Karen tribe is one of Myanmar 8 main ethnic groups.
They had to flee to Thai border and for past 60 years they settled in Thailand and now he introduced and marketed himself and themselves as one of Thai ethnic groups and made living from Tourism as Myanmar has doomed.
In Myanmar, Coffee is grown in Shan State not much in Karen State.
And Karen are not known for coffee growing. They are known for Ta la bot cuisine and such.

Many of them just opened the class, not knowing well about how to make authentic Thai foods, just know how to speak English then opened cooking class business which was kind of scam to me.

I've just finished my second hotel night in city center of Thailand (November 2021); I have zero idea what all the hype is about Chiang Mai. There's nothing interesting here (unless you are into looking at Wat / Temples). The Night Bazaar is closed due to Covid. Sure, there are street food vendors, but they are everywhere in Thailand. Sure, there are restaurants, but again, same as everywhere. I walked for 6 hours around the old city... nothing to report. I really don't get it. Oh, and the city has banned the lifting of lanterns for this festival in November.

I say as my brother in law.(Thai) .Thai people smile because they not understand. They not want to lose face. And that is why they smile. After living in there a while you see these smiles in a different way. And they belive everybody should learn thai. Why the hell we need that. They should learn english as the rest of the world.Thai has different letters. And to learn thai cost alot of money. And you can only use thai in 1 place. They are like french, finnish people that belive their language should be spoken by the rest of the world.
