@@LightningJosueWell considering The Rentals toured with Blur earlier that year, and the subsequent budding Matt-Damon friendship and collaborations, it's only natural.
In the earlier years he was very introverted. Not so much now. Probably because back then he was in his 20s and still a bit worked up about social life, now he's married and has kids and in his 40s. He doesn't have anything to really be shy about now.
Don Beck I know it’s a late comment but that’s why he wrote In The Garage, pretty sums up his personality. I have an 11 year old boy and he’s very Introvert. Never had any friends, he suffers from social anxiety and I’m a big weezer fan from the very beginning and I always tell him about Rivers that they’re the same shy people but awesome and smart
He's likely undiagnosed for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Historians are fairly certain that Mozart was on the Spectrum, so I think it's very likely RC is on it. Which is pretty cool.
There's another video out there where they say how awkward and rude Rivers was there... I don't see him being rude and even the awkwardness is on a moderate level for him. He answered all her questions and actually even answered the questions and did not speak about things that were not asked. Also he said something without prompting twice and it didn't take him 10 minutes to answer. This must be one of his best interviews until the 2000s.
I was in middle school watching this stuff. I feel lucky as it did resonate and it’s was great perspective. They don’t do interviews like this on tv anymore.... kids gotta dig through TH-cam!!
i think she was speaking about playing the actual El Scorcho music video ... not them performing ... the interview was over .. you can see the video start for a split second at the very end of the video here 7:02
Wow I replying to a comment made 8 years ago!! That'd be 2010! Oh well here goes. No dummy! You can see it when he starts talking. Esp.around the 2 min mark

I was one of those kids. It was filmed on a Friday afternoon so I remember skipping out of math class in Pickering to get to be there at Much Music (before seeing them in the Phoenix that night). I think all of the adults were just at work. :)

There's no one but kids in the audience. They're all under 16. What was it about Weezer's music that appealed to them?
