This happened to me in F1 2012. Someone intentionally took me out at the start of the race but my pace was good enough to get back to 2nd place. I would have finished 1 second behind the leader but the guy parked it on the finished line to give me the win. He told me afterward that I deserved the win because of the way I drove. I was quite impressed.
The brilliant driving, the in-depth analysis, clever strategy, sportsmanship and intensity in the commentaries make this the absolute best content I have ever seen tbh. Much love
So, i was that turtledestroier and i seriously can't forgive this by myself and i made a big fault, Tom n 2004 your a real winner and jd you are a real sportman
Tom is a very lucky boy there. Should've taken the chequered flag behind the backmarker surely, if race mgt was a thing. I think TRL was more than generous.
Found this in my suggested, haven't seen anything of yours before and the MOMENT you parked it to give the win I hit the sub button. Great racing, commentary and sportsman ship. Respect++
This is why we love you JD, Most importantly, you have great humanity. And as always, Top notch Analysis, My driving and strats on other games have been becoming better because of your videos. Much love brother. Cheers 🥂
Love you watching you race JD, always such great commentary. I think what happens when you reset to track with the reverse is that the AI decides it will get you back on track so it puts the car in reverse and then will put it in first but you reset just as it was going backwards. Obviously still pretty stupid for it to not also reset you into first gear.
To be fair to the Internet Himself. You can't buy "better internet". You can buy faster internet, depending on the location and services. But if your ping is all over the place, you can have 1GBS up and down and you'll be experiencing these kinds of problems. Hardware Unboxed (they are from Australia) are in this bind. They got Elon Musk's StarLink, and they are saying "when it works it's amazing". For consistent service they need more satellites in orbit. The only thing you can buy as "better internet" is if your provider can offer you business access. What you get depends on the provider and your location. We have "business access" and that means we have access through fiber and coaxial cable. If fiber for whatever reason fails, it has fallback. And support is available 24/7, they will come at midnight if fiber fails.
10:54 No matter how you look at it - the guy himself rammed into you after going wide and trying to close the "gate" at the last moment, so I don't understand why you taking the blame here.
In the moment, it can be hard to tell whether you got too close to them, or they ran wide into you. I had a guy swear I hit him when my wheels were on the curb the entire time playing splitscreen Gran Turismo, and he's not only a decent gamer, but races real cars. The replay clearly showed me being fine, but your brain tends to impulsively assume the other guy was wrong. Not everyone is this way, but it's quite typical to treat something like racing like it's a fight. We know intellectually it's not, but our brains are wired to be competitive in very different environments, so "he hit me" tends to be treated like an aggression, especially when we're already in hunt mode on the track. Looking at the other guy's line, it looks like from his perspective, our car dived down the inside from behind when other guy had the racing line. He went in deep, turned hard to apex later and straighten out the exit to the corner, which doesn't appear to be a good line, but he doesn't know that it seems. So he might not have even paid attention to our car until there was contact. I don't think our guy is taking the blame, just recognizing how the other guy might interpret it, and reacting accordingly to avoid a road rage incident.
Interesting line you take through turn two. Seems like you take it as double apex as opposed to a traditional early apex like Parabolic at Monza. Do you find you have more grip or does it just fit your driving style better?
Hey limitless I've just got one question, I just got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and can't work so I have alot of extra time on my hands and I currently play f1 on controller, with this extra time on my hands i would like to swap to a wheel and get better...I know nothing about wheels so what would you recommend saving up for? Really enjoy the vids btw keep up the good work.
It wouldnt happen in esports either because these guys want to get as many points for their team as possible even if its at the cost of someone being unlucky
Would the "Teammate is in the Pits" come up using Multiplayer cars? That would help you/anyone as well. It hadn't come up before you had pitted, so that would have let you know that ERS Hamilton was your teammate.
Nicely done mate. Quick question you turn the wheel almost full lock at the end of the slow corners, I thought this would just scrub speed does this help you alot ?
Turning the wheel farther makes for a tighter turn. The tighter and faster you take a turn, the more force it requires. Force requires grip. If you try turning tightly at high speeds, it takes more force, and therefore grip, than the tire has. So you'll skid the tires, push out, scrub some speed, etc., ultimately losing time. But at low speeds, the car just turns more sharply. On that hairpin, he's going very slowly (for an F1 car) around a very tight corner, so he turns the wheel far enough to get around the corner and back on the throttle. Unlike street cars, race cars can't turn very sharply in something like a parking lot. There are reasons why the suspension and everything works better that way, and it's not needed because you're never driving slowly enough to need a 20-foot turn radius. So full lock on a race car is often like a half turn of the street car, with maybe a 60-foot turn radius. That very tight corner required almost full lock to get around it, while a Camry might have been able to turn around in the grass inside the corner (at far lower speeds).
Alright mate love your videos, literally always watch them in work haha, just wondering if you have any tips for controller player for f1, probably get meself a wheel after the new year but really wanna improve on controllers, be nice if you can share any tips, thank you
Time and patience, nothing specific as different things work for different people! Watching others and playing online as much as possible is what I recommend.
