  • In this video, we put the spotlight on Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada and check out their accessible Studio room with a king bed. We also review their breakfast menu at their one and only Vice Versa restaurant.
Vdara first opened in the CityCenter complex in Las Vegas in December 2009. The smoke-free, non-gaming resort houses 1,495 suites, a two-floor spa, meeting spaces, a pool deck, a market cafe and a bar. But with so many other luxury hotels on the Las Vegas strip, is this spot right for you? Join me as we check it out!

Oh no! You had the cat pee room? What was up with that? But you're right, the toiletries were lovely! Almost made up for it 😜

It doesn't look to bad there really. When the shades came up you have a mountain view which I honestly don't mind being from somewhere that doesn't have mountains lol (yes the strip view is better). I also love dippy eggs lol but over a $100 bill I'll get dippy egg's somewhere else lol It's hard when you love a room not to book it again, same with my food reviews I want to go back and eat the same thing lol Thanks for the review!!

It's so hard! I like to try and mix things up for the sake of this channel which sometimes means compromising what I'd really like to do. Oh well, the life of a content creator! I'm starting to plan my next Vegas trip so we'll see where we end up. Thanks for watching!

Wow, that's a bit of a customer service issue with them only wanting to bring up air spray and having you on hold for so long. I have to wonder if some of these customer service issues at MGM properties have anything to do with the partnership change to Mariot? I wish I'd had the chance to stay at MGM property while they were a Hyatt property. Service seems to be slipping.
They do indicate that there are "pet friendly" rooms, however, *if* I were travelling with a pet, I think I would hope for a cleaner space.
I'm also curious if the low tub (as opposed to the one you had previously) was because of the accessible room and would be back to the "regular" tub in just a plain studio or studio strip view?
I am curious now where you went next and what you thought of that place - maybe I will hold off on booking longer, though knowing choices of Ceasars properties, I guess its a matter of brand loyalty at this point. Both MGM and Ceasars seem to be offering about the same level (or lack thereof) of service, lol.
Finally, I can confirm that flight options in the summer (mid-May) are not much better there are only one or two direct flights to Vegas per day from the West Coast - and those are not guaranteed to be direct by the time you get there.
    Great review, as always!

You want to see customer service issues, wait until you see my upcoming Aria review (that's not the hotel moved to next by the way-that one was amazing!). I do think this being an accessible room certainly made for some of the changes such as the smaller tub. So you may have a standard tub and other standard features in your room. I still stand by the parlor studio being the better choice though!
Have you considered staying away from MGM it Caesars and giving a property like Mirage, Treasure Island or Fontainebleau a try?

@@Spot_WrightI had considered Fontainbleau, however the reviews are very mixed and it is very far away from things - plus pricey food so unfortunately a no for this time. TI is a bit too much of a party place for me and Mirage is undergoing construction (also not sure what the state of the volcanoe will be in May but there were talks of replacecment beginning in Summertime ahead of F1 and the olympics.

@@bjones3622 I wish MGM never took over the Cosmo because that was always one of my favourites. Have you tried Palazzo? It's been a while since I've stayed there but that's always been one of my favourites as well.

@@Spot_WrightPalazzo has unfortunately been %700+ CAD/night when I've been in Vegas so unfortunately have not had the chance to go. Some little voice in my head is begging me to hold off "just a little bit" longer on booking a room - maybe will listen to it this time and see what happens ...

@@bjones3622 We're looking for April and I'm not seeing the best comps or room rates so I'm wondering if we waited too long or if we should wait even longer. Vegas is funny like that. Either way, good luck with whatever you decide!

THEE AUDACITY OF THEM TO OFFER JUST AIR FRESHENER!!! The first thing that should've come out of their mouth is to come downstairs and get keys to your new room followed with unlimited apologies.

Right? "Here's some Febreze, off you go!" We definitely were shocked at that response. At least they didn't offer to bring up some Lysol and a mop so I could clean the room myself 😂
