Absolutely, you should seem play Kevin Lewis in this independent low budget drama called The Kid 2010. And then after seeing him portray Kevin, watch Kevin Lewis himself. The mannerisms, voice the way he carries himself, its uncanny.
If Rupert Friend doesn't get an Emmy for season 6 of Homeland, that whole award show should be cancelled. They way he is portraying his character with mental problems after a stroke....its just brilliant.

I love the show, love both of these actors in it, but to me, Carrie ruins it!! I cannot stand all those faces she makes. Her and Kirsten Stewart both turn my stomach to watch them, but the show is so good and so riveting that I have to put up with her because, obviously, it's the only way to see the show.
i just discovered this show, on Hulu. With the last season, Claire Danes shows her breasts to a hacker...I turned it off that very minute and have not returned....disappointing. I think Rupert is awesome!

I continued to watch Homeland because of Rupert Friend. He's just so captivating. So cool.
He had this chance to interpret a true dark hero, and he totally nailed. I feel sorry for Peter very much even until today.

I just binge watched all of Homelands....omg...I didn't realize it was THAT good! I was riveted! I so wanted Carrie and Quinn to be together....but she missed the boat so many times. Quinn so deserved some happiness after all that he went through. The sarin poison bit was especially hard to watch...man...
I started watching because of Claire, she doesn't have much decent works decent jobs under her belt,kept going because of mr. Friend. He has criminally low recognition in the cinema. I gather he works in theatre a lot, but the world should really fall in love with him. Truly bright talent and amazing personality.

I finally binged on "Homeland". I had no idea about Rupert, but he was so brilliantlty "bad-ass" & could also be so believably kind. Outstanding! What a truly gifted actor. I have gone on to catch his other work in films and television. I highly recommend that anyone who enjoys great stories with superb acting do this as well. This " semi well kept secret" deserves to break away from the pack & be the next " James Bond". A smart, young.gifted man.
At first I was relieved seeing him, I had grown so attached to Quinn’s character, seeing the actor alive was a kind of consolation. Mind fuck when he starts speaking in a very different accent (even though it’s very sexy!)
He would be an incredible Bond. He's one of the most amazing actors out there. Idris would be great too, but is a bit older now and it would be good to have a younger guy and Rupert is brilliant.
I respect this guy for the way he talks about acting. He seems really thoughtful and seems to really love what he does!
It's not an ego thing or selfish as he says and just a job, that he does well.

Just fin watching season 6 of Homeland and Rupert was absolutely amazing playing Peter Quinn, the assassin who always tried to protect Carrie. Very heartbreaking scenes in Berlin and afterwards, I even sobbed. Amazing actor, we not onto season 7 yet. I'm not sure I want to venture on without Quinn in it.

Peter Quinn was such a badass...even half crippled with aphasia, he still out thought & outfoxed a SWAT team & numerous black op professionals...he was always five steps ahead of everyone & made Jason Bourne look feeble...
Ohhh he was wonderful as Quinn and his work in season 6 was exceptional. No idea he was English! And he's so right about people from Oxfordshire calling it the Shire as well!!

Her other friend, the IT specialist's death was heart breaking and Carrie suddenly realised she didn't value him they way she should have!!!

@@catherinetighe7813 There was a lot of truth in the way Carrie behaved towards people. The back story was that she was Saul's protege, which essentially meant using anyone and everyone to get the job done. Max was an easy touch. That's how intelligence operatives are.
I can't believe Rupert is British. I'm British and Rupert half sounds like an American putting on a British accent and half like Daniel Radcliff. This is brilliant! I can't get over how good his american accent is on the show.

I've never seen "Homeland," but I've seen Rupert Friend in a lot of other things and became a fan - I had no idea he was on American TV. For those of you who haven't seen it, you should check out "Cheri" - a movie he did with Michelle Pfeiffer.

I just binge-watched the whole of Homeland again. It was my favorite series, along with Breaking Bad. (a perfect morality tale) My god, how Homeland fits today's world! It was terrifying. I was so impressed with Rupert Friend I had to check to see that he got an Emmy. I couldn't believe he hadn't. He was amazing. I don't have much interest in actors' lives, I just want to see them on the screen without any baggage. I didn't even know he was English. I was even more impressed. I was happy to see all of these great comments. I hope he knows what an impression he made.

Oxfordshire isn't that 'thick' an accent at all, compared to other places like in the North, Wales or Scotland. It's called RP - received pronunciation. Standard accent.
The way he speaks is really quite posh and totally clear. When I hear an accent described as "thick" I expect to hear working class whether from London or Brooklyn.
