When I was working with the Government in 2017, I got assigned to work on women #safety app by Ministry of Home Affairs.
The app's role was to send an SOS trigger to your family and nearest police station.
It was a small 2 weeks project.
I felt privileged both as a professional and #woman both- to be picked by then MHA Secretary to give my inputs on the app.
However as part of the testing, unfortunately an SOS went to my father.
He called me immediately within seconds asking, "Bitiya aap thok hai?"
I felt a tight burden on my chest.
I had given my father his nightmare ---without informing him I was working on a project for fellow women citizens.
I told him about the test. He was eventually proud of me.
Unfortunately I could never find what happened to that project eventually because it was an additional task assigned to me by someone- who was not my direct boss.
Why am I penning this today ?
    ---
Because I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if the Kolkata #doctor had an app installed like this.
Apps like these play the same role that a goalkeeper plays in football.
They would be 99% useless during your match of life.
But in that 1%, it could be extremely handy.
You may want to procrastinate installing and testing them. But that would be grave grave mistake.
Upon a quick google search, I found 3 similar apps like this to protect you and your family/friends - 1. Himmat App (delhi)
    2. 112 India
    3. I’m Safe SOS App
    4. BSafe App
    ------
In true honesty, I have not tested them all myself as a user but I am sure we can do these H.W. for our safety if we can quickly order for 10 minutes delivery.
I usually don't write this but the kind of environment we live in, #share this (copy paste/click share whatever) with as many as possible.
    We women can build solutions.
    We can build a community.
And we can help fellow women.
With one woman at a time ✊!

Oh, what an interesting similarity with men:
-> After achieving equality before the law, there has been concern over legal cases involving false accusations in some instances, as seen in cases under Section 376 and 498 of the IPC.
-> Men also experience significant mental health challenges, with su*cide rates reported to be nearly three times higher than those of women, according to NCRB data.
-> Custody and alimony laws often seem to have a more substantial impact on men, as seen in various High Court and Supreme Court rulings.
-> Men are frequently judged by their financial standing in marriage, which can lead to a different form of objectification.
-> While many women stand against objectification, some content on platforms like Instagram can appear contradictory to those views. Same with men too.
-> In this case where 11 out of the 21 lawyers are women defending govt.
The key issue is not the gender of the individuals involved, but the mindset. Anyone with the wrong mentality, regardless of gender, can engage in harmful actions. The real task is to focus on changing perspectives rather than placing blame solely on one gender.
'THERE ARE NO DIFFERENT GENDER 🧠'

None of the laws can change a person. And all laws are for poor people.
Yes, there should be special law to protect child from own mother. If mother kills own child she should be jail for 25 years. What do you say?

    • @anonanon6225
      @anonanon6225 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@ARK2022 yes. Unforfortunately, in a corrupt country like India, unfortunately law enforcements are made only for poor. So sad. This too should change.
Regarding mother killing a child, I think, the scenarios and circumstances of the mother are usually taken into consideration by judge and may the max number of years as per is 25 as you say. I a pretty sure, the judge will consider various factors in such scenarios.

One time by fault of pilot of Air France two Irish died in plane crash . Govt went all the way to get justice. On tv you get ads educating pple of no smoking , one time a child died in car crash the whole govt was on toes and made laws even more difficult to get license and strict of someone commits road accident. One can walk at 12 or 1 in city centre in skimpy clothes and no one threats you.

Even my soul is shivering whenever I read anything related to these cases and what's most frightening thing is that even when the Bengal case is highlighted nowadays there are still many cases of gang-rape and rape emerging in the country, even in my own city!! Nothing will change until we dont introduce compulsory social and moral education including spirituality. It has to be compulsory in every school and in every medium. Also there should be basic educational criteria in politics too and having no criminal record should be mandatory. And we need to change this consumption mindset as well. I dont know when and how that will happen but atleast we can try being a better person and educate ourselves and our surroundings and family.

    • @penacle7
      @penacle7 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Agree , I think it should be make compulsory like written drivers test , have such centres in local panchayat and pple esp kids from 15 yrs have to go and watch video and address mcq ( it can be all visual so if someone is less educated it can be still sorted ). Then they get a card and that can be used fr jobs and other facilities . People with those card ( knowledge of being and rules of good citizens, basic civic sense and so on) should be encouraged to be hired.

    • @penacle7
      @penacle7 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Instead of consumption mindset we should think of minding ways to develop country like innovate , being respectful for fellow Indians, working toward unity and then being part of local ngo programs like planting forest , cleaning water reserves, water harvesting. We are importing solar panels from China ( Adani greens) why can’t it be made in India ? We need an alternative approach not taught or published in west coz our bureaucrats study in west where system is ideal we need innovation in our country even how we look at the problem

    • @ananyamajumder4235
      @ananyamajumder4235 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@@penacle7 I truly agree and appreciate what u said. But about consumption mind set I guess you didnt understand what I meant by it...see how will u think about environment or progress if u have consumption mind set as that will only make u self centered and u wont be bothered about environment or mankind but your own consumption, whether its about lust materialistic consumption or having animal products. In the west yes there are consumption too hence there are problems too but atleast they are trying to limit their consumption, there is tax for water consumption even but here people are all about consumption and violating resources. Here people care more about luxury over necessity. They are destroying lands to make more houses where most of the people are still homless and others have 5/6 properties. I am a businesswoman and comes from a privilege society but I am always pretty conscious about my consumption yes I have a car which is enough for me and both of my parents but I know people who holds 6/7 cars for one single family only because they can afford and they need to show off do they think about environment at all? Similarly fast fashion, consumerism, violation of resources for own consumption all these create a self centered selfish mindset. In todays world we are slowly loosing our values compassion empathy and its only because we care about own consumption and convenience thats all. And for that to change u need right kind of education and its not just about external knowledge but also internal.

The problem is people are focusing more on how to make the law stricter than to enforce it more. Even the new laws of sexual exploitation via betrayal. Where does it even work? Rather than increasing cameras and making police accountable they are only focusing on making strict laws. Even in kolkata rape case police should be arrested for their negligence but they will simply be suspended. It is becoming more about how to make life tough for common citizens than to catch criminals.

    Some very interesting historical facts
How many of you know that ...
Q: Partition of India was done how many times ?
Answer- SEVEN times in 61 years by the British rule.
Afghanistan was separated from India in 1876,
    Nepal in 1904,
    Bhutan in 1906,
    Tibet in 1907,
    Sri Lanka in 1935,
    Myanmar (Burma) in 1937
    and...
    Pakistan in 1947.
    India's Partition of *Akhanda Bharat.*
Unbroken India extended from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean and from Iran to Indonesia. India’s area in 1857 was 83 lakh square kilometers, which is currently 33 lakh square kilometers.
    Sri Lanka
The British separated Sri Lanka from India in 1935. The old name of Sri Lanka was *Sinhaldeep.* The name Sinhaldeep was later renamed Ceylon. Sri Lanka’s name was Tamraparni during the reign of Emperor Ashoka. Mahendra, son of Emperor Ashoka and daughter Sanghamitra went to Sri Lanka to propagate Buddhism. Sri Lanka is a part of united India.
    Afghanistan
The ancient name of Afghanistan was *Upganasthan* and Kandahar’s was *Gandhara.* Afghanistan was a Shaivite country. The Gandhara described in the Mahabharata is in Afghanistan from where the Kauravas’ mother was Gandhari and maternal uncle Shakuni. The description of Kandahar i.e. Gandhara is found till the reign of Shah Jahan. It was a part of India. In 1876 Gandamak treaty was signed between Russia and Britain. After the treaty, Afghanistan was accepted as a separate country.
    Myanmar (Burma)
The ancient name of Myanmar (Burma) was *Brahmadesh.* In 1937, the recognition of a separate country to Myanmar i.e. Burma was given by the British. In ancient times, the Hindu king Anandavrata ruled here.
    Nepal
Nepal was known as *Deodhar* in ancient times. Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini and mother Sita was born in Janakpur which is in Nepal today. Nepal was made a separate country in 1904 by the British. Nepal was called the *Hindu nation of Nepal. Nepal was called as Hindu Rashtra Nepal.* Until a few years ago, the king of Nepal was called
*Nepal Naresh.* Nepal has 81.3 percent Hindus and 9% Buddhists. Nepal was an integral part of India during the reigns of Emperor Ashoka and Samudragupta. In 1951, Maharaja Tribhuvan Singh of Nepal appealed to the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru to merge Nepal with India, but Jawaharlal Nehru rejected the proposal.
    Thailand
Thailand was known as *Syam* until 1939. The major cities were Ayodhya, Shri Vijay etc. The construction of Buddhist temples in Syam began in the third century. Even today many Shiva temples are there in this country. The capital of Thailand Bangkok also has hundreds of Hindu temples.
    Cambodia
Cambodia is derived from the Sanskrit name *Kamboj,* was part of unbroken India. The Kaundinya dynasty of Indian origin ruled here from the first century itself. People here used to worship Shiva, Vishnu and Buddha. The national language was Sanskrit. Even today in Cambodia, the names of Indian months such as Chet, Visakh, Asadha are used. The world famous Ankorwat temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, which was built by the Hindu king Suryadev Varman. The walls of the temple have paintings related to the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The ancient name of Ankorwat is Yashodharpur.
    Vietnam
The ancient name of Vietnam is *Champadesh* and its principal cities were Indrapur, Amravati and Vijay. Many Shiva, Lakshmi, Parvati and Saraswati temples will still be found here. Shivling was also worshiped here. The people were called Cham who were originally Shaivites.
    Malaysia
The ancient name of Malaysia was *Malay Desh* which is a Sanskrit word which means the land of mountains. Malaysia is also described in Ramayana and Raghuvansham. Shaivism was practiced in Malay. Goddess Durga and Lord Ganesha were worshipped. The main script here was Brahmi and Sanskrit was the main language.
    Indonesia
The ancient name of Indonesia is *Dipantar Bharat* which is also mentioned in the Puranas. Deepantar Bharat means the ocean across India. It was the kingdom of Hindu kings. The largest Shiva temple was in the island of Java. The temples were mainly carved with Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. The Bhuvanakosh is the oldest book containing 525 verses of Sanskrit.
The names or motos of the leading institutions of Indonesia are still in Sanskrit:
Indonesian Police Academy - *Dharma Bijaksana Kshatriya.*
Indonesia National Armed Forces - *Tri Dharma Ek Karma.*
    Indonesia Airlines - *Garuda Airlines.*
Indonesia Ministry of Home Affairs - *Charak Bhuvan.*
Indonesia Ministry of Finance - *Nagar Dhan Raksha.*
Indonesia Supreme Court - *Dharma Yukti.*
    Tibet
The ancient name of Tibet was *Trivishtam* which was divided into two parts. One part was given to China and the other to Lama after an agreement between the Chinese and the British in 1907. In 1954, India’s Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru accepted Tibet as part of China to show his solidarity to Chinese people.
    Bhutan
Bhutan was separated from India by the British in 1906 and recognized as a separate country. Bhutan is derived from the Sanskrit word *Bhu Utthan* which means high ground.
    Pakistan
There was partition of India on August 14, 1947 by the British and Pakistan came into existence as East Pakistan and West Pakistan. Mohammad Ali Jinnah had been demanding a separate country on the basis of religion since 1940 which later became Pakistan. In 1971 with the cooperation of India, Pakistan was divided again and Bangladesh came into existence. Pakistan and Bangladesh are parts of India.

    Thanks for creating awareness.
Women are the power to any nation.
During WW2 , women proved that they can not only handle family but also do all work that men can do. We men are born with intelligence inherited from women , our mothers. Hence respecting women should be natural and nothing should hurt stupid egos.
Less the knowledge, more the Ego.
    - Albert Einstein.
Oppressing women is big blocker for India's progress.
