LOL... Up hill both ways in my Dads pajama's..lol or was it.. through the swamp with a broken sandle..lol Good Vid Sarge. Thx for taking us to Goose Island.
Cool little island, and I liked the music in this video. Also I think finding hidden/secret natural hot springs would make for good videos, and make for a good clickable YT title lol.
Thank you. I hate having to look for music to use. Nothing like going through a bunch of random names that barely have any relation to the actual music. So much harder than it sounds!
So yeah, those were fresh water muscles...when you cook them they taste like small garbage bags full of snot and regret. The lake is navigable by commercial vessel traffic (tugboats) so Canadian Coast Guard maintains the bouys and nav lights. Great canoe and keep the adventure rolling, eh!
Good to know. I have actually did some reading up on freshwater mussels because of this and also I saw some while I was canoeing the Bowron Lakes a couple weeks ago. I didn't expect to see them there, so I had to do some research. Everything I saw was people talking about how bad they taste, so I'll definitely take their word for it😂.
Great video and outing, I am glad to see that tower condemned, I went up there like two years ago and every step felt like the thing was going to fall over, it had some serious sway. Your hangries might of been a bear for you but it came through good and funny. I've not made it out to the hot springs there yet, but they it looks amazing and I think you would be glad to make the trek.
@@SARGEinc Ya i climb around on a lot of rotted structures I repair for people, and this one is up there, I dunno if you'd fall through but I am surprised it hasn't tipped over
Revelsmoke I met him on BC Ferries leaving Nanaimo heading home two weeks ago nice guy! I asked for some samples he just laughed...lol I needed this canoe trip:) very beautiful out on the water.
Hey you found my camping spot there yep great spot. Goose island has a camp spot up on the bluff of the south end of the island ,you hike up on the bluff. To a campsote Good spot for canoe and kayak trips you Can pull boat up on the rocks.
Good to know. If I was going back I think I'd camp on the rocky beach I went to after the island. Maybe I was just tired, but that spot was calling my name while I was there.
@@SARGEinchaha that is sweet camp spot camped there a few times. that’s one of my go to spots for a day trip for sure. There are a few marine campsites on the lake also to check out. There is Another spot with a white sandy beach ,also a great camp spot but a farther paddle. Cheers. Just south along the shore from the rocky beach camp spot into the bay is another nice spot
Awesome canoe trip . Now it's time for a suggestion from the old fart peanut galley . Take a pair of sneakers and cut the heel off make a pair of slip-ons leave the soul intact.
Grat vid Sarge..love the adventures..destination hot spring sounds like a great 2 parter .
As allways..happy trails n sunny days..
Thank you!

I was thinking about ignoring the signs and going up that tower anyways, sounds like I would of fallen through the floor for sure😂

nice adventure!! i enjoy pitt lake too!
Thank you. It was definitely nice to explore it more, and do something there that wasn't just Widgeon creek.

That's not a bad idea, but I did use this opportunity to buy a pair of Crocs to paddle in.
@@SARGEinc Crocs hurt my feet no arch support that's why I did the sneaker thing. I do have a pair of crocs just don't like them.
@@vega1975 I felt like mine were comfortable, but I did notice a little blister on the side of my foot after using them 3 days in a row...
can do fishing there ??
You definitely could fish there, but I don't fish. I might have to learn though!
You need some Gorilla glue to fix that sandle lol...
Those were way beyond Gorilla Glue, and I love Gorilla Glue!
