Looks nice. But will the grass survive....? I suppose they will have to replant the grass after the festival.

do lots of temples and restaurants in chiang mai shut down on friday/saturday/sunday during the flower festival or is everything usually still open?

They open every day. When holidays, they open longer time than normal.

@@Thailandtravelvideo is that for all temples in chiang mai or just the ones around old town? I was checking some of the websites and some of them like Wat Phra That Doi Suthep say “closed on holiday” but i have no idea if the flower festival would count as a holiday or not.
As far as you know, would most restaurants and museums still be open as well during the flower festival?

@@user-md3wm7vu1f 100% Wat Phra That Doi Suthep opens every day, even at any festival, the temple is the biggest temple and most beautiful temple in Chiang Mai. I have visited this temple many times.

@@user-md3wm7vu1f In festivals, most restaurants will open longer time than normal until midnight, and will have more night markets providing lots of street foods.

The Thailand government encourages more festivals and activities to be held to welcome more foreigners to Thailand. During festivals, local people have a chance to sell their food or share their traditional culture with more travellers.

Is Chang Mai smokey right now? I was planning on going there from February 10-February to February 24.

To be honest, there is smog, yesterday (Feb 4th) it was very smoky. But I have been living in Chiang Mai. I don't think smog is important. When I was shooting the video, the sky didn't have a nice blue color, other than that, I personally don't think the smog has any effect on my health.

@@Thailandtravelvideo do you think it'll be much worse by then? Would you recommend still coming there for 2 weeks?

I personally think there is no problem, and I especially recommend you to visit Chiang Mai. In addition to the urban area of Chiang Mai, the air in the mountains of Chiang Mai should be very good. There are many interesting activities such as watching elephants, ziplines in the jungle, hiking on Mount Doi Inthanon, and visiting Suthep Temple.
