    Thank you so much, Luca! I'm using a Head Speed Mp Legend 2024 strung with Head Lynx Tour 1.20mm black. As you mentioned, the best combination that I EVER tried. Lynx Tour makes the Speed play almost like a pro staff, everything is tight, massive control and precision, I didn't felt almost no inconsistency. I put the ball wherever I wanted in every single shot, without sacrificing the natural spin and power of the racquet. The launch angle of the ball was very controlled too. It is a dream combo.

    Great vid. Would be good to get a future video of polys that have the best tension maintenance. I think tension maintenance is an under-rated spec for rec players who don’t have time to get thier racquets restrung constantly. I know guts and multis are much better in this area, but I’d still like a vid on polys

    Ok. Mate you are great. You are so spot on. I have the same specific feel with wasabi. I don’t like shaped strings in general but wasabi despite being shaped it plays closer to a soft round string. It’s very smooth on contact. It’s not aggressive on byte like those ultra shaped solinco strings…. it’s soft and plush. Despite being a little bit muted it offers great predictability and control. This string has amazed me the most from toroline and more than wasabi pro and enso pro and k pop which i didnt like it much because of its firm/stiff response. Wasabi is great. The hype is real. And i know what i am talking about cause my main string is 4G ❤

    Thank you for a great video as always! I'm having a little dilemma regarding my new racket - I've been playing tennis for 8-9 months and a few months ago I bought Babolat Pure Aero 2023. Sometimes I really enjoy its power and spin but other times I had a feeling that maybe something with more control and feel will be better to me so I've tested out around 15 rackets this week from all brands and my favourite ones were Head Speed MP (great bh&fh, but not much power while serving), Speed Pro (great power at serving but couldn't control my bh&fhs like with the MP, my groundstokes basically couln't stop flying and kept ending up way behind the line), Gravity MP (I really liked that one too, it has more power while serving but I liked bh&fhs more with Speed) Gravity Tour (I liked the MP more) and Pure Drive 98 (great bh&fh, no power while serving).
    So actually today I've already purchased Speed MP Legend as I really enjoyed playing forehands and backhand using it but I would love it to have more power while serving like Speed Pro or my Aero 100 2023. Could you recommend any string from whatever manufacturer that would increase the power on serves without loosing control and feel on bh&fhs?
    And not sure if it's wise but maybe I'll also buy the Gravity MP as it was very close to Speed MP, I definitely liked serves using it more that with Speed, and if I decided to buy it too - do you think if I customize it to make it eg. 10g heavier would that make forehands and backhands as good as with Speed MP + with that additional power on serves?
    Thanks in advance for your help :)

    I wanted your suggestion on the best Solinco poly string set up for someone who puts a premium on pocketing and feel and still wants good spin and control. I am currently playing exclusively doubles with a Babolat Pure Aero - so a set-up that compliments that racquet string pattern and stiffness would be ideal. I am not opposed to using thinner gauge polys or poly hybrids to get the desired playability. I tend to like to play at lower tensions to open up the sweetspot and increase ball feel. I am currently bouncing back and forth between a full bed of Tour Bite Soft 18; Hyper-G 19; and Hyper-G soft 17 - all strung at 40 lbs.
    Is there another string or hybrid you think I should try? What would you personally recommend?

    Another great video Luca. Please keep up with string content as I can’t afford to replace my racquet very often (Plus I love my Ezone 100) but strings are fun to play around with. Will you be getting the new Toroline O Toro string. I agree I like Wasabi for massive spin and soft feel, and Cavier for firmer feel but good control, spin and power. Maybe O toro is in between? I have to admit though I like the muted dampened feel, but I do like a solid sound, and Wasabi is a bit plasticy as you say.

      It’s a multifilament so hard to compare directly to the polys in the list.
      I use it occasionally in the crosses to soften up the stringbed. Compared to full poly, the velocity cross is surprisingly lower powered, but unsurprisingly it leads to less spin and the strings don’t snap back after about 30mins.

    What string gauge is your default? 16 or 17? Do you have a favorite poundage for the GUT & ALU combo?

    I am now trying Kirschbaum gut in the Mains and 4G Soft in the crosses. Alu Power is losing tension very quickly.

    Hi Luca, in a hybrid setup why not the poly on the mains and natural gut in the crosses? My guess Is that you could gain spin potential and keep the feel of gut. What do you think?

    How many would buy Wasabi if it were gray? And how many would recommend it if they weren’t selling it? I am skeptical.

      It's not the perfect string but it's really good at what it's supposed to do.

    I've always stayed away from RPM Blast and RPM Blast Rough b/c they are not known for their tension maintenance. I was curious seeing Rough so high on this list b/c, even though it outlasts ALU Power, it has the same drawback of poor tension maintenance as ALU Power.

      No one uses the Origin other than Rafa. It's such a specifically speced out racket it really only works for his game.

    I've only hit with poly string once and didn't like the feel. Could I cross poly and multifilament for a better feel? Any specific combos you'd recommend? Noticed you didn't mention multifilament at all. Is there a reason for that? Thanks!

      I personally don't like the non-snappy feel of multis but it sounds like you'll appreciate the more plush feel they provide. Head Hawk Touch crossed with Head Velocity is one of our most popular hybrids.

    Thank you Luca for making this video about strings. It helps me a lot as I am still figuring which strings to try or stick to. Btw, it is not related to the video but do you have any recommendations for wide and flat feet. I try Asics Gel Resolution Wide 2E version and I still experience some discomfort in the area around the arch (middle of the foot) after 20-30 minutes of running continuously around the court.

      Give the New Balance CT-Rally a shot. It's very wide and extremely comfortable all-around.

    Hey Luca, I feel like I share the same taste in strings as you, I'm using the graphene touch speed mp 2017 (Sinner's mold) , do you have any recommendations for strings on it? also when you said "bite" with the hyper g, is that feeling like dwell time on the racket? Is the feel on hyper g also good or not really.

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's more like an extra sensation of grip over the ball so just a slightly higher launch angle. I really like Hawk Touch in that one actually - basically Sinner's setup at a lower tension and lower swingweight.

    Hi Luka! Can you please recommend couple of rackets for ntrp player 3.0, going to 3.5
    My thoughts, 98 is a little bit small sweet spot for my skills right now, at other side I don’t want to change the racket too often. May be it’s time to change to 98, and improve technique? Or don’t be hurry and play with 100..
    Now I’m playing Babolat pure aero team 2017 . 300 gram / 100
    I’m 185 cm height, 95 kilos
    Tennis experience- 1 year (current ntrp 3.0)
    Thank you! Appreciate for your feedback!

      Go the route of a constant beam 100. You'll get more control but it won't be too difficult to use. The Speed MP is perfect!

    Ah, natural gut and Alu rough, the Federer and Djokovic set up! You’re in good company. What polly would you suggest to pair with Alu rough in a radical mp? Also, definitely yes to the racket string pair video!! Include the radical mp on that list.

  • @pro71
    @pro71 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Only draw back of natural gut other than it is expensive is that it notches pretty quick and if you play on clay it looses some of its playability even quicker. Otherwise I would agree that it’s the best coupled with Alu power rough
