The 16g version (limited edition) of this string is fantastic, I get about 15hrs or a month worth out of it. Kirschbaum max power 16g is also nice sand underrated, slightly stiffer and has a slight adjustment period but worth it totally for playability and longevity
woo new video, keep em coming 😁 thanks for the effort! whats your opinion on ice code? im considering a reel before i buy a set, cuz its way more cost effective for me
What's your go to string currently? One of my friends is way in on Ice Code but I wasn't blown away. I still have it one of my rackets. More power than Alu but not as a nice a feel or control. Seems to be holding tension and play ability though.
@@brianbollmantennis Used to use Cyclone alot but now deviating to thinner gauges because i switched to 18x20 pattern, where as i been using 16x19 for a long time - now currently using tour bite 1.15mm , but considering ice code for my other racquets with more open pattern
Great review video Brian. Can you do a review of Topspin Cyber Flash Silver and comment on how it compares to Alu Power. I know its an older string (generation) but many of it's users state that it's like a poor man's Luxilon AP.
I will add it to the list. I might actually have a set already. I'm switching rackets so it's going to be a couple months before I resume reviews so I'm not colored by the racket. Typhoon by Genesis is pretty close to ALU in my opinion.
@@grandslamstrings I actually don't have them yet but I'm transitioning from the older model Aero Pro (2013). I tried one of the first iterations of the Pure Aero and absolutely hated it so hopefully the Tecnifibre is ok. I assume I'll like Hyper-G in it. That string always delivers for me.
I have this at 52 and 50, like it better at 50...seems a lot stiffer than the Kirschbaum Pro Line Evolution 17 (1.25), have you tried that string? www.kirschbaumusa.com/product-category/pro-line/pro-line-evolution/

Another great video from one of the best! You could not have explained it better. Excellent strings too.

@@brianbollmantennis looking forward to your opinion on the play test. what racquet are you switching to, is it the new Tecnifibre TF40?
@@grandslamstrings Yup that's the plan. The 305 and then I might add some lead if need be.
@@brianbollmantennis that's a nice transition from the Pure Aero (imo), better feel & quicker through the air. Which strings do you like in it so far?

Best string but because I hit flat and hard, it lasts about 12 hours of play. Then it sucks. But those first hours it beats everything hands down
Best poly for me. Fond tension last long. Ive tried most
how long does it last after hard hitting? I think you are using the 16l gauge.
How about it's soft version
It's an excellent string, but its excellence does not last long even if it lasts a long time.

Softer strings hurt my arm more than anything. Especially lowering tensions!
You kept on talking i didn't even see the string how it looks like🤷♂️
