When I started IF 8 years ago (and I still do it!) I did a tbs of heavy cream in my coffee and no sweetener for the first couple days to “wean” myself - the fat content helps to not spike glucose as high as if you used creamer - as a crutch. As soon as I went to just black coffee and water, it made the biggest difference. By day 4 I felt amazing. Within 3 weeks I was fasting 18-20 hours a day. I took off a ton of weight and had energy to burn. I am so thankful to have learned about IF. I’m in my 60s, take none of the meds that many of my friends and relatives are taking, and my doc says I have the blood pressure of a teenager.
Thank you for sharing. We knew going into this that we were taking this beyond the 21 days, we are still going strong, and Mindy is officially not using creamer anymore. I honestly feel like I have gained years of life in just 25 days (now). There is no looking back! We look forward to the next one, NO SUGAR! I for one am addicted to a cookie or two, lol. Again, thank you for the comment! -Jason
Hey Mindy, once I finally started drinking my coffee black in the morning, because of fasting, I actually got used to it. Now that’s the way I prefer my coffee! You can do it ❤
@BFTG-Adventure After I hit send I was thinking about fasting, I think my Bestie J does this, I must ask her what time frame she does it by. Thanks again, I always enjoy learning something new!
Excellent idea. Our next one starting February 1st is no sugar... essentially eliminating carbs, but the carnivore diet sounds like a great challenge.! Thank you for the suggestion. We've got a vegan suggestion as well, maybe we will do vegan first, followed by carnivore and compare the two.
@@BFTG-Adventure I've been intermittent fasting for years and keto/carnivore definitely makes it much easier. I can easily go 24 hours without eating and never feel hungry.
Hi kids. Love everything you are doing. Check out a book called, "Eat Right for Your Type," by Dr. Peter D'Adamo. The premese of the book is eating foods that are either beneficial, neutral, or are harmful (to avoid) according to your blood type. It is not a new theory and it is scientifically proven.

Same with me now Joni, I think she will get used to it (Jason).
L9 great content thank you I’ll definitely try fasting 😊
@@waniplayzone thank you very much for the comment!
I found the information interesting about the intermittent fasting.
How about trying a vegan diet for a week?
That is the second vegan suggestion, @jonihofmann3318 suggested it as well. That will be out next one after the no sugar.
Totally 🥰 Mindy and I can experiment with some WFPB recipes!
Interesting video, I wasn't familiar with this fasting idea, I am going to try and cut out the sugars. I look forward to your next challenge.
Thank you, sugar will be tough. I am highly addicted to it... (Jason)

15:41 Do it.
Push ups?
@@BFTG-Adventure yes. Not a bad idea.
@@LuisYomba I love it! It's added to the list! Thank you.
Just wondering if you are both retired or work from home? I think leaving the house for 10 hours a day makes things difficult for me. Nice video.
Thank you. If you don't mind me asking, why would leaving the house for 10 hours a day would make it difficult to fast?
What about trying a carnivore plan while intermittent fasting? It's much easier for me to fast while eating almost zero carbs.

Thank you Mom! We will definitely look into it! Step one for me is actually knowing my blood type, lol. I really don’t know.
I’m like Mindy, I don’t like to waste.
Yeah, I understand that part, lol. But, we were doing a fast challenge… haha
Mindy why the cream?! What a waste of time!
