Great video. Having set a PB in the NYC half earlier in the year in the endorphin pro 4, it feels like they are getting faster and better the more I wear them.
I have both and find that the NB has more volume due to the rounded toe box… the taper on the EP4 is too aggressive. NB for marathons and long marathon effort runs, EP4 for anything faster. Works well even at 5km pace for me. Would love to take the EP4 to full marathon distance but it’s much stiffer and my plantar gets tender beyond 30km.
Agree !!! Have a Hard time getting the proper use of the pro 4, slower Than HM pace. I pronate heavliy , and had a test In most of the super shoes and the best one for me was the elite, but couldnt lock it Down because of the Heel collar. So the second best was the pro 4.
The socanoy heel, dose not hold the foot. The foot splays over the sides and feelings like there just won't be enough heel there for the later miles when you get tired and out of form
For my mechanics I have yet to be able to take the SC Elite V4 over 7 miles 😢, idk if it’s the drop or the stability but much more comfortable than the Pro 4 either way
Endorphin Elite set the bar so high, that Pro 4 is a disappointment in comparison. I struggle with bounce and energy even on average speed runs. I've done my fastest runs with Endorphin Elite and I'm going back to that shoe even for trainings.
I have the Pro 4 but finding it to be clunky as you mentioned. I really like the Rebel V4, especially for its geometry and fit (I have wide feet). Should I give the SC Elite 4 a try?
I do have both of them and they are not really anything alike..the NB is much softer and more comfortable for longer runs..the Saucony is quite firm and might be a little faster..I take out the insole from the pro4 cos it's HG and too stiff..after I put the pro3 insoles in the pro4 it makes it a much better shoe..you can see the difference between them..a even better combination is the older endorphin line insoles..they have the heel cup shape and gets me a much better lockdown..I don't like my foot sliding around in my racing shoes..I also get the women's B width in the NB cos the D width is very sloppy on foot..ok for training, but not for racing..

Running my first marathon in 5 weeks, I’ve tried the alpha fly 2 and got such an aggressive blister in the arch, and I’m really worried and concerned to buy the alpha fly 3 for this exact reason. Now I’m considering either one of these elite shoes, I need help. I feel after using the alpha fly 2 my foot may be a bit wide, but I need a good marathon shoe! Please help
Can I ask, I am looking for a racing shoe for my 1st marathon that will provide a bit of stability. I need a wider base on the forefoot as a broke my ankle and my right foot roll inward. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
Both of these shoes appear to have lost their bigger training sibling: The SC trainer might be gone and definitely the Endorphin shift for for the Pro 4. The SC elite is a bit heavier than the SC elite 3 and is maybe the fast training shoe? You guys often have insider info. SC trainer bit the dust?

got the pro and I love it!!! exactly what I was looking for.
Heel of the new balance+ front of the socauny= really pleasant shoe.
Note SC Elite v4 2E is widely available, which would give you MORE room than Endorphin Pro 4.

I use a heel lock knot so no issues

Unfortunate the front big ball of the foot rolls inward for me on the new balance. And when you consider it's the same price as a Nike Alpha fly 🙂↔️
That rolling inward works really well for some of us. My problems come from shoes that supination. The SC Elite 3 worked similarly.
Nike and NB are made for very different feet. Silly comparison.

Ran saucony pro 4 in a 5 miler race other day ,found it very fast

Maybe that's why after trying them on and running a bit i had very thin cuts on my ankles. I had to cinch it tight to get a heel lock.

The EP4 is an ugly shoe. EP3 was a lot better in terms of looks.
Heel of socauny+ toe of new balance= terribly unstable shoe.
