Welcome to our video on the best things to do in Doha, Qatar.
Our first stop is the Museum of Islamic Art, a stunning building designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei. Inside, you'll find a breathtaking collection of Islamic art from around the world, including ceramics, textiles, and rare manuscripts. The museum also offers guided tours and workshops, making it a great experience for all ages.
Next, we’ll visit Souq Waqif, one of the oldest markets in the region. Here, you can immerse yourself in traditional Qatari culture by exploring the maze-like alleys, haggling with vendors for handmade textiles, spices, and other souvenirs. The souq is also home to several traditional restaurants and cafes, where you can try authentic Qatari cuisine.
For those interested in modern architecture, we recommend visiting the iconic The Pearl-Qatar. This artificial island is a master-planned community that features luxurious apartments, retail outlets, and entertainment options. The Pearl-Qatar also offers a stunning marina and a variety of waterfront restaurants, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
One of the most unique attractions in Doha is the desert safari, which takes you on an exciting off-road adventure through the sand dunes surrounding the city. You can also experience a camel ride or try sandboarding, making it a great activity for adventure seekers.
To learn more about Qatar's history and culture, visit the National Museum of Qatar. The museum is housed in a striking building inspired by the desert rose, and features interactive exhibits that explore Qatar's past, present, and future. From Bedouin culture to Qatar's modern-day development, the National Museum of Qatar has something for everyone.
Finally, don't miss a visit to the Katara Cultural Village. This sprawling complex is dedicated to showcasing Qatar's cultural heritage, with museums, theaters, and art galleries highlighting Qatari and Middle Eastern culture. Katara is also home to the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, making it a great destination for music lovers.

The best thing to do in Doha is fund bribes for @FIFA officials so you can have a sports tournament in a blistering desert with an amoral government.
"The moral and legal compromises FIFA and the Qatari government made to hold the 2022 World Cup in the Doha metropolitan area range from tolerating the host country’s ban on homosexuality to deadly abuses of migrant laborers at stadium construction sites. According to documents submitted to the record of a lawsuit in federal court late this afternoon, the road to the first Middle Eastern World Cup also began with a series of straightforward bribes.
Qatar National Bank (QNB) documents, included in a filing made by a Philadelphia-based policy organization fighting a subpoena from a former Qatari-hired American lobbyist, reveal the secret cost of Qatar’s bid to put on the biggest sporting event on Earth. The documents record over 210 million pounds in payments, then worth over $330 million, to members of the FIFA committee who voted on which country would host the 2018 and 2022 tournaments in late 2010. They list specific names, bank account numbers, and amounts of money received."
