What you left out about the c Corp is that there's also whats called a statutory close corporation and the formalities as far as board meetings and minutes isnt highly necessary as with a regular c Corp. Only in particular states one being Wyoming.

A single member LLC is the same as a sole proprietor as far as the IRS concern so you really don't get any protection
