Wow. I can't believe (but I SHOULD) that Pastor Voddie recognizes that every "spoonful" of food we put in OUR mouths, is MORE than what MOST people will eat in a week. I've been saying that to people for decades. And that's another reason I cry everytime I eat some food that God has ALLOWED me to eat. Thank you, Pastor Voddie. Thank you.

I thank God for speaking Through Pastor Voddie. Thank you God for sending Jesus. YOU in the flesh.
And because of this teaching, God Telling us all ONCE again, how to be Followers of Him:
MAYBE, just MAYbe, I got ONE thing right. I always knew and KNOW that the roof over my head (and it is a precious little place that God has ALLOWED me to indwell) and the food in my stomach is God Almighty being His usual gracious self and ALLOWING me these things EVEN Though - - - I Sinned against Him royally. Meaning, I NEVER thought or think that it's because of things I did "right".
I rejoice AND cry EVERY time I eat some food. Because I've thought for a LONG time - - I Do NOT deserve ANYthing from God. God is Loving enough to even ALLOW me to eat some food! And my Greatest NEED of all has, and Always Will be - - Jesus THE Christ. (And Satan tried to tear down what God has allowed me to live on this earth WHILE I am STILL here.
I've KNOWN for a LONG time that - - this earth is not my permanent residence. I haven't felt "comfortable" on this earth for - - since I was born. I Hate Satan. I HATE him. LIAR. He's going to TRY and Steal THOSE two things (which is what/all I have) away from me and put God down? What a teeny tiny nothing of a creature. Liar.)

My understanding of election began with a sermon from Voddie. It is slowly opening up the Bible and the secrets of my life to me.
I believe that I was called, but I was without understanding and I have been searching for God, never once doubting that He was who He is.
But, having been brought up in a Evangelical Primitive Baptist Church, not being able to flee the fear that, somehow I had forgotten to admit a particular sin, that I played a part in my own Salvation and that I had messed up my part.
Every sermon was evangelical and I left every service filled with fear.
After I graduated, I foed the church because I couldn't take the constant knowledge that my eternity depended upon my salvation and that I might have failed a part of that.
Election has freed me. I know that I was called or I wouldn't have been searching for some way to understand how to please him without an unburden able weight of constant fear and dread
If I hadn't been called of him, for the last 45 years I would have stopped searching for the understanding that would bring me peace.
The reformed church that introduced me to election, and the realization that I Can't mess up my Salvation, because I play No Part in it, that God is solely responsible for my Salvation and that He is infallible, has lifted a weight that I have carried for so long that it is almost a part of my DNA.
I praise God and thank him that He sent Voddie and other great men of wisdom and understanding to show me the Bible.
I read it, but feared it because I couldn't understand. I am beginning on my journey to understanding and accepting.

You can NOT “GRAB A LIFE PRESERVER” YOU DON’T NEED OR SEE. Ephesians 4:17-19. Unless you have His “desires for righteousness” you don’t see a need for Him, or His desires for you. AND YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE THE “POWER” TO EVEN DO SO, as well.

Need I remind you when David sinned. God forgave him,he didn't lose his salvation but if you read the account there was consequences for his sin that God brought on his family. It seems Pastor Voddie believes that there are absolutely no consequences when a believer sins ..

    • @drmoz43
      @drmoz43 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes there is consequences for sins. I have seen many people who has suffered from sinning. Some repented & others said they have nothing to repent when comes to sins. God does & will judge sin of each human being!!!

@@drmoz43 it's absolutely true as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we will never face the wrath of God but that doesn't mean he will watch idly by when his children falls into deep sin. God will discipline us but his wrath will never fall on us because Jesus already endured it on the cross. Mr Baucham needs to distinguished between God's discipline and his wrath.

Be careful brothers and sisters to examine very carefully what a preacher is saying! They may not mean evil but they are Human and errors can creep in to all our thinking. Most of our errors come from not giving God credit for being big enough. For example people who reject the belief in the virgin birth of Jesus don't believe in a God that is big enough to reorder the working of the creation He made to suit his purposes.
Not believing in the whole package is still denying God's full power!
If we say that Christ only died for the predestined we are selling him short!
When you believe in a God that is big enough you can believe in free will AND predestination at the same time! For instance, how could an all-knowing God who is outside of time not know who would believe in him and who wouldn't? Yet for us to be held accountable for our sin, we have to be free to choose him. How can Jesus say," My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10: 27 & 28? They hear his voice and they respond & follow him. They hear his voice and follow him = free will. "My sheep "= predestined.
Why call us believers if we don't have to make a decision to believe/ follow?
Another case of what I call "both and" is that both a person's sins and their rejection of Christ's payment for their sins sends a person to Hell.
Why do we proudly put almighty God in a box with a label on it instead of humbling ourselves and admitting we don't know it all right now and letting him teach us at his pace?
