New subscriber from Bartlett, TN. (Memphis area). Love your videos and I love going to Yard Sales!!! You just never know what you will find! Lots of luck!
I've had that happen to me at yard sales before... some lines include "Oh, that was an old sticker" and "Someone must have taken that sticker off something else and put it on here" or "That's the wrong price sticker". I've found going to yard sales requires a lot of patience!
Two years ago, on a visit to our local Swap Meet I noticed a "the office DVD game". I asked the lady how much she wanted for it & she said $5.00. I looked it up on Amazon, then proceeded to give her the $5.00. She quickly pulled the game back & said, "I see that you looked it up and noticed it was valuable so I now want $15.00." I told her that I looked it up to see if it was worth paying $5.00 for, but if she wanted to beef up the price, I would walk. She said, "fine, I'll take the $5.00." I bought it from her - only because it was going for a real high price on Amazon at the time, otherwise I would have told her to forget it. Some people can be a total trip, to say the least! Nice t shirt - our oldest son drove me by Dave Grohl's house a few months ago when passing time while our youngest son was taking stick shift driving lessons. The Beanie Baby Boulevard sign is perfect for Lonnie's shed - do send it to him! :)
That's why I never look stuff up in front of people. Nobody likes thinking they are being taken advantage of. (Of course in reality, they are not being taken advantage of, but suddenly decide they are.)
i once asked to pay $3 instead of $5 and handed them a 5 expecting change they said we arent going to sell it to you.... oh ok i guess you never heard of bartering
I live in Massachusetts and for some reason yard sales have pretty much dried up around here. If I can find 4 or 5 in a 10 mile radius I would be lucky. Also it's 98% just on Saturday. Sundays 1.5 % and rarely a Friday. The first video of your I watched you did great lots of sales and you said not bad for a Thursday! I was shocked
I think it is amazing what you do. When I go to garage sales I just see other peoples junk. Its not for me but I enjoy watching your finds...which I'm guessing take alot of sorting through junk...
Great pick ups man. I spent 45 minutes at the same sale with all the motorcycle stuff lol. I ended up spending 120 there, it's in my latest vid . Good job getting his info, I always forget to ask for stuff like that ha
Definitely an awesome gameboy score! The SP systems have very high demand and sell well. On the back, the model number of yours is most likely AGS-001, which you can get 60-70 for.. but if you find one that is AGS-101, those have brighter screens and can fetch 90+ in working condition with charger. So you should have 80-100 bucks with the gameboy stuff! Keep up the great content, love the channel. Also, don't be afraid to price SP systems higher than you think you might be able to get, the demand is through the roof on them!
Coffee Pot is the Black Bee pattern carafe. Probably $20-30 piece on a good day. The smaller clear Flameware percolators are what you want to be looking for. Or the Corning ware percolator/tea pot sets.
Hi JOHN, YOU WILL MEET A LOTOF WEIRD PEOPLE YOU WILL HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT BY THE TIME YOU GET OLD, BUT THAT’s what it takes to make a world. Love the video. I don’t make any comments but let you know I watch.👍👍👍💙❤️💚🤗
I woke up at 6:45 and got first picks at a garage sale and spent 50$ there. I bought a bunch of PS2 stuff like guitar hero and dance revolution mat. I also found a Gameboy advanced SP with like 5 games. Early bird gets the worm! (By the way I’m reselling)
Catching up with some of your videos as I recently found you and we run in paralleled trades. Good stuff. A simple suggestion to look into the corrosion of kueigg coffee makers
okay - I've had that happen... one of my kids way under-priced a jacket, and lady grabs that jacket and another and further wants a reduction on the both. I am like, "no, you just got a killer deal on that jacket, I am not wheeling with the other one."
I sell a lot of vintage linens on etsy. A few weeks ago I was digging in a box and found two sets of new old stock pillow cases, and several Bambi flat sheets. I asked how much they were and the girl having the sale said "these are new". She told me she wanted 15.00 per set of pillow cases. I was so shocked I said 15??? I walked over, put them back in the box. From inside her garage I saw her run to the box, grab the linens, and run into the back of the house. So weird.
Nova Scotia Canada. Love your channel. If you were my neighbour, you would be my best friend. I can never sleep on Fridays knowing that Saturday I will be yard saling. Now, my companion is my German Shepherd. Unfortunately she is not great at determining resale value, but she tries. LOL
Where do you look up garage sales from? Sometimes I would see 1 or 2 in the newspaper, I see some on Facebook. But I usually just look for signs. Not really sure the best place to look them up at???
I love buying beanie babies for my kid, she just rips the tags off and starts playing with them. They are making a lot of grandmas look foolish for buying into the craze 25 yrs ago.
Some garage sales have good things but... most of it is 2000-1900 stuff that is rendered junk Like old landlines... but I reccomend you go back to those garage sales after sometimes they throw away some of their stuff and I have noticed you can pick quite. A bit of good stuff. Also DONT BUY clothing or beds or dressers or couches or inside furniture to risky might have bugs inside cost you a fortune to get rid of
OMG that happened to me with a piece of jewellery at a sale marked $10 (it was 18k gold) I paid then she took it from my husbands hand to put it in a bag and said oh no sorry I dont want to sell that :/ I spent 20 mins digging it out of a pile of crap! Damn it!
I had a weird experience at a garage sale...I was in competition with the lady HAVING the sale. LOL! I was the only one there, so I figured I had time to think if I wanted to purchase the item or not. NOPE! I sat it back down on the table to "think about it" and she snatched it up and said she was going to keep it for her son. I just kind of walked away thinking, "OKAAAAY?"
I had the same thing happen at a thrift store guy working goes i dont know who put these prices on here and just started ringing up randon prices i was like no if u dont want to honor the prices ill put it back so i put it back never going back in that thrift store
Just recently subscribed and I know this is a little late but there was a red and orange tmnt motorcycle in that garage that is actually pretty rare. It's from the Next Mutation series. Just an fyi.
Mary Kay, here's some useless FYI about Mary Kay. Mary Kay Ash family business was Frye Boots a company from Marlborough Massachusetts that made work and cowboy boots. Mary got her start in the family business. Her idea for skin care products came from how the leather conditioner they used made workers hand so soft. Not something they want to tell your customers
Rubylane.com for old Pyrex. Some old white oven pots with clear glass lids could sell for seventy+. You can pick it up for a few bucks an profit could be made!
Funny story about the bobble head This season, I am starting have problems trying to buy items at sales that are clearly marked and sellers grab item from my hands, run into the house with it, and say they don't want to sell it. Also it has happened that if things are unmarked and I show an interest, they immediately decide not to sell. They are so afraid someone will make a few bucks they would just rather not sell it, even after going to the trouble of having a sale..
Oh duhh. I sometimes skip over videos. I just sold one that I waited 1 month on to sell. But it was worth it. I believe it sold for $115.95 +shipping on top! @GarageFlips
Hey Man, just happened upon your site ! Very cool! I follow a few other pickers and I will now follow you ! Thanks for your video . I would like to have a private conversation with you sometime! As a master craftsman, the things that I found , would blow your mind. I lived and worked near Savannah Ga . So much history! Hope we can talk soon as I think it could benefit us both . I have been collecting since 1967 ! See ya !
The lady probably saw your Reds hat and thought she could get more money for the bobblehead.

You are so good at this. You might have to give up the Reds cap. I think the lady saw $$ when the cap came came for the bobblehead. Lol
Hahahaha, you’re probably right!
Yeh the time wise stuff is good. That was the fastest selling and best money. You won’t have that stuff more than a few days

Excellent as usual. Go Big Red Machine!
Nice pickups man! That pearl blue gba sp should be an easy $70-80 if it’s in good condition
Make sure the Pyrex didn't have a recall on that style. Ebay will pull it. I had that happen on a perculator.
Great haul! I miss having time to go to yard sales. Thanks for sharing!

Lonnie definitely need that sign!! Only thing is, if you send it to him you might get a rubber duckie back in return!!!
You should have grabbed the surf style windbreaker at 9:00. Those have some pretty good value.
That garage was so cool!❤✌
I like the music while you're 🚗
Great information on the gloves. Thank you!
still dark at 7 in the morning. It's like 5 and the sun is up and making a appearance.
I have one of those windbreakers but it’s Oakley and says thermonuclear protection.
Omg those Ninja turtles are so awesome I managed to get a few back and had a bunch as a kid
what a steal with that TV! Did you put it in the bottom of the bag? hahaha

At 7:25 your hat made her think she could get more.

I've sold 3 of the Surf Style jackets. All sold for $50. each.
Those surf style jackets sell quick on eBay $$$$$

You NEED that sign!
I had a woman do that to me. She pulled a $3 tag off a pair of Nikes. I refused to let her change the price. I got three pair, mabe worn once, for $9.

Bearded Picker wife Joanie collects Pyrex. He'd know.
Pyrex Carafes are a pain since they're so fragile and most of the time not easy to sell.
