We were in a Seriously Suite in April and I brought some 45 RPM records from my childhood to play. I can assure you that the record player does indeed play them! It took me about 10 minutes of Googling the model number of the record player to find out how (it's obviously not very intuitive!). I showed our Rockstar agent (who had also told us that they couldn't be played) and his jaw dropped! 1. Lift the metal platter on which the record sits. 2. Underneath, you'll find the plastic disc to fit the larger opening of a 45 RPM record 3. In the upper left-hand corner is a spindle that moves the platter, which is connected by a black rubber band. This spindle has two different size diameters. Moving the rubber band between them will change the RPMs from 33 to 45.

I traveled in the Sea Terrace XL and totally loved it. The bathroom is larger than the regular Sea Terrace bathroom. The hammock was so nice for relaxing. I feel terribly slighted, though: I had no cute octopus or Below Deck in my cabin! Thanks for the feedback out the Seriously Suite - when I travel with VV again I will look into staying in one of those.
Thanks for the brilliant cabin tours 😀 there's quite a big gear shift from the balcony to the seriously suite! Our favourite is royally the seriously suite too - it definitely looks like it had the best layout and decor combo 😊

Some people will watch this and believe you about the below deck box content 😂 I have watched a few of the Virgin ship reviews and although the consensus seems to be that the food is top drawer, it looks to me like some of the ship was designed by someone who was far too overpaid and to whom nobody could say no! Agree with all of this after having been on the first Costa Maya cruise last week. We were in the Suite Aft Sweet. I much preferred our friends Serious Sweet Suite to ours... although the wake was pretty nice! Cheers!

Your video is hilarious 😂 l was looking at this cruise line for our annual best friends trip this Fall. It would be nice 👍🏾 to try a 21 year and older adult cruise and this new concept ( no cruise director , no large party type pool, less passengers ). However the closeness of the beds on several of the videos l viewed probably won’t work for us. I don’t want to sleep head to head with even my besties. Thanks for sharing 🤩🤣.

I wonder if the John Lewis stores are different in your neck of the woods.... Or maybe there was another stash in the room you've not mentioned! lol I did thing the bed mattress was good, but that's pretty much the only positive. The "mood lighting" was meh! What a pointless gimmick! Room was small and storage simply not enough if your cruise is more than 4 nights! The bathroom was cheaper than IKEA. The shower was fine, but the cubicle itself like something you'd find in a very cheap motel..... And the room itself tiny. I suppose I'd go on a Virgin ship again if it was free, but it's not something I intend paying again for.
I can't see Virgin cruises lasting more than five years TBH. It's all nice extras but the tech will be outdated every year and gimmicky niche. So unless they stop acting like rebels then the novelty will run itself dry quickly.

But at some point, something snaps, and I am back to "_too cool at the expense of practicality._" VV had a blank slate and a big budget but instead of design innovations moving cruising forward, we get different for the sake of different. So I am always left with not so much a strong dislike but rather melancholy sadness at a squandered opportunity.
