  • The Rotator is a cool way to use your keyboard controller with the NDLR to play “rotating” note chords. We first heard of this algorithm from Robby Kilgore (robbykilgore.com/harmonic-exp.... This technique was first realized on an Oberheim Xpander using Triggers and Zones. Robby explains it really well at the above URL. To view and hear The Rotator watch Harmonic Rotation Toy video ( • Harmonic Rotation Toy ). BTW the magic that Robby creates with the Rotator comes from his keen musicality and his ear and intuition of the intervals that the Rotator creates.
You may need a firmware update to use this feature. See firmware updates at the conductivelabs.com/download page.

Hi Steve, thank you for the continued support of the NDLR in the form of the new firmware update [1.1.086]. Really appreciate it! I've updated the NDLR already but haven't had a play with the new features. I'm sure they will be fun. Cheers.

Thank you guys for your continued commitment to the NDLR; it is so very much appreciated. These additional features are all the more impressive in that you saw other demonstrations of the concepts and thought “let’s apply those to our NDLR”. Truly outstanding. 😃👍🏻👍🏻

Sorry I am new to this tool ( 4 hours ). But can I use the rotator with the chord sequencer without a keyboard? That's because I need the keyboard to play without change the ndlr sound.

I wonder how this would go with non percussive notes that glide?

I used the paino because it made it easy to discern the notes. Its a ton of fun to use with synth voices pads or leads! 🙂

Glide can make great “pedal steel” like pads. But you have to set the poliphony so it’s forced to reuse the same 3 voices from a single note input. Or 6 voices if you’re always inputting 2 notes at once.
