Thanks for the video! I am just trying to grow my YT channel as a non-profit for Hungarian audience - problem is that only Hungarians speak Hungarian 😂but will give it a go anyway! Did you not check which days you were running each prom - or you think there is no difference? Thanks again and have a nice day! 👍☺
You are welcome! Yeah this is a good way to grow for a specific audience, I think. However my results have been less than stellar. Sure I got several subs, but they don't seem to be watching my videos, which defeats the purpose. But give it a shot and see if it works for you. It runs everyday until the budget runs out.
Great results! But, only for when you are already monetised. “Subscribers and watch-time earned through a promotion do not contribute towards TH-cam Partner Program eligibility.”
Thanks! And that is incorrect at least according to my analytics for that travel channel. It still isn't monetized yet because of watch time, but all those subscribers indeed counted.
@@MattTaylorVariety oh ok! That’s brilliant. I haven’t done it before because everything else I’ve seen says they don’t count. ( the quote was from TH-cam) thank you
@@SteveEast Yeah maybe it has changed? So in the monetization section of TH-cam studio is shows your monetization progress, and it definitely shows I have enough. I did a search and this is what I found "According to some sources, subscribers and watch time earned through TH-cam promotions do not count towards monetization requirements. However, other sources say that TH-cam promotions can bypass this and count subscribers towards the monetization program." But I could be wrong too haha. I am pretty positive I didn't have many organic subs before running those promotions (I think around a couple of hundred or something) But then again I have been running those promotions for the past 3 weeks so I definitely could have gotten more organic subs. Either way I am happy with the results, but if those new subs don't watch my videos it really doesn't help much lol
Thanks for the video, good results, according to this video - th-cam.com/video/zbVejKnOxlQ/w-d-xo.html - @SteveEast is correct that subs and watch time from promotions do NOT contribute to YPP subs and watchtime ...
That depends on you. You can keep promoting, or not. I recommend waiting, and post more videos and see if you are getting more views from those new subs.
I ran another promotion again for 7 days and for $100. Same demographics as the one that got the most subs. The results were 318k impressions, 45k promotion views, but only 13 subs for that. So audience growth is definitely the right choice if you are trying to get subscribers. My guess is the video gets sent to people who are more likely to subscribe.
Thanks for being honest, and explaining things in an understandable way. I appreciate that.
You are very welcome!
Best video ever! Thank you for the transparency
Thanks!! And you are welcome!

Iam struggling to get my channel in front the right people, I did it couple times and I am feeling my channel died 😢, any recommendations please?
There are lots of TH-cam videos you can find on that topic. Do a search for "How to grow on TH-cam" and you will find lots of helpful videos.
I did this when I had 200 subscribers now I have 1k and stop the promotion what should I do?

Try views, besides audience growth, to see what the difference is in subs rate, it's just an idea. k
Yes that is a good idea, just to see, if it nets more or less in subs.
@@MattTaylorVariety & if ya could post another video on it.k
