The only issue is the game would break if you tried to get out of the car while in the tunnel. I don't think that at the time they could've come up with an elegant solution to that problem

I always loved how the pink Cadillac is hidden and you have to reverse out of the planethype, I thank Hans Moleman for giving us this awesome secret vehicle.
I never discovered the Planet Hype Car when I had this as a kid. I only found it years later when I decided to boot up the game for nostalgia. It's definitely my favourite car as well, followed by the Knight Boat Car. Did you know that if you hold the emergency brake and accelerate at the same time, the tires set on fire and you leave a flaming streak when you go? A few cars do this but the Planet Hype Car does it the easiest.
Something fun you dont know; the monster truck is actually useable in barts level as well. Since the map is the same the developers HAVE to hide that truck in it so it appears in APU's level. If you can manage to glitch thru that platform in the earlier level (or use a cheat disk such as gameshark or codebreaker) to be able to walk through walls, the truck is hidden inside that platform.
The best part about the RC Car is when you use it with the Car Horn Jump Cheat (+Invincibility of course) Since the RC's Hitbox is really small, it's extremely easy to go out of bounds with it after using the car horn
The 50’s car in Bart’s second mission was the only hidden car I couldn’t find back in the day. Me and my cousin looked everywhere and we still didn’t see it. We had a race for the first person to find the hidden car. He left the room for some reason and I cheated. I used a pay phone to get a Duff Truck, parked it in Duff World, when he came back I showed him and he hated me for it. I only discovered where the actual hidden car was, years later on TH-cam. I felt so dumb.
I’m not sure if I’m having a Mandela Effect rn, but I swear there were times where if you back the car out of the hole, Hans Moleman will pop out of the hole.
To be honest, i missed the Planet Car so many times that i didnt realized it was drivable, i wanted to look for it but i didnt find it cuz i knew it appears in Circuit Mode driven by AIs, until i watched one of the episodes that Homer and Marge walk by Planet Hype and Hans Moleman was trapped there and i said... Of course!! How can i freaking missed that!?? Then finally grab it and have a lot of fun on driving it
TBH, I'm pretty sure I found the Pink Caddy by seeing the break in the wall in Lisa's level and thinking "Hmm, I think there's going to be a secret car there" and remembering the Episode "My Sister the Sitter", in particular, the part where Hans Moleman was calling for help while in the caddy.
I 100% completed the game it's worth it For those that don't know 100%ing the game let's you use every car in the game on any level even the cars that didn't make it into the story mode But to use all the cars you need to enter the code *circle x circle x* then go to a phone booth and press r1 then enjoy Hope I helped :D EDIT: it's circle x circle x, triangle x triangle x is invincibility
The rocket car is the only car or anything I can remember doing in this game as a kid and seeing it on this list really warmed me up from the memories of playing this when I was younger

My list: Worst to best. 7: Monorail. Yeah, it sucks. 6: Planet Hype Classic Car. No real memories of it. Just didn't use it that much. Maybe that'll change when I play the game again. 5: Rocket car. Very fast, but too fragile. 4: RC Car. For awhile, I attempted driving the nuclear waste barrel to the schoolyard with this one. Lots of fun, but not ideal for missions. 3: ATV. Some of the missions were doable, and I just had a blast driving it around. 2: Monster Truck. You can destroy the cop cars with this one. So much fun destroying everything. 1: The Boat. Good all round car. I wound up doing a lot of the missions with this car.

The pink caddy was my favorite secret car in the game. IMO I believed it was the most balanced secret car in the game. When I tell you I looked pass this car so many times when I was younger i did just that. It’s sits out like a sore thumb but it’s so easy to not notice it
i remember getting mad at the game because they had these secret cars in every level except 6 i was like why would they leave it out of the best level? but after years of owning the game when i learned the car did exist and it was in the most cleverly hidden spot in a way that ties in with the show, i was pretty amazed by that. why would they make all the other cars so easy to find by comparison? my favorite car though is probably the monorail just because compared to the rest it references the most iconic episode and it handles so poorly as you'd expect it would based on the episode. if you're judging the cars by how well they're hidden and how they handle it deserves last place, but I judge it based on how recognizable it is from the show, so my top two are monorail and 50's Cadillac

When I was kid the only secret car that I haven't found was the pink Cadillac.. I searched every place so much times but never find. I discovered the location when I start using internet XD
Right after the introduction to this video, I paused it, predicted the whole list out loud from my experience with these cars based on practicality and usability, and I had it almost exactly right. The only difference is that I put the rocket car at number five under the monster truck. Everything else was in the exact order I had. This is the game I've run through and messed around with the second most after Ocarina of Time, so I'm overly familiar with all of these. I did a couple missions and the Smithers bonus mission with the RC car, but it was a challenge, and I did the Hover Car mission with the Monster Truck a few times, but the Cadillac is the only one I do serious missions well with. I also have to pull up "Pink Cadillac" by Bruce Springsteen whenever I first get to it and pull it out at level 6.
my only gripe with the planet hype car is it verse of the the left slightly and I think knightboat also does this, and the real best secret car is the Ice cream truck!
How about a top 10 pedestrian cars? They may not be the strongest or fastest available, but some are pretty cool. My favorite is probably the Witch Broom Car.
2 fun things you can do in Hit and Run. You can only do this on the first level. Get the rocket car. Not Barts but the level secret vehicle. Input the immortal vehicle cheat and the car jump when pressing the horn. Get to on top of the gas station. Pull back as far as possible without falling off and line up perfectly straight. Then input super fast vehicle cheat. The blast off and when flying off honk horn and you will land on the moon. Drive really fast on the moon and hit the 1 bunk on the moon and do the horn again and land on the sun. You can drive all across the entire sun its a solid surface. I weirded a friend out. So turns out the sun may have been parts to a potential 8th or 9th mission. A space mission along with the moon being a space mission as well hens you can actually drive on the moon but only a little bit but the sun is literally a ball you can drive on without any issues. Honking the horn jump on the sun does not get you off the sun. You are trapped on the sun but saving and reloaded lands you back on the regular map you can not save and re enter the sun or the moon unless using the cheats set up. To get to the sun you have to perfectly do the jump from the moon. The Sun may have been used as a driving test to see how vehicles function on it. You can even drive destroyed vehicles on it or anything if you can get them to have the same speed but I doubt you can do it with anything other than rocket car. The ground on the sun has no friction and even at a full stop your car starts moving on its own and getting out is dangerous because the planet is a sphere so you get run over by your own car without you in it.
You know the best thing about this cars? When you complete the game a 100% this one gives you a code which gives you access to all of the cars, including the secret ones
Id never found by miself the boat in level 3, always wondered where was the secret car in level 3, because i founded the secret cars of other levels without any problem
The Rocket Car is so fragile that, I swear, not even the invincibility cheat code nor invincibility from a cheat trainer kept the car from exploding. 7:59 "It freaking has a *Blue Flame* coming out the back of it" I mean it's modelled after the Blue Flame that set the Land Speed Record.
Because of this video I on purpose when back and played the game to get the remaining hidden vehicles I couldn't get. The number one pick, Bart in level 6, is just awesome!
In defense of the rocket car, I'm pretty sure it's a tease. I feel like the dev's put it in there to spark the curiosity of everyone by showing that "This is how fast later cars can get." while not giving it to them that long.
But then on the last level the amazing Laramie f1 car is available to purchase and still to me is the best car in the whole game insanely fast and amazing handling just a same it was so weak and could easily be blown up, but I guess that is where the invincibility cheat comes in useful!!

This is my first time watching simpsons hit and run. I haven’t played this game in like 14 years, I remember when this was my first game and forgot about the game in a while, btw my favourite secret car was monster truck one.
i think the worst by far is either the RC car or monorail, okay so the RC car is fun nippy and cool but its bad at driving you hit anything and it's going to spin out and just be bad, the other one is the monorail, cool to see but by gods is it slow and hard to stear, i guess best car is either the knight boat based on the 80's classic tv show knightrider, or the planet hype 50's car, that is cool but eh, the other ones are okay but those two its hard to chose but i'd have to say knightboat just cus i love the show with kitt

I found the Planet Hype Cadillac by sheer accident as a kid. I had grabbed the card and was jumping down, landed on it, and the game was giving me the Press Y prompt to get in. I thought it was a gag and had a laugh when I found I could drive the car!
See, everything you said about the Level 6 car is what I think about for the (In)visible Boatmobile. Mainly, the super fun and unique design is what wins me over. EDIT: Why can't the nifty font shortcuts every work for me on mobile, dang it?
Never knew about number 1 and 2 I was young and TH-cam wasn't really a thing to me so it's actually amazing that their are cars I've never used in my probably 200+ hours on this game
I found it first time because it was a reference to Hans Moleman crashing it into that very building. I didn't know you could drive it until got on top of the building by mistake.
The RC car would have been even better if there was a secret tunnel in the map that was either a massive shortcut or took you to a secret room.

There’s an eighth secret car only accesible through a cheat code. It will replace the regular secret car in each level. It is the Red Brick Racer.

I did not explore the city enough when I played it, I didn't know that Bum's solid gold house was in the game let alone his car.

my only gripe with the planet hype car is it verse of the the left slightly and I think knightboat also does this, and the real best secret car is the Ice cream truck!
theres technically 8 hidden cars, including the red brick car which can only be accessed with a cheat

How about a top 10 pedestrian cars? They may not be the strongest or fastest available, but some are pretty cool. My favorite is probably the Witch Broom Car.

2 fun things you can do in Hit and Run. You can only do this on the first level. Get the rocket car. Not Barts but the level secret vehicle. Input the immortal vehicle cheat and the car jump when pressing the horn. Get to on top of the gas station. Pull back as far as possible without falling off and line up perfectly straight. Then input super fast vehicle cheat. The blast off and when flying off honk horn and you will land on the moon. Drive really fast on the moon and hit the 1 bunk on the moon and do the horn again and land on the sun. You can drive all across the entire sun its a solid surface. I weirded a friend out. So turns out the sun may have been parts to a potential 8th or 9th mission. A space mission along with the moon being a space mission as well hens you can actually drive on the moon but only a little bit but the sun is literally a ball you can drive on without any issues. Honking the horn jump on the sun does not get you off the sun. You are trapped on the sun but saving and reloaded lands you back on the regular map you can not save and re enter the sun or the moon unless using the cheats set up. To get to the sun you have to perfectly do the jump from the moon. The Sun may have been used as a driving test to see how vehicles function on it. You can even drive destroyed vehicles on it or anything if you can get them to have the same speed but I doubt you can do it with anything other than rocket car. The ground on the sun has no friction and even at a full stop your car starts moving on its own and getting out is dangerous because the planet is a sphere so you get run over by your own car without you in it.
Well…the rocket car CAN be invincible if you use the cheat code but….why would you cheat this game…
I really like the idea of doing NPC/pedestrian cars! I back it up completely.
I sunk tons of hours into the game and never once realized that the monorail only slides when turning right.

You know the best thing about this cars? When you complete the game a 100% this one gives you a code which gives you access to all of the cars, including the secret ones

Id never found by miself the boat in level 3, always wondered where was the secret car in level 3, because i founded the secret cars of other levels without any problem
The Rocket Car is so fragile that, I swear, not even the invincibility cheat code nor invincibility from a cheat trainer kept the car from exploding.
7:59 "It freaking has a *Blue Flame* coming out the back of it" I mean it's modelled after the Blue Flame that set the Land Speed Record.
Because of this video I on purpose when back and played the game to get the remaining hidden vehicles I couldn't get. The number one pick, Bart in level 6, is just awesome!
In defense of the rocket car, I'm pretty sure it's a tease.
I feel like the dev's put it in there to spark the curiosity of everyone by showing that "This is how fast later cars can get." while not giving it to them that long.
But then on the last level the amazing Laramie f1 car is available to purchase and still to me is the best car in the whole game insanely fast and amazing handling just a same it was so weak and could easily be blown up, but I guess that is where the invincibility cheat comes in useful!!

There’s a cheat code in the gamecube version of this game which makes the rocket car invincibility. This makes it even more fun.

This is my first time watching simpsons hit and run. I haven’t played this game in like 14 years, I remember when this was my first game and forgot about the game in a while, btw my favourite secret car was monster truck one.
I was never able to find the Knight Boat when I was younger so until I found it I thought level 3 just didn't have a secret vehicle.
i think the worst by far is either the RC car or monorail,
okay so the RC car is fun nippy and cool but its bad at driving you hit anything and it's going to spin out and just be bad, the other one is the monorail, cool to see but by gods is it slow and hard to stear, i guess best car is either the knight boat based on the 80's classic tv show knightrider, or the planet hype 50's car, that is cool but eh,
the other ones are okay but those two its hard to chose but i'd have to say knightboat just cus i love the show with kitt

The Knight boat drives like... a boat. And it feels kinda stiff. The rocket car is way too fragile. The obliteration truck can be hard to control sometimes but it's more fun than the others imo

The rocket car is a great car, it just requires a lot of skill and practice to use it well. With proper handling it can beat even level 7 missions.

For hidden cars I'd say they are all fun. What a great game.
Yeah still love it today, I love that the only vehicle you could drive into mr burns office was the quad bike as it was small enough to go up the stairs

I found the Planet Hype Cadillac by sheer accident as a kid. I had grabbed the card and was jumping down, landed on it, and the game was giving me the Press Y prompt to get in. I thought it was a gag and had a laugh when I found I could drive the car!
The monorail being shit is more accurate considering it’s basically a massive scam in that episode
See, everything you said about the Level 6 car is what I think about for the (In)visible Boatmobile.
Mainly, the super fun and unique design is what wins me over.

Never knew about number 1 and 2 I was young and TH-cam wasn't really a thing to me so it's actually amazing that their are cars I've never used in my probably 200+ hours on this game
I would argue that Homer's car is the worst pink secret hidden car. Worse than the Monorail.
I always thought the RC car was a fever dream from my childhood.
I found it first time because it was a reference to Hans Moleman crashing it into that very building. I didn't know you could drive it until got on top of the building by mistake.
