All you guys are the best. You all wear your hearts on your sleeves, and I love you for that. So thank you for all that you continue to do for others, and God bless you too.
Watched maybe 80 episodes of George to the Rescue, this one is so fabulous! In floods of tears! The architect Gordon Kahn should receive an award. It’s a pity that he wasn’t at the reveal, he deserved praise.
I'm not going to stop asking this … how does a channel like this one, so full of hope and humor and love have only 23.8k followers? I am serious, everyone watching, please subscribe, like, and tell your friends. What the world needs now is more of things like this. George, thank you for another amazing episode.
Fanuka is an awesome kinda guy. I just love how he sees the deceased father of the family as a part of the family of craftsmen by saying"he is one of us". Great spirit! Maybe it's because I'm a railwayman that I appreciate that greatly. Railwayworkers are one big family, too.
oh man, it's another emotional video. George, I am addicted now. this is my maybe 30+ video nonstop on youtube. No other videos for youtube. You and your every crew make people happy. I am not in even USA. But if I was there, I am definitely come to see you for a hug. You are the best.
Light and calm. Love the additional space with the stairwell walls removed. What a transformation for them. One thing you do that I really love, is that if a parent or spouse has passed away; you include a picture of them in the finished project. That means so much to these families. Super good work George, keep paying it forward.
I could be wrong but the more I watch these episodes the more I am convinced that adversity makes people sweeter, well balanced, behaved, etc. I mean their dad is gone and these kids are so sweet. You can see this same attitude in all the other families. Like when bad things happen, yo sort of see life from a different perspective and it just draws you closer to each other in the family.
i love love love the contractors reaction....the sincerity to help the family can be seen in their faces....amazing amazing...and george you are aweeesomeeeee!!!!
Wow. Expansive invasion of carpenter ants. The family may have seen some ants, or evidence of their destruction, probably had no idea what was happening. What an extra bonus that workmen found the ants when they were rennovating! George always says "Geez, there's a lot to do yet", but they always get everything finished.
This home rescue was " Touched By An Angel.'I believe the Dad was looking down guiding George and everyone involved to his home. Remarkable, perfect rescue !!!
George, I keep watching these videos continuously.. it’s a good addiction.. emotional.. tearing up almost all the time.. 😬 Love each and every thing you do.. huge respect ✊ Also.. Fanuka what an awesome human being! 👏
I know I've seen the contractor before, just can't recall where. He's the one who fell to his knees when he was told the furniture would arrive in 2 hours, when the living room was full of kitchen cupboard, appliances, etc. Good looking man.
Oh my Gosh, God is looking down and bless you all, what a nice job, she and her’s two daughters has now the home that her’s deseace husband couldn’t fixed for them, thanks a lot
I started watching this a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. So powerful. I think about how lives have been transformed because good folks have made a difference. George you have a kind heart and it shows. You truly care. I also appreciate learning about your team collaborations! Continue to do good. Love this!
Absolutely AMAZING....BEAUTIFUL....WARM....FRIENDLY.....them!! Wowie-Wow already!! Thanks to all of you involved with this wonderful, safe and warmer transformation! Just a side note here George...l was crying like crazy around the 2:00 minute mark!! Peace and Blessings to ALL of you!! ;) 💜
Oh my goodness, this is my hometown I got so excited to see Verplanck being put on your show George to the rescue. Made me so happy to see that his family was getting the help they needed in my little Hamlet town. I'm so happy for them. I grew up on 6th Street in Verplanck. God bless you for doing this.
I've watched quite a few George to the Rescue... This was really a great transformation. Love what y'all did with the basement stairs and taking that wall down.😊
She didn't ask for the attic to be turned into a room of any kind, but just to have it insulated so the heat wasn't constantly being lost through the roof. George and his team did what was asked of them, and frankly, a lot more.
How fortunate for the family you guys came along for these ladies, sort of. It lost a lot of its insulating value when they cut corners by not removing the rotten studs and did they even treat for carpenter ants??? Closed cell foam in the ceiling is bad because you will never know if there is a leak until way too late. Wish they had added to the attic, instead of just insulating, alone. Should have made the kitchen a little narrower and tucked the entry coat closet between the bath and kitchen, instead of the living room. Then they could have had a bigger dining table...
She didn't ask for that; she wanted it insulated, and it was primarily a storage area. Not all houses have foundations that can take the extra load of the heavy use a living space would put on it.
Too bad that cellar stairway is so prominent and right inside the front door dividing the room. I'm surprised they didn't consider moving it. If it's a slab foundation..understandable, otherwise it would have made a huge difference in the aesthetics.
vh2 ...... A slab foundation means , there’s no basement.. just a thick properly supported cement slab laid flat with the ground ... so there would no stairs. But structural reasons would have prevented moving the stairs... so this was the best use of space.
Terribly expensive, very difficult in a house so small, and it would have required a ridiculous amount of reconfiguring the whole layout. The way the architect planned the remodeled space is actually very good, and as the mother noted, her daughters will be leaving home soon, and the house will be (just the right space for her to live in all the time).
*So the mother asked if they could do the attic thats what she wanted fixing up, yet they didnt show the attic only them insulating the roof up there? So why didnt they show the finished attic? They sent her a sneak peak of the insulation being done up there so i thought that was going to be another space for the family which would of been amazing for the girls to hang out as they only had that very small open plan living room kitchen, but it was better than it was just assumed with the focus being on the attic they would of shown the finished space🤷🏼♀️*
She did not ask for a finished attic, she asked for it to be insulated. It's only used for storage, and it would have cost a fortune to beef up the foundation to support the additional weight of such things as dormer windows--there isn't enough headroom in that attic to use as living space--and the entire team of PROFESSIONALS understood that.
George recycles as much material as he can, but if something is unsafe--as the cupboards appeared to be (the mother said they were already old/used when her husband installed them years before)--then he trashes them so nobody else gets bad materials..
Of COURSE it's "SO American;" it's an American show, made here in America, with American contractors and builders...why the foolish statement in that regard????
The speech from the GC, in the beginning, was beautiful!
I love Steve Fanuka! ❤️ Together with George they're a great team...and I'm not even from the USA. 😊
All you guys are the best. You all wear your hearts on your sleeves, and I love you for that. So thank you for all that you continue to do for others, and God bless you too.
Thank you for your support!

Way to go Stephen Fanuka, your always so much fun with George but what you said to the other contractors was just so spot on.
Aww how sweeet when (Stephen Fanuka) said "A contractor one of us"
Aside from George, Stephen Fanuka is fun to watch with.
i would love to see George , Stephen and Tyler together on a rescue it would be a zoo lol
Steve Fanuka is my favorite contractor you have on.
i love love love the contractors reaction....the sincerity to help the family can be seen in their faces....amazing amazing...and george you are aweeesomeeeee!!!!
Big fan of Fanuka!!
Awesome 💯✌️🍷🖤
My husband died at the age of 44 as well. I know how hard it must be. You have raised two beautiful girls, and on your own. God bless you and yours!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I realize your comment wasn't addressed to me, but may God bless you and yours, also.
Stephen Fanuka you are tops. I am so happy every time I see an episode that you are in.

So happy for this super sweet family. Well deserved. And yes, I think it was divinely provided to them by their Dad.
Fanuka!
It turned out so cute and cozy I love it
The ideas of the architect crucial and well put. Wonderful job under hard circumstances. Thank you.
You know it's going to be good when Steve is GC.
George & his teams are amazing!
Thank you! We have a great team.

That’s a beautiful thing they’ve done for that family 🌹The Mother & her sweet daughters were so appreciative of the gift they were given. 💕
Her daughters are cute

Steve Fanuca, hope i got his name right, Is a MASTER. HIs work is incredible!!!
Good Guy George.
ohhhh
Daughters. They look like twins. I think they deserve a bigger home. It is nice however. They can make it. Is all the point.
Love to see steve again
Beautiful job
Wonderful upgrade. Love it! There is so much space - try living in a standard house in the UK - relatively tiny. Good luck to all x
How come they didn’t show the finished attic, which was what she asked for?
Same question
Not much to show. Evertbody knows what spray foam looks like
She said that the attic was too cold all the time, so they did address it. The attic was spray foam insulted. Usuallly gray, that’s about it.
She didn't ask for the attic to be turned into a room of any kind, but just to have it insulated so the heat wasn't constantly being lost through the roof. George and his team did what was asked of them, and frankly, a lot more.
Joyce Blodgett exactly
What a nice job they did! I'm happy for them. But nobody's "got to gather around a tv".
Love these guys.
Bless you guys ❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cool beans
On the count of 3......3.....confusing! Great video
As usual....GREAT JOB George! Just an observation....Fenuka, from certain angles, looks like Brad Pitt.
Beautiful
Welcome home! 😍
Love this designer!
Who points the thumb dow . Incomprehensible.
FYI. Little girls not yr house. It's yr Mama house. U just live there. Still didn't see no kitchen table. But it's Beautiful tho. 🌹🌹🌹🌹

I've learned a lot from the show.
So happy to hear that, Lillia!
Beautiful job but it would have been great if you could have built on our use the attic for more room
She didn't ask for that; she wanted it insulated, and it was primarily a storage area. Not all houses have foundations that can take the extra load of the heavy use a living space would put on it.
17:09 For a sec, i thot it was Brad Pitt 🤣🤣🤣
Did they keep a door to the basement?? Hope so 🤪🤪
What is the soundrack used for this renovation?
im turning into mom.
♡
That general contractor was kinda hot ;)

Liverbird 55 she really wanted to make her house warmer more then the space

Wheres the table to eat at
18:24 on the right
*Jesus Christ loves you all ❤*
they still didnt have room for a dining table for that family time they wanted. that house was so small & configured so weird.
My good.... the team is SO American, and so busy flashing them selves.....
But anyway.... this family get a good helping hand🤗
Of COURSE it's "SO American;" it's an American show, made here in America, with American contractors and builders...why the foolish statement in that regard????
Totally unnecessary comment.
What about the attic?
