This is why I love Vivian. She's actually out there making a living from crochet, so she gives real world advice that you can actually use. I'm so sorry that happened to you Vivian, but I am glad you know how you're going to pivot. Thank you so much for sharing so that other crafters can look out for organizers like this!
totally agree with you it is very uncomfortable for shoppers to be faced with booths that sell the same things next to each other and yes I would walk away and not shop with either of them. Your booth setups are always beautiful and your customer service is perfect, I learn so much from watching you work
OMG, I had the same thing happen with me. It was a very big event and well known too. I paid $500 for a day - it was a themed street fair. And the booth next too me was selling hair accessories too. Just like me. Both of us were really upset and frustrated, but the organisers did not relocate any one of us. Lesson learnt.
8:57 😮 that’s crazy coincidence because you have such variety 😮 so frustrating - you even have a website and TH-cam they should’ve looked y’all up 😢 before planning.
my first ever market i got there the earliest i could be there, first person there started setting up, the event person put another crochet right next to me, she had more clothes but also sold what i sold, so she moved to a father spot, then another crochet person got put right next to her. I dont think the event people understand lol
Vivian that sucks so bad and you have every right to be upset but keep your head up because your creativity through your products and the spirit you have is unmatched. There is nobody like you and we all see that every time you post a video.
Oh my goodness, our cats would come running any time we opened a can of spam! They'd eat it right from your mouth if you didn't work to keep them away!
So sorry about what happened. Thank you for sharing your experience and your lessons learned. All taken into consideration for when i do my markets. Love your package strategies too. Wish you well for your next market❤❤❤
sorry to hear this didn't go well for you. I've heard a lot of stories of vendors being placed next to similar stalls and it really is up to the event staff to make sure that doesn't happen. It must be so frustrating when you've already paid for it too ❤
That’s crazy!! They should never put two of the same booth right next to eachother. Thats so frustrating I’m sorry that happened. I’ll be going to my first market soon at the flea market and selling my crochet plushies I hope it goes smoothly. I know what to look for now and how to prepare so thank you🫶🏻
Hey I know exactly how you feel I thought that it would be a much better turn out as well and I'm glad that even though they sat us right next to each other at first we both at least got some sales with barely anyone there... I figured you were just really shy lol you win some you loose some but now we know better for next time I loved meeting you in person😊
Last thing, although you may be upset this also happened so you can help the people that watch you who are trying to do what you do. Your helping them by being transparent and sharing what can happen

That’s what I’m sayinggggg. When we applied, we filled out a form and list our products too. Somehow they still place us next to each other

I don’t know why but I love the scenes where you share what you’re cooking 😅 and I’m sorry that happened to your market. :( 💕
Was it possibly slow because people are on vacation? My local farmers markets have been thin the past weeks because everyone is going on trips.

I think many corcheters are trying to have the same business too.
