Thanks, great video! I would not have taken this on without your help. I have a few comments for anyone else considering this. I thought my problem was something other than the bags because the truck would sit parked for a month sometimes without squatting at all; so I figured it was a valve that seats properly sometimes but leaks other times. I replaced the valves and the problem still existed. Once i took out the bags I could see some pinhole leaks in one, which must have sealed up sometimes and leaked other times. So even if you are "squatting" just every now and then, it's probably best to start with replacing the bags. I never would have thought I could squeeze my hand in to remove the clips from the top but I was able to feel my way to them and wiggle them out, and back in again after (if it came to it I think I could have removed the liner in the wheel wells to get at them). The bottom parts of the bags were fused to the frame with rust but based on the video i knew they must be separate so I banged away until they started to move and pried them off. Disconnecting the hoses was difficult, I had to pick at the plastic catches to get them moving, then push and wiggle the tool and just keep trying, then once I'd paid the price of frustration the repair gods stepped in and suddenly the tool went in and the hose came out. Putting everything back together was easy without the rust and dirt demons to deal with. In the end it all worked out and I'm very happy to have the truck back to normal.
My compressor did not come on and air the new suspension up do you know how to do the reset. I tried the 8 brake pumps with acc. On and didn’t work. Do you know the pin out on the OBDII to reset it?
Thanks! Let us know how the repair goes. We went with the OEM replacement. discountparts.fredhaastoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-air-suspension-compressor-left-right-rear-4808034010
yes, mine has the squats 🥲😳along with violent bouncing. I have new struts and new shocks, new control arm bushings and sway links. Could there be a leak in the system or do I need new bags?
The symptom is that when you start the truck you’ll hear the compressor run and see the rear level out. Then the next morning it will be squatting again. While the leak could be in a line or coupling I don’t this that is as common. I feel like the lines are pretty durable being hard plastic. By far it is more common for the bags to develop pin hole leaks. I think all the bags go bad eventually.
I have replaced all air suspension parts from the dealer. Still looses all air when parked. They said they sprayed all lines for leaks. Not sure what to do.
@@jeykobee32 no updates. Still loses all air when parked. Fills right up when started. I hate it but not sure what else to do. The Toyota dealership here is the worst and they don’t know what to do.
@@adamjohnson2642 Figures... does yours get to the point where even the manual button won't work? I'll try to adjust it, but it sticks on "Manual LO" and then it will miraculously work again after a day or so. It seems like it goes with the weather too (cold it stops working, warm it will work). If it gets any worse over the next month, I think I will definitely convert it once it's warmer.

Great! I'm glad you fixed it.
Thanks for this awesome viedeo
Any insight on swapping bags for springs to lift the truck can’t find much info on that.
Never done that but join and ask the Toyota Sequoia Club on Facebook facebook.com/groups/ToyotaSequoiaClub/?ref=share&mibextid=5eVWNK
Is resetting the compressor required? I heard that bumping the brake 8 times does so.
We didn't have to do anything like that. Once the new bags were installed we started the truck and they inflated to level and stopped.
Is it also the same with bmw x5 rear airbag suspension, like you fix the airbag and then connect airflow to inflate the bag?

What brand air bags did you go with? I need to do mine. Great video!

@@TwinTreesChannel thanks I'll be taking it in tomorrow to see if bags can be found. I only found air leveling kit online, with O'reillys-
I’m having the exact same issue! Just discovered my air bag has a small tear near the clamped

Any update? I'm thinking about doing the conversion kit from strut masters.

Jake Hartzell Any update I have the same problem
😳🤬--darnit. were you getting violent bouncing riding on the bump stops ? like I am, even after new shocks and struts..
What was the cost on the parts?
Great can you fix my Toyota? Serious..
