We have what we call a mud bog with jeeps around here.
Its crazy that different cultures come up with basically the same stuff, just to have some fun.
This is beautiful! What spectacular family fun day. Locals getting amongst it, nothing over the top, no big corporate sponsors, just kids out there blatting around making a mess.
Of course local businesses get involved but yes it's not nearly drowned in advertisements and committee rubbish

Reminds me of Tatooine pod-racing. It's drag racing, mud racing & pod racing rolled into one... & maybe also being able to do your rice farming in a fraction of the time.
I think it is exactly that in spirit, althoug in spirit more akin to what bored young farmers would do, those who are feverishly waiting for power converters to arrive.
They had to use something on the rice patties on Tatoonie. Now we know what the pods were really for.😆

The best part about this is if you go fast enough you can hydroplane, which can easily transition to flight, which would make this pod racing.

Now as a greedy fan I want to see a mini documentary following two racers prepping for the event and working on their builds 555 should be super easy to do, especially in Thailand(super sarcasm font)

Of course, Thailand is free to modify all types of engines to be used in competitions, but must be under the field where the competition is performed and is legally permitted. hope you like it with love from Thailand

Very cool! Reminds me of a scaled down version of the swamp buggy racing that was popular in the 80's and early 90's. it's always amazing to see what people come up with in order to have a good time!

Its universal. Men all around the globe have an insatiable desire to race. Anything from snails to rice tractors and anything in between. I remember when racing lawn tractors was big here in the u.s. id like to see some top fuel rice tractor races. Wheres monster and red bull at.
What a great video! The camera mounted on the tractors give a good idea how crazy it is. The focus of the driver. All the dirt flying around. The noise... The high speed drone chase are also very exciting. Very very nice filming and mounting. Then there is all the craziness around. That scooter with a modified engine driven bare foot. That guy popping a wheelie on that electric scooter. All the people enjoying the race and what goes with it. You can smell the food if you know Thailand. Wish they have TH-camO'dorama for those who don't.
I'm coming back to Thailand in January, would be awesome to check out some events like this

@firstletterofthealphabet7308 you'd be surprised. The new DJIs can fly through a forest full of trees at like 30 mph without hitting a single branch. Their new tracking features allows them to track at an extremely high rate of speed, accurately.

A zillion years ago before cable tv was widely available, ABC Sports had the coolest show called "ABC's Wide World of Sports". Lots of Americans learned about up and coming sports, like bodybuilding, billiards, professional daredevils, winter sports, just whatever really.
Seeing this really gave that feeling. I lived in Korea for a year, I used to go to Korean Baseball League games. They were surreal for someone who grew up on American baseball. The fans are super polite, generally I'd only hear clapping. Not a lot of recreational shouting in Korea I think. They serve alcoholic beverages based on Soju (popular local liquor) in juice boxes, there's cheerleaders, the souvenirs were surprisingly affordable (I bought a LG Twins Jersey and Cap for like 30 bucks or something).
I'm sure there's unknown fun everywhere.

I need to build me a racing lawn mower ive literally always thought they were cool since being a kid learning that they were not for mowing yards... i just rewatched at the one minute to make sure i was lined up with my comm here, but i just noticed the Hong Thong 🥃🤣🤣🤣 thats fantastic.
