Thank u for this tip! It's one of those moments when u see something and are like omg! Duh! Why didn't I think of that? It's also funny to see how many others comment saying "I would have never thought of that!" That's totally me....thanks so much! I love all your tutorials and tips...
You are so welcome Ryte! If only you saw how many failed attempts are lying on my desk right now, you'd laugh and realize it wasn't as easy as it looks!
Thank you and I'm glad you asked Elizabeth 😀 When I'm pausing in between gluing coils down, I place my glue bottle upside down in a shot glass. In the bottom of the shot glass, I place a wrung out damp tissue. The slight dampness prevents the glue from drying out. Here's a link to that video if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/hGL5PDZmyto/w-d-xo.html If glue has dried up inside the nozzle, I use a pin to unclog it and soak in hot water to get out the really stubborn bits. Hope that helps! Cecelia
@PaperZenCeceliaLouie I am very new to paper quilling but I love it. last year my aunt asked me outright " but what do you do about the glue bottle clogging up?" I told her " simple! I take the cap off and use a sewing pin AND a babywipe to clean it" she finds that would be annoying but for me I am autistic and find tasks like that to be part of the process AND fun. so I don't mind taking the time. in my past I've sorted a huge bucket of perler beads (you melt ) into a jewelry storage bin for hours on end until I ran out of spaces! 😅when I went to show my cousin she was like " I could never omg!" and then gave me a mini heart attack when she tilted it they almost mixed up! I blurted " NO DONT YOULL RUIN MY HARD WORK!" and she apologized saying " oh....yeah"😅 sorting and colors calms my brain. 😊❤
😂 I know right? It’s a tip I give beginners starting to use the needle tool for making regular coils. The friction helps the paper wrap around the smooth metal. Hope it helps you!

LOL OMG if you only saw my desk Pat! I posted a photo in the community tab so you can see I'm not perfect whatsoever!
Very good tip! 😊👍🏻 Thank you! I sometimes moisten my fingers too before making a tight coil, but I never thought of moistening the paper strip too 🤔😉.

Thank you for your videos! My question is not coil related. You seem approachable so….how do you keep the needle nose glue bottle tip clean? Thank you

Thank you so much Nancy! 😊
Thank you for teaching this. The hole in the middle can be so annoying when not adding bring to cover it.
Glad it was helpful!

Viel zu kompliziert! Nehme eine Stopfnadel und öffne die Öse. Damit kannst Du das Quillingpapier viel einfacher aufrollen.
I’m glad you found a way that works for you.
