Thank you.It is a fact that in swiss army knives we find the most functions of many different multitools, even though swiss army knives have a vintage design
I don't own a SAK with this combotool but still I enjoyed watching the ingenious ways you used it for 14 minutes! What is good about your demos here is that you specifically show people how to use it in a way that doesn't put too much strain on it or the knife as a whole. Personally I prefer the 2 openers layer...but still I learned a couple of tricks on how to use the wire bender, this is also in the bottle opener / cap lifter.
I also prefer the two separate classic tools, but some friends have the combo tool in their SAK and I think this video will be useful for them. On my channel there are also similar videos about the screwdriver and the lace opener. Thank you, Greetings from Greece.
@@nikgyver7 Yes for sure, like I said I still watched it all and enjoyed it, even though I don't own a combotool. So thanks for making this vid and keep up the good work man!. Greetings from UK
I love this combo tool, for me it works better as can opener and screwdriver than the regular Victorinox can opener. One problem I do have with it, is that it's so thin because it occupies mini-knife's space.
The only advantage I see with the combo tool is the speed of opening cans. In my experience its faster to open towards you. But there is one big but. Is the combo Tools abillity as a Phillips tool as good as the 2D Phillips on the normal can opener? This function is what I use the most. The cap lifter I only use to pry and once in a while as a wire stripper(and thats just for the heck of it). Since you can open a Bottle with almost Everything (including a newspaper ) I would have loved if it was substituted by something more usefull. My dream would be magnfying lens. But I belive the current option is to thick. Btw. I carry the Spartan and I love the cork screw 😃.
Actually the combo tool helps to keep the knife very light and small in volume. The video is for the owners of a model with the combo tool, good know how to use it.My choice is the Swiss Champ which has the two standard tools. Thanks
I saw the jelly jar and thought "I use it for that too!" 😂 But no, I use the non-combo version it to stretch the lid slightly when lids are too tight to open. It works great. No jar cannot be opened using that tool.
Actually the combo tool can be used to open the lid of a jar, but I didn't have a sealed lid to demonstrate this. I had shown this idea in a previous video, thanks. th-cam.com/video/5flYGw8djLI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eE3ts538AflpQl_p
Thank you. Both are very handy knives. The standard flat head screwdriver is more durable tool for pry tasks. Also it is possible to fit a bit driver mod on the standart flat head. But if you need a lighter knife the compact it will be your choice.

Of course the standard tools(flat head screwdriver, can opener) can do the same and a little better job, but if you want a small size and lighter knife this tool will cover your needs. Thank you.
200% agree! I always prefer 3 layers knife with 2 blades, 2 openers with useful screwdrivers, + scissors. Awl on back side of jar and bottle openers is also very useful tool. The price of 3-layer Climber upgraded with pen scale + little SD for corkscrew = the price of 2-layer Compact. As for me - Climber is much better...

I've been watching and enjoying your videos for years. Please be more careful when recording audio as the distortion, birds, wind and general noise made your voice much much more difficult to listen to and understand. There's ZERO reason to have recorded this particular part of the video outdoors. PS : The wire stripper notch is designed to be used with the tool at 90deg and blade almost closed on top of the wire. Rotate the wire 360deg then pull towards the combo tool.
I understand about the recording, I'm sorry, but I live in the countryside and unfortunately I don't have another available recording point for the video. I do all the possible actions for the sound processing and in the total result in the video processing the sound of the birds does not seem to it covers my voice. The angle of using the wire stripper also depends on the size of the wire, but it sure works very well under the right angle, thanks
That is what makes Swiss Army Knives the most useful pocket tool ever designed.👍
Thank you.It is a fact that in swiss army knives we find the most functions of many different multitools, even though swiss army knives have a vintage design
Thank you for showing all the thinks that you can do with a Victorinox Compact. Never thought about some of them
The swiss army knives are very popular because they have too many functions for their size, they are extremely useful. Thank you.

Yes,the original one it works better as a pry tool because it's thicker than the combo tool.Thanks.
Wow I'd never seen using the blade in combination with the wire cutter, cool!
it's an idea that can work on models with few layers, not on thick models, thanks.
Brillante démonstation ! :)
Thank you.I am sure that you have many SAK with the combo tool.
Extremely helpful. Thanks.

Awesome, what knife model is that...?
That's a Compact
Looks like walker/lumberjack.Compact has a corkscrew
Thank you.It is the old lumberjack. Now called ''walker''.
Yes it is the old lumberjack, thanks.
The small flathead from the can opener is sacrificed tho'
Great video 🙏🏽
Thank you.
Nice video! Thanks, Nikos!!!maybe i will give another chance to my Compact, and let rest my old Climber.

If you get a piece of rope or a rod shaped object like a twig or a pen, you can stick it through the keyring and use it like a makeshift T-wrench
