The place is so beautiful... I truly love the tales of olde Scotland... And with your Scottish dialect makes it more romantic... Just wish they made movies too reflect on these times of olde
Oh my gosh what beautiful scenery, forests, and rivers!!! I bet it's wonderfully quiet there! Thanks for sharing your beautiful country, it's history and your great sense of humor!
Oh, Robert! This is breathtaking! Look at that waterfall! And glad they planted native trees. The totem poles are so nice. So, you said this was grasslands before it was planted? Did this displace any wildlife? In Nebraska, some ppl got the notion to plant tons of trees on the prairies. It's nice to have windbreaks on farms like my Gramma had between fields. But ,now everything is massive industrial farming and they don't have tree breaks. Blessings!~
Love a visit to The Hermitage 😊 Thanks for sharing Last time we were there was the beginning of November and it was stunning with all the Autumn colours 🍂 Hope you've had a good weekend Morgs Jo and Boo 🐕❤️
There was a thing in the 18th century were the landed gentry would hire someone to be a hermit who live in a cave and wondered if that was the idea behind Ossian’s Cave. I am not saying that is what happened here but as it was the thing at the time so this cave may be more for the look of the thing. The job came with a number of rules which the hermit had to follow and failure to follow those rules was usually the reason the the employment of the hermit came to an end. The biggest problem was that the hermit would need to live in the cave for five years before he got paid.
I've been watching this channel for a while and it seems like in Scotland you can't walk three feet without coming upon a spot where someone was murdered, executed or blown up!
I made a brief stop at the Hermitage on a journey to Inverness. I'm not sure if I'm now disappointed to hear it's a manmade scene. It really is so beautiful and interesting - I don't think it matters in the end. It is nice to revisit, albeit virtually, through your channel!
Thank you Robert, this forest is a beauty, I should know I live in Oregon! But imagine my surprise to see a totem from the Nowrhwest Coast Indians(First Nations) planted right there among the Doug Firs. This iconography is common to Oregon, Washington, Southern Alaska, and British Columbia. It is really well done although kind of small. It's an eagle, the symbol of the USA. K.
It's gorgeous up there...not been in year's ❤...have you been to the "Rumbling Bridge"? I'm not exactly sure on location but I think it's closer to perth..maybe just passed Bankfoot 🤷♀️🙈
Your brother, The Hoof GP recommended your channel. He said to come big you like you used to bug him. But I find it kind of interesting to be here too.
Gorgeous! Will the Rowan trees grow under the canopy of other trees? Our US Rowan, the Mountain Ash, prefers more sun. It does look like the Adirondack Mountains of New York State except for the glorious construction features.
There's a tree stump that's had loads of coins hammered into it there to. Red squirrels and leaping salmon if your lucky. Beautiful spot to stop on the way north.
G’day Robert..I live just down the road from Dunkeld Victoria Aus..I can assure you it’s definitely not as picturesque as your Dunkeld..although our locals may disagree?..we’ve had some scorching summer days of late..with some reaching well into the forties..unfortunately we’re heading into another heat wave later this week..bushfires here are a great concern right now! Looking at your video I’m quite envious…regards Michael..🇦🇺
I can imagine 40 degrees isn’t great. This was a bit of a last minute, unplanned video. It was probably the best day we’ve had in a while so seemed wrong to waste it. It has been a very mild winter though.
@shalacarter6658 Course I'm near the Ozarks and Ouachita mountains in Arkansas. Not sure if they were connected but the Ouachita mountains are 500 million years old.
A drystane corbel roof? Wow. Why have I never heard of the Black Linn Falls? You would be appalled at school education for those of us born in the fortiss--we learned that Scotland was almost not worthy of study---bette to lean about, for example, the Tudors. Yhank you for your viseos which insome way go to correct this falsehood.
Same here in America. We learned very little about our state. I knew it was not flat like almost everyone says it is. That's because they only travel on the Interstate.
Unbelievable beauty!
What a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Lovely little garden showing how far you Scots will go to realize a dreamscape. 😊
Thank you Robert 👍 That was a nice wee tour of breathtaking scenery and fascinating history 🥰 Have a lovely day Robert ❤

I'm guessing it would have helped the wildlife (but I'm no expert) :-)

Beautiful! 💜
You can get married in Ossians Hall, how romantic woth that backdrop. The bride is the only one allowed to be driven down to the hall

You’re videos make want to move to Scotland
Your brother from The HoofGP sent me here..👍🏼👍🏼😅
It's all changed since my last trip there. But the walk along by the river is truly worth it
I've visited Edinburgh. It's great to see Scotland has trees (in the Hermitage at least).

If you had never said anything , you'd never know that landscap
e was man made ! Very Beautiful place !! Simply Amazing ! 🇺🇸 / 🏴

Perfect place to build a little cottage and get away by yourself!
I miss the beauty that is Scotland. I haven't been back since 1979.
S Rioghal Mo Dhream!
Great clan motto!

I don't know why, buy my cat was simultaneously enthralled/freaked out by the opening sequence and ultimately ran away. Kelpie?

Only ferries are missing
Sorta looks like my home in Arkansas. But minus the fur trees and the buildings.
Yes, check out a world map to see how the Highlands are connected to the Appalachians!

Why would have been taught something so specific?
Absolutely beautiful
Absolutely stunning
