- Let's check out the 2022 Chiang Mai Flower Festival. Every year Chiang Mai closes its most famous park for 2 weeks to prepare it for the Chiang Mai Flower Festival. I've have never been the the Chiang Mai Thailand Flower Festival - so let's go check it out

per wiki: Sunflowers are a relatively new crop to Thailand. Native to North America, Thais began planting sunflowers commercially in 1988 on just 12 square kilometers. There are now over 800 square kilometers across the country that yield over 60 thousand tons of sunflower oil each year.

Yes, they grow sunflowers here… Lopburi has the largest sunflower fields on Earth. If you’re sticking around for a while, the fields are in bloom December.

What a beautiful tour! I love the flowers- and that sitting area to watch the kiddos looks awesome! I wish the playgrounds we had around here when the kids were young had some of those!

I don't know why there are so few views. I loved it! So beautiful. The sunflowers and tulips were my favorite. That backdrop at the tulips is probably because Holland is tulip central of the world. You know, as you were leaving, it appeared that there was a long row of bonsai display off to your left. Thanks for showing that awesome beauty!

I would never get my wife out of there in an hour lol reminds me of the Keukenhof in the Netherlands the tulip festival Its not as big or nice as it but still very pretty there

You missed the competition tents ,on the other side of the floats . Some incredible plants in there .surprised you didn’t focus on the floats. Where do you find floats all made up of flowers? Also sunflowers are grown in Thailand, as are strawberries
I found the floats at the front of the park.
Dogs know how to use the crosswalk. 😁

I think they brought all flowers from Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, Doi Pha Mon Highland Agricultural Extension, etc. those places can plant winter flowers.

do lots of temples and restaurants in chiang mai shut down on friday/saturday/sunday during the flower festival or are they still open?
Some were open and some were shut but this was during Covid, so it could be much different now.

Yeah, there was a Thai song playing in the background that is copyrighted so TH-cam silenced that part. 3 years..first time it's happened. So not too shabby.
