    Hi Proko! I just stumbled across your videos, and I can say they are beyond helpful. I'm a high school student hoping to go to college for animation, so I'm learning as much as I can right now. I wish I could afford those darn premium courses...gosh I wish I could, but I'll work with the free videos with as much due diligence as I would pay the full versions! I am determined to master the bones and muscles...I will get there, someday!Anyway. Just wanted to thank you for your hard work in getting all this stuff put together. I am sure I am a single voice in the chorus of thankful students! Thanks again!

    Hi I have a question that I hope would not come across as stupid, because I'm really confused. In the previous video, he said that the cervical section had 7 vertebrae while the lumbar section has 5 vertebrae. But why is it then when drawing, the lumbar section ends up bigger than the cervical section? I would really appreciate it if someone can enlighten me.

    • @ahshhddhhdhdhdhdshehe2905
      @ahshhddhhdhdhdhdshehe2905 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know this is and old comment but I hope this still help u or anyone. Because he did say that the size and shape of the vertebrae would vary a little in different sections so I guess the vertebrae of the lumbar section is really big that it looks bigger than the certical section although it has less vertebrae, also that makes sense since he did say that vertebrae of the lumber section is bigger and is use to lift up the weight of the upper body

      @ProkoTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Anatomy can be a pretty dense topic for a lot of people. It's not typically where a "newbie" artist should start. At first, we should focus on lines and shading for a while before trying to learn anatomy.
      It's like making a sandwich. You can learn to bake bread first but if you start with making sandwiches, you know more about what's desired for good sandwich bread so you can bake better for your specific needs.
      Draw first and then learn what all those little bumps on the body and from so you can draw them intentionally now that you know how to draw.

      mmm I'been practicing very much, I've made drawings about all topycs to practice, cartoon specially to make... easy comisions and also anatomy, well, not specifically for artists, but mainly things I know I am going to use to draw, also I've seen, in order, The proko's videos, I really like it, but I want to spend time in each video, not just go from one to the next, gg I hope you can help me :DD
      PS; sorry if my english isn't very... well

    • @BunBunMuzic
      @BunBunMuzic 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leonardo666ism I started with hands last week, i draw them for 4 hours, 1 week. I just started with the fundamentals, like how the hand would change in perspective or in various gestures, draw it like a box with circles etc. etc.. You need to know how the object is changeing or why the object looks like the way it does. Cause drawing 500 hands without basic information, and only tracing, will not imropve your artistic eye.
      Look at gestures if you see every part of the object and if you are able to simplify it - at this point you can step to the next object or body-part.
      It's not a great idea to jump on every part round around, cause you have too remember so many things. So learning the basic from everything STEP BY STEP is a good advice. You can't draw a cat in 100 different gestures if you don't know how a cat moves or how the body of it is build up.
      I apologize for my english 2, hope you could understand what i try to say.

      What makes them look ugly? Analyze exactly what you're doing wrong and practice that. If it's just wrong proportions, then do some measuring exercises. Train your eyes to see. Search for my video on 'measuring'

      drawing is a very long process.
      i used to have this passion-and-give-up thing, the reason was ...time
      in college the professor asked me to draw this face of some old dude. i spent 3 hours on that drawing and it went well

    I can't get the shape of the spine right no matter how many times I try

    i find the assignments after skelly to be lacking in useful guidance. we are supposed to draw the spine and such under the skin without actually learning what to look for. for tracing image 1 we can even see how it's almost a 50-50 split in what direction the bucket is actually facing in the comments. so it's verry obvious most people (including me) gets too little help to be able to even approach the assignment effectively

      I went to art college and let me tell you I've learned absolutely nothing there. All i got was a massive insecurities from my teachers about my art style, which is realistic. I've had to relearn on my own from vids and books so yeah you actually learn a lot without a teacher
