I like watching your vids man . You are very respectful and kind and not trying to cut anyone’s throat for a dollar . Good stuff . Health wealth and happiness to you.
I've been watching your channel for a few weeks now, went to garage sales this weekend & picked up my first softball bat for $5. Listed it tonight & it sold in less than 20 mins for $60+ shipping! THANK YOU!! Without watching your channel I never would've bought a bat to resell.
Hey John, Did you grab that poster that you rested on the hoop with all the nba players and is it for sale? I had that exact poster in my room growing up and I will buy it if it’s for sale. Even if you take out of the frame and roll it so it’s easier to ship.
John, concerning ebay scammers, there is a place online where you can report people to the USPS Postmaster General for investigation when they for instance send you the wrong VCR as return. if you tell your scammer that you are requesting an investigation by the federal mail service they usually want to fix things QUICKLY. Don't even have to file the complaint. Just one way to bypass ebay's lack of seller support. (Info from postal employee)
Awww...she said forget yard sales, she wants to go to McDonald’s!! Lol I always have to take my baby girl to get ice cream any time she goes to yard sales with me.
The guy from whom you bought the bat seemed to be a really nice man. That's a large part of the fun of going to garage sales......meeting so many nice people.
Gotta love when you ask someone a price, and they give ya a life story of where it came from, or all the info they found out.. Sometimes I want to say Just give me the price, i got more sales to hit.
I saw your wife and i knew i had seen her some where before. It was the foster career videos i have seen before. You two are so nice and i love your videos.
I wake up at 6:30 and go to my full time job until 4pm I get home and try to hit stores and then get home take pictures then maybe get to listings. On weekends I’m sourcing product and put it in my house and try to get to it. My full time job is putting a damper on my production. I’m getting help from a friend and gonna be starting eBay. I want to so bad to quit my job and go full time but gotta make a lot more .
Most people don't bother, but asking will always be beneficial! Two options are either yes or no, or leave without asking and it ends up bugging me for the rest of the day lol.
You passed up on that curling bar with the weights at the first garage sale. That resells on the local market for probably 50-60 bucks. Those EZ Curl bars and steel plates are worth good money.
It's the memory her father that holds sentimental value, not his stuff that she had no interest in during his life. His body also belonged to him, should she hold on to that? I'm sure someone valued it highly at some point. It's not sad at all actually, to release needless attachments. Maybe it's sad he died, maybe it released him from years of decaying agony, who really can say? Death is not a condemnation for everyone who faces it or even those around them, but only for those who fear it or anticipate an unhallowed welcome.
Such a cool channel my favourite thing I saw was the antique wooden baby crib !!! Must be worth alot in the right place ! Regards to everyone in this channel who reads this comment ..waves and says hello to all around the world ! Regards Adrian and Simon. United Kingdom.
Your garage sales have a much more diverse things. I'm in the way out 'burbs of Denver and it's nothing but baby and toddler clothes and little kid toys.
That stamp book intrigues me.... Maybe the stamp dealer wasn't too impressed, but the stamps, in the book... that book looked pretty cool. There are a lot of railfans out there.... Just felt like there might be value there, looking at it... I like train stuff, and I never saw anything like it....
You found a made in the UK Dualit toaster, you scored, I have one of those up right now. Keep your eyes peeled for Sunbeams Radiant controlled toasters as well. They first came out in the late 1950's, made them up until the mid 90's and don't have "plunger" handles on the sides, you just drop the bread in and it slowly comes up when ready. They go for 70 bucks, but a guy did a youtube video recently and they were going for around $125 recently and they are common.
Great content, been following for a while. One correction to your terminology if I may. That screw in the stand is a "slotted" (vs phillips drive) not a flathead as you called it. And you are correct slotted screws are typically indicative of older construction ie older pieces. Thanks again for the videos, keep them coming.
Hey John I have a quick question. How do you keep track of everything you spend when you go out to the sells. I never see you writing anything down. Just wondering how you process your purchases to keep up with profit and loss. Great videos BTW!!
He probably keeps track of the total amount he paid for the day, instead of each individual item. It'd be very tedious bookkeeping if he kept track of every single item he bought.
15:58 THIS (among other reasons) is what distinguishes CP from the rest of the pickers. Show this to people stereotyping "resellers" as greedy and heartless. This game is not only about profits, it's about COMMUNITY.
i dont know about train stamps but my late great grandpa collected stamps and lately my family has been looking them up and he has 64 elvis stamps worth nearly 8 grand. ans there were Olympic stamps worth 400 dollars and things like that. some stamps can have great value
Dude if you was around South Louisiana my mom and my grandmother has two garage sales a year. it is dirt cheap. And it's lots of stuff as well . As well for them snow globes I bet any amount of money that they would have put $2 on it.
Finally something I'm an expert in, aircraft model kits...you got a good deal, but you shouldn't have passed up the B-52 kit, sell like hotcakes on eBay, my #1 favorite sell item.
Those train stamps aren't worth much. They're from countries that make money by printing stamps with interesting topics that they try to sell to collectors. The stamps are rarely used for actual postage. Some countries even print them with cancellations to try to trick people into thinking that the stamps are used. This is called CTO ("cancelled to order"). There can be money in stamps but so far none of the stamps I've seen on any of the picker sites are worth anything. However, I'm waiting for that one big find.
There is definitely money in stamps, Picker. But, like art, you gotta know what you're looking at. My father does stamps, it's a good business but the market is small.

Those GI Joes and models were a great find. I have sold a few models and they go pretty well. Sawyer getting in on the yard sale trips. Love it.

That bat was actually like 350$
Yeah marucci bats are doing pretty good at this time
No it’s like 200 or 150 I have the same bat as a Bbcore
That bat is used and an old model, it’s not close to $350. It still is worth like $40-$50, so it’s still a steal.
The Easton s2 is a drop 10, not worth much
That was a marucci

Look for vintage sewing baskets and vintage lighting like swag lamps. Also curtains and vintage tablecloths n linens.
