We don’t need graphics that blow us away, really good graphics are good enough. F ray tracing, F locked 4K, F all the graphics terms that nobody knows that they mean. We need games with great gameplay first, second, third, and eighth. Thats why Helldivers 2 has taken the gaming world by storm.
Nioh meets sekiro meets the fun versions of assassin’s creed? I don’t care if it’s derivative it looks fun lol. Remember when video games used to be fun?

Bruh what games are you playing that aren't fun? Like my brother in miyamoto you're literally choosing to play these games and you're just parroting stuff that people have said about your own favorite titles.
Open World and Souls like combat really do play to each other’s strengths. Having trouble with a particular boss or area? Just go do another quest or area and come back with better skills or equipment.
I guess this game is gonna divide a lot of people. Folks complaining about graphics but the combat and gameplay looks real fun to me. Especially with it being a mix between Sekiro, GoT, and nioh. Plus IZUNA DROP IS BACK!! Yeah I’m fully on board

thank you for an actual in-depth, thoughtful discussion. The subreddit for this game is a bit panicky these days, and this helped a lot. How have I never heard of this channel before? :D
As gamer with additional support needs, glad to here about openness. Not against difficultly but difficultly means different things to different people. So even easy can challenge me at times. Can't wait to play.
really appreciate the discussion about difficulty, I know it's from the people who made Nioh and I'm not a Souls person so thinking it may have been another Soulslike put me off and I haven't found anybody else talking about that.
Souls games are not hard. They simply require that you learn the mechanics and learn enemy attack patterns through trial and error. And the whole death resting everything is hyped up to be something it's not - yes enemies come back when you die, but that's no different to any game in existence - if you die in COD you have to go through the same enemies again from the last checkpoint. And actually it's an easier mechanic in Souls games because it's not a true reset - items you picked up stay with you, doors remain unlocked, shortcuts remain open, etc. Making life a lot easier than games where literally everything is reset. Plus the only one that offered true challenge with traversal was Dark Souls 1, in which you'd lose hours of progression if you die becausethe bonfires were far apart and no fast travel, but since then there's always a bonfire 5 feet away from the last plus fast travel so traversal is a non issue now. Souls games are not hard.
If you aren’t a souls person, you won’t like this game. Period. Just cuz you press one button to attack and another to party doesn’t mean you don’t have to learn it like Dark Souls or Elden Ring. I mean how casual are you? These are videogames.
@@keithbalbi3927Souls games are annoying to play, honestly. I like the combat but Im not fond of the fact that I have to run all the way back to the boss and since enemies respawn, I often lose some health/flask or die before I get back to the boss. Some enjoy this but I don't. Elden Ring is an exception.
I appreciate when game devs give difficulty levels/choices. I typically play most games on default/normal but with the rise of souls likes I eventually hit a wall on some and the game stops being fun so I don't want to go back to it and that's so disappointing
I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition afew weeks ago, and yesterday bought Dragons Dogma 2 Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox and both release on the same day

I completely slept on Ghost of Tsushima when it first came out, I've played through the game to Platinum the PS4 and PS5 version. I won't sleep on Rise of the Ronin
Wulong felt a bit repetitive after some point, whereas Nioh 2 has a lot of depth if you learn advanced techniques, and I think rise of the ronin will go more to wulong side as they target a bigger clientele who won't bother with complicated stuff like nioh 2 .
Nioh 2 was overwhelming for a lot of people including me. I've played around 200+ hours on the game but I initially stopped at the snake boss which I think is the 3rd or 4th boss. Took a break for a month or so came back and beat the game entirely. It takes a little time to click but once you learn everything, understand the plethora of different skills, you get hooked.
@@Yashdavid51 It’s a game with a huge replay value. I’ve been playing it almost non stop since release in 2020. Still learning new things and ways to get better/make new builds. Whether you like Sony or whether you don't; They are far and away the most consistent when it comes to quality in video gaming.
Might wanna take a look at some other channel's recent previews - they're nowhere near as positive as this one. The consensus so far is that it's a dated, mediocre game with a sparse, lifeless open world, bland writing, and boring side quests....
@@jaydiaz2124 That is not the consensus. Literally made up. This channel, IGN, GamesRadar, Fextralife, GameSpot and several more have all shared the opinion that what they've played of the game thus far has been incredible. Seriously, why make stuff up? Ridiculous.
@SSJ2Phenom It's not made up when there's clear evidence of other channels saying the game has incredibly poor visuals, watered-down combat, and a repetitive game loop. You could also open your eyes and see for yourself that the game is incredibly dated. The animations are really lacking. Interesting, have seen a few differing opinions on this, that honestly makes me more interested when people cant decide rather than when a game is loved or hated by "everyone"
The internet reaction to RotR is so weird. There are quite a few positive previews and reactions like this one, but people in general just run with the "negative" ones, which mostly are just slightly disappointed, or saying the game hasn't hooked/impressed them in the opening hours. None that I know of outright said the game was bad, but if you read comments online you'd think the game is the worst thing ever made. Regardless, there are very few open world games out there that also have great combat. I'm glad Team Ninja is trying out new things. The RPG mechanics like bond building, the setting and story all sound very exciting. Can't wait to see how the game actually turns out.
And everyone told me I was wrong when I said it wasn't gonna be a full on souls like. Perfect. I appreciate some people enjoy that niche, but it's not something the majority of players want to deal with
I KNOW there were “certain people” trying to HATE on this saying crap like “it doesn’t look THAT IMPRESSIVE for a 9th gen game.” While I don’t necessarily DISAGREE with that sentiment, let me just say: if you’re a GAMER and looked at this and you’re not ITCHING to try it out, I don’t WANT TO know you, because CLEARLY your gaming taste is as far removed from anything I would consider “good” as you can imagine.

I was excited about DD2, but RotR won me over as it looks like pure fun instead of a low fps headache. I love Assassins Creed, Souls-like, and Ghosts of Tsushima and this has it all
Hope the combats as good as Nioh, but it hasnt got the ki/stamina regeneration technique (cant remember what its called) ki burst or something, that added so much to it.
You do have something similar (if I’m remembering Nioh right!) where you can press R1 after an attack and depending on how much blood you have on your sword, can flick it off in exchange for some stamina/ki back to keep fighting. Works really well in combat, kinda like Gears of War’s tactical reload lol
This is the first review that gave it a good review. Everyone I’ve seen talk about this game has said it’s ok but not as good as they thought. They expected more of a Nioh open world sort of deal. Idk think I’m waiting on a sale for this one. Glad u guys enjoyed it.

Same. I decided RotR because DD2 has a lot of tedious walking around aimlessly with no directions. Also 30fps or lower sucks. Ill try DD2 later, but RotR feels like a safer bet on fun
The reviews have been all over the place. This game should be right up my alley, so since ive already preordered, Im gonna play it and hope for the best.
I'm going to laugh if the graphics are up to snuff when the game comes out and the graphics people are shitting on are what they want you to see so the game can generate buzz.

If it's anything like ghosts or neo I think I'll be okay wolong was really good too but by the end of it I was just kind of like uh probably going to get this game and check it out.
Give this game a try. Wo long was a downgrade from nioh but still an amazing game that held my attention for a long time and was redownloaded multiple times after deleting. Save your money from dd2 which has toxic devs talking trash about themselves, the game, and fans, they censored the game, removed previous features to solidify censorship while lying outright about why they were doing it, and it's only going to be 15-25 fps this is not a rumor this is confirmed by the developers themselves stating "they hope to get the game to an uncapped 30fps by release".

Get Dragons Dogma my dude
Get what you want BUT if you liked sekiro I've heard this is team ninjas version of that. If you enjoyed the first dragons dogna you'll love the 2nd.
Get Rise of the Ronin, this is gonna be crack, team ninja is awesome
I keep going back and forth between getting this or Dragon’s Dogma 2. Both look like amazing games and I just can’t decide
Same. I decided RotR because DD2 has a lot of tedious walking around aimlessly with no directions. Also 30fps or lower sucks. Ill try DD2 later, but RotR feels like a safer bet on fun
Can’t wait to use the FIRE PIPE!! 🔥 🔥
The reviews have been all over the place. This game should be right up my alley, so since ive already preordered, Im gonna play it and hope for the best.
Awsome preview guys 👌
I'm going to laugh if the graphics are up to snuff when the game comes out and the graphics people are shitting on are what they want you to see so the game can generate buzz.
Emm, I think that emm, this is going to be emm a good emm game.
Does this have the souls formula???
Someone really fucked up setting the release date on the same day as Dragon's Dogma 2. Im excited for RotR but the marketing hasnt been anywhere near DD2 and theyll probably target similar audiences
Im probably going to put about 5 to 10 hours in each and then choose which one to focus first depending on where im having the most fun
@@TylerKadle yeah I imagine im probably gonna go full immersion with DD2 and play more casually with Ronin like putting a podcast on while exploring or something
Damn mixed signals all over the place… welp I already went n bought the deluxe hope for the best
Hope the multiplayer is open world n not just story missions I pre ordered to play with my brothers but I’m sure we’ll still have fun hopefully they’ll consider Adding it, if it not
After assassin's creed valhalla, I swore off ever playing massive open world games again and mostly play shorter single player and indie games. After watching the trailer, the behind the scenes videos, and this video, I'm very tempted. Does anyone know what the main story gameplay time will roughly be?
I need a new Onimusha (ignoring 4) and Tenchu 🙏
I was sold on the fact that you can pet cats. :D
Damn man I’m getting very mixed impressions on this. Best team ninja game?? Hard to believe
Can someone please talk to Fighting cowboy please. His impressions really depressed me.
After you play it you'll have a better idea of who to trust going forward.
I have been waiting for this since the last way of the samauri
Having a boss battle with Matthew Perry feels so wrong!! 😭 (yes I know Commodore Perry was a real person)
Can't wait
Fun game and interesting story, because I find myself just doing a lot of side missions and then I’m like okay thinking the next one I do is a side mission and I’m like oh no this is main lmao I get carried away just going around and doing stuff 😂
Good to hear more positivity on this one. Some of the previews are kinda ehh.
The important question is: where The Hayabusa Village is hidden 😊?
Not sure but his armour is available lol
@@stephensearles673 they keep teasing him lol
@@blackmanwithcomputer it's their most popular character I wish they'd make another ninja gaiden game to make up for number 3 for a start 😂
@@stephensearles673 I'm sure that it's in the cards, cuz they've mentioned it multiple times in the last few years.
Tho, I would like to see them use a new engine for a new Ninja Gaiden lol.
@@blackmanwithcomputer definitely their gameplay is great and so is the combat like you said they just need to update the engine
I find it odd there is no demo out yet.
I can pretty much guarantee they will not release a demo for this
still on the fence. does it have enough depth to keep me playing for 100s of hours or is it a one and done. i know it doesn't have the depth of nioh , which is a shame, but from what i've seen so far i see a much more stream lined easier game which is putting me off.
0:30 was that the ninja gaiden moveset?
From what ive seen and heard it’s far cry with swords
It continuously amazes me how people can have vastly differing opinions. You guys are the first people ive heard say anything good about this game.
There actually has been more positive previews than negative ones. The only 2 negative previews were Fightincowboy and Rurikhan. Every other preview I've seen has been pretty positive about this game
I've seen mostly great previews, like one or two Ok..you need to check a few more sources
I'm honestly kind of pissed DD2 comes out on the same day. I am so split on which games to dive into. I know I'll be sucked into whichever one I start first. First world problems. :(
I'm waiting for reviews from reviewers I trust. Nioh 2 is one of my favorite games, and I did not like Wo Long (yes, I beat it). I'm hopeful, but am weary.
The gotcha moments are the best though
I was so on the fence ntil I heard "Its more like JEDI than Nioh" the JEDI games were garbage. Probably waiting for full reviews now.
Looks cool but I think I’m going with Dragons Dogma first
Cant wait gameplay looks awesome all that matters
Is it just me or does this video end very suddenly almost mid sentence? It's 19:51 in total for me.
Ehm.... That's the English "like" thanks for the review . Looking forward to it.
i am sure it wont be that good :).
How easy is easy mode in this game?
Funny everyone else is very down on it
Im doubtful it’s gonna be better than Nioh 2 but I’ll see
Is it blurry on preformance mod like ff7?
No
I’m playing ninja gaiden razors edge and a little bit of nioh 1 to get ready
Does anybody know how hard is easy mode?😅😅
I said it last video too im excited for this game and dragon's Dogma 2. I had to skip hell divers 2 so i could get them both , but it's worth it.
Im sure its good. But why for the love of god can't Team Ninja step up their world building
I already beat rebirth 46 hours
I have no doubt this is gonna be good but I'm thinking Dragons Dogma 2 is gonna be an overall better game.
Thoughts?
I didn’t really care for the first dragons dogma so I’m picking up Rise of Ronin, I’ve always liked team ninja games
@@ekim5013 I've heard early mixed reviews so far on Rise
