The key with this style, I think is to be loose with it like it's your template to your real drawing.

Yup that's coming in about 2 weeks! Some people call it Mannequinization. Basically adding neck, head, arms and legs to the robo bean. Could you specify what you have trouble with when you try to add the limbs? I'll try to cover it in the video.
In fact everyone.. Let me know what you struggle with most when you mannequinize the figure (simplifying it into spheres, cubes, cylinders)

♦️ I've been watching all your videos again and again for 3 years now. The first 2 and a half years (I was not that focused on learning fast and serious).
Now for the other half I finally had the determination to study everything (I'm applying for an animation degree from a scholarship with my art portfolio).
Previously I just learned everything in a day. Now I'm focusing on the rib cage and arm bones and muscles for 2 weeks until I finally get it, then I will move on to a different muscle and bone so I can fully focus on learning it.
Actually I compared my work from the past weeks to today and I was surprised at how much I have improved.
Thank you. I still have 3 months for my art portfolio.

I cannot tell you how much I love you and your videos, thanks so much for doing them XD And since you asked on a previous comment: I have problems too with the head, I seem to make it too small or too big compared to the rest of the body when I do gestures. Also, I seem to make the ribcage and pelvis too far away from each other. The 'fun stuff space' is always too big LOL Thanks again, you're such a good teacher XD

Thanks Proko! I'm using the tools you used to understand the twist and the bean more, which I put two balls in a sock and tied a knot at the top for the base of the head. It actually really helps me visualise the simplified form a lot more plus I can treat it like a life drawing class. I do this with a rag and a black line for the twist like what you used.
