  • If you have been struggling to maintain your balance on the court that eventually leads to slower speeds, then you're at the right place. In this video, Al Liao emphasizes the techniques that can provide more stability and maintain balance without any strenuous exercises. Badminton doubles techniques are essentially dependent on your speed and balance, without which all of your training falls short. You can get a quick fix to improve your balance immediately under the guidance of AL Liao. Balance helps you channelize the strength that you have gained from extensive training. A balanced body enables you to move faster whether you're going for a lunge or landing on the ground after a jump. Remember to keep your centre of gravity on the down low to maintain optimal stability. This means keeping your kneed bent and both arms above the hip. With these tips, you'll be the next P.V Sindhu world badminton champion.

    Also, I think its harder for tall players to keep their centre of gravity low.
    Shorter players therefore have better balance and faster.
    So train those thighs people. My friend says that, "You play badminton with your feet, not ur hands."
    Lol

      @ALLiaoBadmintonCoaching  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. Feet is most important. Because if can't get right position then could not be able to hit the good quality of shot

    But this carry forward movement to the net.. doesn't help you retract quickly back to the centre line, which is actually what should be the objective.. right ?

    • @alinthomas
      @alinthomas 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He said to land 'on heels' first instead of 'on toes'. When you land on your toes, the momentum is forward, whereas when you land on your heels you don't carry any momentum forward. So, landing on heels helps recover faster.

    • @reubenstephen1721
      @reubenstephen1721 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alinthomas in theory that is true.. but his momentum is still carrying his body.towards the net whereas a hand brake effect to shift weight to the other side to best controll the body .. maybe for example, en extended non racquet arm can counter balance that momentum, for instance.

      Stephen, your question is really good. And yes in this video what I mentioned is how not to lose the balance on the court. And instead of move back quickly. And I think I can make a video to explain how to move quickly after that. Good question.
