Buckle up for a ride through the nightlife area of Fukuoka, known as Oyafuko-dori, with none other than one of its legends, Luis Matos. Our journey kicks off at the Off Broadway cafe in Bayside Place, before we weave through Oyafuko, revisiting the progression of Luis's bars, as well as others, over the last three decades. Wow Luis and Nick - talk about a trip down memory lane. 30 years ago that I was in Fukuoka and went to the original Off Broadway, and then Off Broadway v2. International Bar...I had many a meal at Nanak's and the yakitori place under it. And the Mosburger around the corner at the end of a night out. I practically lived in Oyafuko lol.

We can’t hear anything…music is very loud and sound quality is really bad…soooooo sad because I was one of the first international bar clients and a fan of Luis🥲very disappointed 😢

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, the music is prominent, and deliberately so, as this is a nightlife tour. But, of course, it could have been set lower. Here's a suggestion: click on the "CC" icon along the bottom of the video player screen to turn on text captions so you follow more easily. 🙂
