2 because team x-men without needing two wolverine's would be fun.
I see... Aussie man likes wolverine 🤨 😂 I can't wait for Nightcrawler representation in a mvc game 😭
@@Ledluver Nightcrawler would be awesome! And yeah, I gotta love Wolverine haha
A mutant from Canada played by an Aussie?!?

It's Mahvel baby!
I'd love to see Colossus talked about, love Colossus here
