I resist listening to this song. It just makes me sob every single time, I don't know what it is.
Angelina released this song in the midst of the pandemic and dedicated it to anyone who had lost a loved one. I have heard others say that hearing her work through her grief so beautifully in her music helped them to heal from their own losses.
She helped a lot of people this song a lot of people to connect. I talk to one fell in Norway, and he lost his father. You can get over to the hardest song that you were never alone they’re always with us. I don’t know Embac love never dies she helped him and many many many others, and lost their love ones to get over the circumstances around.

I had heard that she lost her grandfather and that she was very close to him. My wife passed around that same time so I connected the song with the piano right away. When the lady behind her, with the cello, stared to play; it opened the floodgates. She did a great job both writing and singing this song. Thanks for the great analysis.

No doubt in my mind, "Million Miles' will become a huge hit once it is promoted. This song changed my life since it allowed me to properly grieve the loss of loved ones and I know it has helped thousands of others and will help billions of people in the future.
Angelina Jordan is an ORACLE
Oracles have existed in human form in every culture around the world. Many are still noted in our time, such as the Oracles at Delphi in Greece, the Chief Oracle of Tibet, and the Oracles of ancient Egypt, but there are countless examples. They are the remnants in our minds of a time in which we all remembered. How else can we explain the hypnotic effect this creature has on all who dare experience her?
This was just what I needed this morning, Jen! As someone who's tried his hand at songwriting, like Angelina my instinct is to fill the space. She's a young songwriter and I'm sure that some more songwriting experience will see her introduce more space in her writing. This performance is fantastic, and your breakdown of what's going on is always welcome. Also, her recent cover of Suspicious Minds is next-level. I'm gonna put in a plug for your own covers, Jen; they're really interesting and enjoyable. Everyone should check them out.

I’m sure she filled in the spaces exactly how she wanted! With over 200 covers she’s rearranged, I’m sure people like Quincey Jones wouldn’t invited her to sing at his birthday bash to sing her version of Quincey’s arrangement he did for Frank Sinatra!
@@gregjohnson9681 Angelina's arranging instincts are great when it comes to covers, and she's also a good songwriter. I wasn't questioning that. I just know that it takes some time and experience writing originals to feel confident enough to leave space in both music and lyrics. She's already at a high level; I can't imagine what we'll hear from her in the coming years!

I lost my grandparents in 2018 and it is still affecting me to this day. I adored them both so I feel it. I know how she feels but I am not the fabulous Angelina. She is so fabulous.

great detail and analysis again, would love to hear your reaction to Angelina's cover of Suspicious minds by Elvis. It feels like this is her first cover which will define her style, it's less jazzy, but warmer and more soulful.

I know this is a contributor grandfather passed away in 2018 to try to do it six days after he was passed away but she couldn’t do it. She broke down and cried like a baby and I want to hug her. She only 12 years old in but now she’s able to do it million miles a tribute to rent father. That’s a tribute to her grandfather, who passed away very personal, and the song is really well written by her first time she tried to say it song for her grandfather, she couldn’t get there. Her diction is so good. In her covers, I often finally really hear the words of the song she's covering and get real meaning from the song, I always cry with her in this song.
There’s another animated lyric version you should watch also. She and her grandmother painted the animation. Something about this one brings out even more emotions.

I enjoy your reactions very much. I understand, because you tell us directly, that you pause frequently to comment on various aspects of Angelina’s voice and delivery. I believe, though, that not hearing songs like this straight through eliminates an artistic element that Angelina consciously displays in her performances. There’s a dynamic flow in her delivery that weaves its way through most of her songs. We definitely can ride that flow of emotion in this very personal performance. Her latest release, Suspicious Minds, is completely different, but there is a beautiful symmetry to the music and the sequence of lyrics she has chosen to include. That would be missed with frequent pauses.
Many reactors note that Angelina is a vocal artist, and part of that is the way she paints the story she is telling with vocal dynamics and the flow between sections of her songs. As I said, I’m a fan of your reactions, but I think anyone who doesn’t hear the song as a whole misses a very important component of Angelina’s artistry. Your comments on individual elements of the song are spot on. But also, the old saying applies: the whole is more than the sum of its parts.
I appreciate this point, though I'll say that if the alternative is we can't have reactions to some songs because the label blocks it thanks to less pausing, that's.... something to consider.

I think when you hear Suspicious Minds you will see the next step. Just the opening phrase took my breath away and I could feel the tear ducts start to open. I "heard" the song in a completely different way then I had before. I look forward to your reaction. This song may not ever make your channel but please check out the School of Rock All Stars " Midnight Train to Georgia". As you have pointed out in many reactions how a singer's body movements help them achieve maximum results in their performance. I loved how her arm movements alone assisted her in keeping tempo and deliver real intensity where it was needed. Thus, I recommend you burn the midnight oil to react to her Elvis Presley cover, released just this last week. At 16, her voice is simply amazing. She performs a ballad of Elvis's "Suspicious Minds" (1968), and she simply takes one's breath away. Every word imprints itself onto the listener. There's such an exponential growth in her vocal abilities that it's become the favorite of nearly everyone watching it. Angelina is accompanied by Rob Christie, 2x Grammy winner and Studio Director for Republic Records. This is an amazing vote of confidence that Rob has for Angelina. We've got reactors popping up around the globe, but only a very small number of vocal coaches. We would greatly appreciate your time and effort to react to Angelina, as she is today.

I think when you are talking about her "vertical" quality I hear her driving her sound up into her sinuses. She's not necessarily being "nasally" but she's driving the sound into her head resonance and letting that come through. It's crazy when you think about it cause she's using her sinus cavity to create a sharp resonant tone. Amazing.
This beautiful and catchy song is not a version, but an original she made to her grandfather after he died in 2008..
She said in a interview it hard to keep her emotions under control while recording this ,so it mint a lot to her .. really enjoyed your reaction, as alway
You might want to look at her version Always on My Mind, also about the same topic (spoiler: she cries). Her cover of Happier-- another great cover of another great song--appears to be about that loss too, though it doesn't quite make sense in the logic of song.

This is a great song, but every time I listen to it, I feel like the last belt should be a few beats longer the way she performs it in concert. I don't know why it bothers me but it makes me feel like something is missing.
