Thanks for the review. If you open the whistle I think you'll see a signal mirror on the inside lid. Also it looks like a Ferro rod on the side.

I looked at this bag today while at Wal-Mart and I was curious about it as well. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the review! I just bought one at Walmart. I just wanted something basic to expand on. Maybe or maybe not worth the 58 dollars but if I needed it I guess it would be money well spent . I even bought extras to throw in. Again thanks for the video

Saw these at Walmart just an hour ago and there was no tag on the outside. I wanted to know what was in it. Thanks for the breakdown. I think you are right that you can build a bag of your own with better stuff. The First Aid stuff looked good but there were several things that looked awfully cheap.

I agree, I totally repacked mine. Kept the food, water and first aid. Removed the flashlights, and some other cheap items. Added a Winchester pocket knife, Mechanix gloves, and more useful items. It's in the back of my Forester now and I think in an emergency it will come in handy.

@@rubberduckie8187 They had them on sale for $24.95. I think they were returns. There were two so I bought both and made up two kits. Will give one to our daughter. I kept the mechanical flashlight but added a bunch of other stuff like you did. We have had times when they would be very handy... we get weird weather here.

Not the best but definitely not the worst I've seen. The bag, first-aid kit, paracord and emergency rations are keepers, everything else should be replaced. Thanks for the heads up!

I agree! I've already replaced/added items to it.

Thanks for the video, the bag construction looks fairly standard, the bottom seam is probably sonically welded...

Thanks for the info. That eases my concern regarding the integrity of the dry bag.

Watching this in December 2020. I would buy those bags. For $100. Repack them with a few more things. Like a bivy, canteen or cooking container and cutting tool. And resell them for $199. These days.

I saw this bag when I was in Wal-Mart today. Almost bought one, but decided to wait and see if anyone had done a review like yours. If you're keeping it, I wouldn't get rid of either flash light, as it is considered to be a two person bag, you need at least two flashlights. I'm disappointed in what they're calling a multi-tool, I guess you could call it that. I actually think the bag is the best thing about it. No knife. It's basically a pretty fair firstaid kit with some calories and water. If I were going to keep it, I'd get a couple of pairs of gloves.

Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah, I totally emptied mine out and refilled it to make a better kit. I did see the ones without the food and water online, they were considerable cheaper, but unfortunately sold out, so I had to go for this. Yes, I think the bag is the best part too. In fact, I tried looking for a dry bag just like it before I made the purchase, but was able to find a red one but not with the design printed on it. Great find for $9!

Thanks for the review. I saw these yesterday and since I would need 2 bags I have decided that they aren't worth the money for my needs.

Thanks. I decided to bite the bullet and buy the bag so i could review it, so i could help others decide if it meets their needs. Glad i could help.

So, I found out how to make this worth while. Went to Walmart in Homewood, Alabama and they had three of these on a sale rack. I could tell it was missing some things, because it wasn't as large as the one in this video. It's the same bag, just not full, but at $8.98, heck the bag is worth that. So I got it. I got it home, and the only thing missing is the food and water. This is almost exactly the same as my doxa bag, it's a great bag, not just a good one, a great one. $58 for the one in the video, not even close, but $9 for the one I got, I wish now I'd bought all three.

Sub-par not worth the money. That kit & kits like it should not be alowed to be sold...just makes a danger zone of stupid

The food rations, emergency drinking water, first aid kit, paracord, flashlight and dry bag are worth it in any survival kit. The other items could have been replaced with more useful ones. Overall, I agree it may have been a lil' pricey, but it is definitely better than having nothing at all.
