Literally did 100% on Imola yeasterday. Took me about 10-12 laps to find the groove. But once I did it was one of my favorite races Ive done in a long while.
Imola has a such nice flow. It isn't stop/go type of track, neither is too technical, but it's definitely not easy. It hard to describe; I love this track too.
edit: And one DRS zone is actually a plus in my opinion.
Man what a race! I enjoy so much more when you race on PC, the competition is just a bit higher and we can really see you try everything you have to get the last to first thing done. Really good racing, that last lap almost got me to stand ahaha Nice job on both of you there, really good racing!

8:04 I don't know the track limits for Imola, but your left front was fully outside the white line. The line you probably saw under the tyre was the centre of the Italian flag on the curb. It does look like you weren't always penalised for the same line, though.

Why no one uses cockpit view ? It's more realistic because you see everything exactly how real pilots see it.But everyone uses only TV camera view,even in F1 Esports.Isn't it unfair ? Why no one wants to go realistic and use cockpit view ?
Because it gives U an advantage as U R able 2 C a lot more using TV pod instead of cockpit & technically doesn't affect your car think of it like a setup or Ur own wheel settings
My major complaint of the E-gamers and Streamers. Spend thousands on a cockpit and rig and then use over head camera. SMH.

Can controller players be competitive against wheel players? I've been playing F1 for years on gamepad and can beat 100% AI on pretty much every track. But I've always wondered if wheel players have a true advantage in pace and whatnot because of the smoothness of everything on wheel compared to gamepad.
Absolutely, both devices take time to master but they can lap very close to each other

I love imola. But hate to play with a controller, I can't seem to find a good consistency with it.
The only thing codemasters are consistant at is beeing shit,,with all the track limits and other stuff going around, the consoles beeing unequal and all that

I always loved imola on asseto corsa. Probably the most fun track to race on for any type of car.

I hate & love Imola. It is such a great track though
I'm at 1:53 and it said "Henry Moore has left the session". I hope it's not one of those "exploiter" types race. I really love Imola. At first, I thought they recreated it perfectly. But after some time spent on it, more obvious difference is Aqua Minerale. In real life, camber of the road when you "go in", is "tilted" so when IRL cars turn right out of corner, cars get "thrown"/"slided" a little - car rotates because of the camber/bump of the track there - so they point straight out. If you compare Normal cars and F1, both gets this effect IRL. So they simplified the mesh of the track. There are other minor differences, but this track is a joy to race on. Now let's get on with the video.
Hope one day you do some other races other than Imola and mexico lol. Seems like every time I see one of your vids, it's one of them tracks unless it's a new track.

The virtual pit line on the exit seems to be after the real line on track. I had the same issue on PC only at Imola.

JD, Did you dial in FFB on PC? I remember you saying you don't like it, but for me, this version is the first F1 game where I can actually feel what the car is doing. A little. Subtle improvement from v2018, but here I can catch slides based on feeling on the wheel and not just visual cues on the monitor.
Over time just got used to it and feels quite nice 👊

Great race and brill video again JD. Quick question I am racing at a allot lower level but find it hard to over take as every time you go for a clean pass 9 times out of ten the car being passed deliberately nudges you off the track or into the wall. Not talking about racing incidents on corners these happen but its the blatant ones on the straights. Any tips for dealing with these dirty drivers?
Join a league. People don't do that in league races (mostly). I have trust issues because of online racing, never know if the other car is gonna wreck me or not.
