I just want to say that every Red Velvet is doing backvocals. The adlibs are mostly by Wendy and seulgi. And the high scream/whistle is by Irene

Wendy and Seulgi are doing the ad libs. Seulgi is the one doing the ah ah ah ah while Wendy is doing the ay yeah ay yeah ay yeah. Irene is actually the person who does the scream like note.
I swear RV has lots of good songs you'll get surprised everytime. Their japanese song Sappy is really good too if you prefer this type of vocals
the adlibs is more like seulgi doing that like the belts and for the scream the one doing it is irene. Like for real this is one of the hardest songs from red velvet
Might I say the b-sides in this mini-album are god-tier and are literally all in my top 20 rv songs.
Most of the adlibs are done by Seulgi and Wendy. However if you listen closely, all 5 girls are harmonizing throughout the whole song, and Yeri and Irene are whispering in the background for 75% of the song. Oddly enough this is a song that the general public didn't like, it's also one of their most harder to sing songs because it's heavily vocal focused. IF you notice there is barely any melody or instrumentation. Their vocals are meant to provide most of the melody. The music video is also another tribute to Michael Jackson. It was released on November 30th, the same day Thriller was released which is why it has that campy horror vibe.
You didn't lie when you said Red Velvet is hard to distinguish at first lmao the first time I tried to stan Red Velvet (I was a new kpop fan back then) I remember I kept mixing up Irene, Seulgi and Wendy's faces.

they never do anything again every concept whether it be red, velvet or a mix of both, it never similar to anything they have done before, thats why their discography is so insane
