The “you sometimes do better the next day” thing is actually very true. When I was studying physics I remember that every time I finished studying a new chapter 80% of the time I wasn’t able to do any exercises, even the easiest ones. I struggled hours on simple problems and then I just stopped, and came back the next day and everything became so easy and clear. I could do a lot of problems with little effort and everything came to me like it was a natural intuition. And this strategy worked a lot of times and made things easier for me, because I knew that the first hours of struggle were just a phase, and every time the next day it was better. So yeah I don’t know how, but sometimes stopping makes us better

Been playing f1 2021 for 5 months, got a wheel and pedals and got all assists off in the last month. First time I've ever been into a sim/racing game i dont even have a liscence. 1.15.9 my best on imola so far. Give me a year ;) Your videos are really helping
These videos are great! Watching your Portimao TT video really made me understand how important it is to keep going, even if you invalidate or make a mistake. Managed to do a 14.9 on a default setup, custom setup 14.4. Plenty time in it, but found doing lap after lap helped my consistency. Please do another video of this if you do come back to improve around Imola!

Great video JD loving these recently am not the best at making setups myself so watching you do these record attempts am learning new stuff each time i watch them because like you am at the bottom at the mo in wor in tier 11 on xbox and hoping to move up the ranks soon but wasnt sure on how to do the tt submissions you have to do so by doing this method of yours takes that putting the pieces together for the setup a bit more easier to do for the races as we know making setups is not an easy thing to master

It's funny it's almost the same I found works for me w8/10, d80/55, ~17,17,17. But I'm three seconds off TT times. I don't run TT because I bought this game to have fun with AI races. And I feel like TT cars are behaving very differently from Merc, McLaren cars from AI Races.
I also „struggle“ with putting the perfect lap together because i put top much pressure on me. I still drive fast times but i never really reach my potential in quali. In the race i am extremely consistent but it is just my quali that i am not content with.

I think a really useful video would be showing us what you do differently between a good lap (say laps 11 and 15) vs your best lap. Ie show if it’s better trail braking/throttle application/new brake ref or turn in etc. I do a mid 14 and it’s a bit of a struggle to understand where I can improve. I think a lot of players are in the same boat

I really don't know what happened this year with Monza as well. Too many curb and on turn 1 and turn 4,5. Taking it too much can literally put you up in air. Those were easier last year. More room for master I guess
I find the groove of this track to be so nice and awesome I enjoy it a lot. But it’s hit and miss for me I can do so great in a couple laps and then bam have a bad one. It’s tough to be consistent.
I'm only a casual controller player and although I only normally get within 3-4 seconds of the top lap times I can see how and where I'm losing the time. On this track though I'm currently around 1:17 but just can't seem to get the car to turn anywhere near as quick. With a bit more practise I think a 1:15 might be possible but 1:13 just seems ridiculous.
Imola is such a very hard track, yet so fun to drive, but nothing beats Portimão's oversteer show.
Yep especially in project cars 1 the track is impossible without leaving track limits to take the kerbs

My prayers have been answered I have an imola setup and it’s made by the 🐐
95% of the track is doable, it's just the Alta chicane that cocks it up for me

Can I run a more open diff and 50 bias with the new handling model now? Since the update I feel I’ve lost a bit of pace running a locked diff
I havent really noticed any difference in the diff but you can definitely run 50 bias pretty much everywhere
What do you think about the return of "fixed" 50% brake bias?
