Many of the songs are better heard more than just the 5 seconds. The 5 seconds shown sometimes don't justify why they are on the list. There also quite a number that made more impact to those who watched the anime. But, am glad that you enjoyed some of the 5 seconds and notably a few songs from the same artists/bands like: Aimer, LiSA, UVERworld. The others are pretty spread out and like I said, they are even better if you listen to them beyond that 5 seconds. Hope you get to listen to them someday!
I agree entirely on the "made more impact to those who watched the anime" -- there were some intros that just hearing the 5 seconds on here had me bursting into tears because of how much the show itself meant to me. 🥺
Only for it to loose that feeling after hearing it Millionth times , My all priced songs are stored away in a locker, id die to listen to them, but Im loosing that feeling the more i listen to the songs, so I can't even listen them anymore,,, feels bad :'))))
I've lost to the urge to listen to songs, Recently when was feeling down, i Lost to the urge and binged my #1 fav song, I cry as my brain get used to that song and I can't feel the chemicals for my #1 song like how i used to. Just kill me at this point 🙂

someone probably already answered, but they get actual bands to make the songs, which looking at it, is a very big missed opportunity for openings we do over here, because not only does it give the band something to create without much thought, it gives fans something to relate their song (or songs in a lot of cases) to, which also gives them publicity which is the most important thing, especially for up and coming bands musical anime especially, they put in actual bands/idols most of the time, names changed sometimes, to also give them that boost to publicity as well as to see how well they will handle the stardom and performing regularly
13:58, one of the ones you liked, is from one of the most famous anime composers in Japan, Hiroyuki Sawano. His intros, BGM and OST are some of the best out, he collaborates with awesome singers. You should check out the first take of Aldnoah.Zero's opening, aLIEz, which I'm very disappointed wasn't in this list, you'd probably have loved it. And I suggest you start with watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Mushoku Tensei or Ousama ranking!
I second about Aldnoah.Zero's opening, aLIEz. There's even a 'First Take' version that is breath taking. It's just unforgettable, I spent more than one month listening every day to it. Still can't believe what that song, that singer do to my brain every.single.time. It's a shame it's not in that ranking. Maybe it's too recent?
I second all of this! Especially watching Fullmetal Alchemist since it seems to be right up G.O.T's alley in terms of genre with the darker world but not in a miserable depression sense. Hiroyuki Sawano is without contest the best composer of OSTs in anime. He's responsible for music in (in order of my favourites), Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, Re:Creators, Attack on Titan, Sereph of the end, Seven Deadly Sins. I highly recommend going over a lost of his top OSTs. Here are some recommendations: 1. One Hundred Soldiers 2. K2 3. Barricades 4. Mkaliez 5. KABANERI OF THEIRON FORTRESS (Yes, that's the name of the song) 6. Perect Time
First a lot of these need a lot more than 5 seconds to really sell how absolutely amazing they are. It's a huge task but I'm sure a lot of us would be interested in seeing you do as many as possible. Now for the "who's the strongest" competition. of course some people like to do it but generally it's next to impossible to accurately determine. Anime powers scaling gets really insane in some series. Like destroying entire outerverses or whatever bs like that. Saitama was made as a gag character kind of like popeye in a way, he wasn't really made to lose. That said even saitama likely wouldn't beat some characters in some anime that are capable of straight up erasing him from existence. But again, Saitama was created with the intention that he would never lose so it's really hard to say. There is a wiki called (vs battle) that you can look at though that uses evidence from the different series to as accurately as possible rank their strengths and weaknesses in tiers that can help decide outcomes.
The powerscales can be a bit ridiculous especially with super robots like Gurren Lagan (final form) and Elder God Demonbane. There are also some beings that can do pretty much anything but arent really measured in power, just in the fact that they can will the reality to do what they want, and that no one can really stop them.
Hi, Mr. Luke!!! I used to listen to these collections while doing chores around the house. They're awesome!! If you want something dark, gory, intense... I'd suggest Attack on Titan. Ajin is another great one. The intros are usually what causes me to check out different animes. Hope you have the best day ever and thank you for your videos!!!
@@GOTGames Don't know if someone has brought it up for the dark, gory, and intense thing you're looking for, but I recommend Berserk. There is one thing to mention for the anime and that is there are two Berserk animes: an older one with a hand drawn art style and a newer one that's 3D. Also there is the Berserk manga that has ended due to the mangaka Keitaro Miura having passed away relatively recently.
Definitely glad you started listening to the full versions of the songs. From what you describe you like and because you are new, my biased opinion is that you watch Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Without giving too much away, it does revolve around two brothers, but the show does a great job developing all characters. It has horror/dar disturbing parts, but also the action, suspense, political intrigue stuff and also just the heart, really hits deep. Now I am biased, the show holds a special place in my heart because I first watched it with my brother and we finished it right before he was leaving to join the navy . Yeah so biased, but I think most would agree overall it's an excellent anime and very good for someone new.
I would definitely recommend listening to LiSA (not to be confused with BP Lisa). As many have said, she is the queen of anime openings, and has a beautiful voice, especially when she does the first take/stripped down type of stuff. My favorites are Gurenge and Homura. If you do listen to those, def listen to the studio version and her first take versions. I can tell you also kind of like the sound of UVERWorld and Aqua Timez. I think it'd be cool for you to also check out the longer versions of Samurai Champloo themes (done by the artist Nujabes). As for anime recommendations, I would definitely think you'd enjoy Parasyte, Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note, and Jujutsu Kaisen (one of my current faves), Elfen Lied (this is one of my top faves of all time and is fairly dark in story).
@@GOTGames yeah be sure to check it out espacially "The first take" version. You did cry over Taka voice so i recommend prepare tissue for this one too.
I think that a great anime starter is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I personally started watching anime after My Hero Academia. However, I personally think that Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is a masterpiece that can drag people into the "anime world". The story is fantastic and the music is phenomenal. The anime is definitely like riding a rollercoaster (one that makes you feel all the emotions). The story makes you think of the world in a different way. Even if you don't start with this one, I totally recommend you to put it on your watch list!
Tokyo Ghoul's first opening is my favorite of all time. I could listen to that song on repeat and not get bored! Also love the Inuyasha closing songs as well. 😁
God the amount of nostalgia I experienced, I may have freaked out when I heard some of these as well, some of these are truly epic god tier level music, and actually legit mean a lot to me, and I forgot most of them lol. Especially bye bye yesterday from assassination classroom season 2, and the promised neverland one by uverworld, touch off. Those are probably my favourites.
An absolutely amazing start for an anime is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, the music is amazing, the plot is incredible, the actors are great… it was my first anime and if it makes a difference, I’d watch you watch it! Also, I’d highly recommend Parasyte: the maxim, the Promised Neverland, or Re:Zero for the dark/gory stuff!
Tokyo Ghoul was my first anime and I think it checks all your boxes. I actually almost didn't make it through the first part of episode one but was completely hooked by the end, it just isn't what I normally watch. The opening song, Unravel, is incredible. Some that didn't make this video include Trash Candy by Granrodeo (who were in there a few times) that's an opener for Bungo Stray Dogs and the S1 ending song Namae wo Yobu yo (Call a Name) by Luck Life is one of my favorite songs ever.
Hey! You gotta watch the opening of Tower of God, Straykids made the song : Top and there is Slump which is at the end of the anime. There are Japanese and English versions for both I think
I find myself agreeing with everyone recommending attack on Titan and demon slayer. But it would be silly not to mention Jujutsu kaisen as that pretty much ticks all of your preference boxes. It's also a very new anime so there's not loads of episodes to catch up on but it is very good
@@OK-mv4ih i agree with aot, atleast the first 3 seasons, but demon slayer is overrated as hell. demon slayer has one of the best animations of all anime but that alone cant carry the anime. jjk has the best of both worlds
@@rotonek2887 no it cant. literally everyone I know says that demon slayer plot is average at best. however if you re talking about popularity then yes it can carry, though obviously im not talking about popularity.
13:57, so for your information. This song is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. He's pretty much legendary in the world of anime music, certain parts of his songs are referred to as Sawano drop and are known for their sheer epicness. He composed the music for many anime including the one and only Attack on Titan. You want great music? Go watch it. Especially if you like dark, gory and epicness. It's often called the Game of Thrones of anime.
I noticed You like the voice of LiSA. She is a Japanese singer named Risa Oribe. She has a great voice. Her songs in this chart were 13th, 65th, 72nd and 83rd. I think that two best songs of her are: "Homura" and "Gurenge". I didn't hear Homura in this chart, but Gurenge was at the 72nd position. Link to "Homura": th-cam.com/video/4Q9DWZLaY2U/w-d-xo.html Link to "Gurenge": th-cam.com/video/MpYy6wwqxoo/w-d-xo.html Both links lead to the program: "The First Take" which is also great. We recommended you "Yuki no hana" by Jisoo in Kyocera Dome, Osaka and You weren't disappointed. You won't be disappointed when You listen to any of these songs, either 😃
14:14 Attack and Titan, Death Note and Tokyo Ghoul fit that perfectly, although they can admittedly be a bit depressing. But they're very dark and gory lol
I would replace Tokyo Ghoul with with Vinland Saga and then add maybe add Jujutsu Kaisen or Parasyte: The Maxim. Tokyo Ghoul has a banger op but the series is not that great, let's be honest... well at least not the anime (manga was top tier)
Attack on Titan is a great anime if you want to watch a series. Really enjoyed Steins Gate too. I dont know why but I struggled with Tokyo ghoul story but loved the first opening song. I love how the songs have that catch that grabs you. I annoy my daughter no end when we sit watching anime together and i cant help sing along 🤣 Theres some great feature length anime films too - studio Ghibli being the most well known production company, however they hit down hard on youtube reviewers etc
@@Kudejikashi I think I found it too depressing lol. I can do dark and gore but relentless depression 😬 which is funny because I dont get that same anihalistic heaviness with AoT
@@alexakuto it was my second anime..........im used to that kind of story too. Interested to know why it might not be good as first anime because I would suggest it 😄 The theme song is such a catchy tune too
@@annaarwen4345 funny enough its also my second anime and still my most favorite anime to this day... I just think some people can't wrap their mind around it since it's pretty slow at the first half to the point people dropped it at that point... But still the second half will always stay in my heart as the reason why it's my favourite anime ever... Also kinda disappointed because some people decided to skip Steins;Gate 0 since it's not a sequel nor prequel... I honestly think that Steins;Gate 0 is good and worth watching despite not being as good as Steins;Gate, it's still good in its own ways...
For begin in anime world i always make the same recommendation : Monster from Naoki Urasawa. It's one of the best manga : it's an adult dark thriller, it's a very cleaver plot, the writing is brillant. The anime adaptation is very good, it's not a too long serie for beginning, it's taking place in East Europe so it isn't too difficult to follow for western beginner (you don't have to understand some japanese culture). Lots of friends of mine wasn't into manga or anime at all but all of them have love this one. It's a masterpiece !
@@diengowen well yeah it's a great manwha about a guy ( i forgot what job he had) who reincarnates as. Goblin and continues to evolve to a hob goblin and further (not trying to spoil his next evo's) he helps the goblin village turn into a powerhouse on par with other species and leads them to victory in many occasions and has 2 "childhood friends" i suppose who are his second in command one buff "goblin" and one girl goblin.
I would definitely recommend checking out these openings -Noragami Op 2 (Kyouran Hey Kids - The Oral Cigarettes) -ReZero Op 2 (Paradisus-Paradoxum - Myth & Roid) -Kokkoku Op (Flashback - MIYAVI vs KenKen) -Domestic Girlfriend Op (Crying for Rain - Minami) -Black Clover Op 10 (Black Catcher - Vickeblanka) -Vinland Saga Op 1 (MUKANJYO - Survive Said The Prophet) Some of my personal favorites but also some of the more unique openings, pretty big variety between them.
I would recommend Made in Abyss, it's cute in the beginning, but don't let that fool you :) It's a great story with fantastic music and very interesting world
Okay, just one second in and I have to say, your audio quality is AMAZING. I have no idea why, I just watched a nother video and it sounded fine, but it sounded like you were right next to me. Crazy.
Literally, my favorite anime, with some of my favorite intros, is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Excellent storytelling, wonderful soundtrack, great animation. It’s legendary.
LiSA is definitely a Japanese artist to check out. She's amazing. Also think you'd really enjoy VICKEBLANKA (I haven't watched Black Clover but I do love all the intros he's done for it), but I believe he has other songs not specifically for anime. Some intros and outros are by Japanese singers/bands, others are made for the anime. A number of my favourite openings and endings the seiyuu (Japanese voice actors) from the anime sing. On some occasions this is as their characters, and others it's as part of a band with their natural voices. In regards to the differences in the songs with some sounding all happy and upbeat, whilst others are darker. Just be aware if you do go into the world of anime that the openings don't always reflect the content of the anime. Some happy and upbeat intros are for some of the much darker and/or psychological anime. Also pretty much all sport anime openings are pretty great at making you pumped up for the anime. Some of my non-anime friends ask me for recommendations of sport anime and/or shounen openings for them to listen to when at the gym. I have watched a fair amount of anime in a relatively short space of time. Only got into anime back in 2014 with Attack on Titan being my first dive. I've watched over 150 anime and donghua (Chinese animated shows) since. First anime (that I've watched) that came to mind with the genres you typically prefer are Psycho-Pass, Gangsta., Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul and Death Note. Personally I didn't enjoy the latter two (apparently can be seen as something of a sacrilege) but I really enjoyed Psycho-Pass, Attack on Titan, and Gangsta (though Gangsta did end on a cliffhanger and it's unlikely to get a Season 2 sadly). Another one that's more recent that you might enjoy is Akudama Drive. Honestly when you mentioned John Wick (*love* Keanu Reeves in *anything*) my first thought did go to one specific arc of an anime called HunterXHunter but I'm unsure if you'd enjoy it overall. Some arcs with the show I do think you'd appreciate but others might not be your cup of tea. Anime can get heavily copyrighted, sometimes the footage and other times it's the audio. Majority of my videos I make all get copyright claims for several countries, and any video I've made for anime openings/endings are all pretty much copyright claimed in Japan, no matter how short I keep the audio/image. It is a slight annoyance because it does make it harder to introduce more people to anime they might enjoy. I could easily list off dozens of anime openings/endings to check out but I'll just give a few you might enjoy, along with a couple of donghua openings: Kizuato from Given (the anime my profile pic comes from) th-cam.com/video/jxkPutVPZ0Q/w-d-xo.html Renegade from Gangsta. th-cam.com/video/COBpRXm_CUQ/w-d-xo.html Deal With from Servamp th-cam.com/video/yvJzruuSrRM/w-d-xo.html Dying Wish from Moriarty the Patriot th-cam.com/video/4REhyrzmEkk/w-d-xo.html Fukagyaku Replace from Nobunaga Concerto (band is MY FIRST STORY whose singer, Hiro, is Taka's [from ONE OK ROCK] little brother) th-cam.com/video/Fz9w5JyThFI/w-d-xo.html STEAL!! from Akudama Drive th-cam.com/video/SJ8iRrphkQo/w-d-xo.html BLIZZARD from Those Snow White Notes th-cam.com/video/hrz8_uUyxDA/w-d-xo.html Until I Wake From Dreaming from Those Snow White Notes th-cam.com/video/NHgp_JybfhA/w-d-xo.html Kyōran Hey Kids!! from Noragami th-cam.com/video/3oFTHxkOzjE/w-d-xo.html Goya wa Machiawase from Noragami th-cam.com/video/gWCnKoEgfP0/w-d-xo.html Dive Back In Time from LINK CLICK th-cam.com/video/_cuCfmOsuCA/w-d-xo.html OverThink from LINK CLICK th-cam.com/video/ly2GjsxKtg0/w-d-xo.html 不好惹 from Dao Wang Rao Ming th-cam.com/video/_7qb56BdpiU/w-d-xo.html Also for longer videos perhaps check out compilations of the openings (and endings for some) from these anime: Kuroko's Basketball th-cam.com/video/E-SaDlKGtUo/w-d-xo.html Haikyuu!! th-cam.com/play/PLMSl8mucEuzOTN_WVOSksxer3cfOvFH1o.html Bleach th-cam.com/video/ofvaakyqiF4/w-d-xo.html Psycho-Pass th-cam.com/play/PLaIq3mkLlQXh8FcR6mz72Qcv0MZrTeB2D.html
Nice reaction!!! I'd love to see you react to more of these!! I think the "100 Most Streamed" lists are better personally bc they use satistics for the most watched intros to detrmine the list order instead of someones opinion. For example Gurnege is the most streamed atm but was below 50 on this list maning lots of great openings where missed out. So I defo reccomend watching one of thoes!! Anyways have an amazing day!!
"Any dark anime version of John Wick?" Darker Than Black, that's exactly the anime you're looking for Others would be: - Black Lagoon (it becomes an actual john wick mirror at season 3) v v - Golgo 13 v - Jourmongrand v v v v v - Cowboy Bebop (more fighting wise. Spike is very similar to John in fighting) v v v - Fist of the North Star?? (it's very good, but old, and not sure how close to john wick it is) Some are similar in gun fights and crime, some are similar in the revenge plot, some have indentical character types to John. No anime is exactly like the movie though
I would recommend "Fullmetal alchemist:brotherhood". -great story, amazing pacing, has a little bit of everything you mentioned, and it's my personal favorite. The first op is a great song too. (Note that FMA and FMA:brotherhood are different, fmab is canon. So if you're going to, you should watch brotherhood) Other than that, i feel like you would absolutely love Attack on titan. The first op is also a banger. And as for full op reaction recommendations, you seemed to like "Demon slayer op 1 - Gurenge". Idk if i'd recommend the anime to you, even if it's one of my favorites, but it is a horror/epic/funny anime. And the Jujutsu kaisen op1 is one of the absolute b e s t anime openings out there. Sorry for the long comment but as a long time weeb i gotta write it all down 😂
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is my favorite anime too. Would have been closely followed by Death Note if it hadn't lost itself in the second half. FMAB is great on so many levels I don't even know where to begin. But you already know. It's...perfection.
You should! It's just so masterfully done. So dark and nuanced, yet full of a weird hope and optimism. I just love it so much. What other anime would you recommend?
@@BJBee depends on what you're into but my other favorites are the basics; attack on titan, demon slayer, daily lives of highschool boys, your name, beastars 😌
To answer a question you asked. Opening themes for anime has developed over time, as all things do. In my experience it was far more common in the 80's and 90's for the OP to be done with the voice actors. Ranma½ comes to mind. When it was done it was partly a way to show the characters off more, partly it fit the theme of the series, and partly to save money on a small market. Then you have the ones that seem to have reached out to artists and asked to use already composed music as OP themes. And, of course, the ones that commission entirely new pieces specifically for the series. This has become a lot more common in the last two decades as the anime market has grown to an impressive size.
If you like dark and bloody horror type of anime, I would recommend "Elfen Lied" "When They Cry - Higurashi" "HELLSING" "Brynhildr in The Darkness" "DEADMAN WONDERLAND" "The Future Diary" If it is similar to John Wick's anime, I would recommend "DARKER THAN BLACK" "Blassreiter" "NO GUN LIFE" "BLACK LAGOON" "Jörmungand" "GUN×SWORD"
For anime recommends honestly it depends on what your preferences are and usually you dont know until you watch things you dont like. A lot of times you start out watching certain genres and then branch out and figure out you enjoy more variety. I could easily whip out like 20 recommends but it doesnt really matter too much where you start off so much as youre enjoying it. I think the popular ones like Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Death Note are perfect for entering the genre but you could just as easily start off with comedy, SoL or sports anime.
Overlord has really good openings and is also a really good show. Have a listen to the full songs for that show. I am sure you will like them based on your reactions to the example in this video :) I also think you will like the show itself. It is kinda dark and epic.
,,SHIKI" is also another great anime if you're into eerie stuff. It has a great storyline and is also quite socially critical. The art style is a bit unique, but you'll get used to it easily once you start.
Banana Fish anime opening(s) is my absolute favorite! It's so sick, definitely not a beginner anime as it's pretty dark but it's very good quality and story, I love the characters and the world.
You should definitely look into the band Uverworld more. You seemed to really like every single one of their songs in this video. They're a wierd band, barely anyone knows of them even tho they have a ton of songs in some of the best anime openings and they're completely unknown in the west but they're absolutely bangin!
5:27 n°28 The opening of "Neon genesis Evangelion" sang by Yoko Takahashi is one of the most famous one in Japan, it's the song the most sang in karaoke there! You seem to enjoy more the ones with a rock felling so I would recommend you to check about the groups "Flow", "Sid" and the singer LiSA. And for some recommendation of anime to watch (Sorry I'm not good at making summary): - "Another" is a well known horror anime but there's also funny parts. - "Erased" is not very popular but I find it pretty dark, there's a really good plot (it's one of my favorite) - "Durarara" is about groups of gangs in Tokyo, urban legends and there's supernatural things. - "Made in abyss" can seems childish at first sight but is in fact pretty dark, though it take a bit of time for the plot to construct it's really worth it. - "Steins;Gate" If you like time travel this one's for you, I think it treats time travel quite 'accurately' with physic's laws and such. I think there's the right amount of science explanation, they make things logical in a scientific way but it's not like a class - "Shinsekai Yori" this one is really not known (and I found that very sad because it's really good), it's surnatural but not too much and it's definetly dark but the plot can be a bit confusing sometimes. (This is one of the first I have watched and still to this day my top 1 favourite)
I think they left out many AMAZING older anime songs in this compilation ksksks I can't believe they didn't add anything from FMA (The first season), Saint Seiya, Inuyasha, Escaflowne, Rozen Maiden... sigh. Maybe I'm just on the older side ahahaha but I missed some of my absolute favourite openings in here! BTW, Luke. I HIGHLY recommend you listen to The Oral Cigarettes. Behind BTS, they're probably my favourite band ksksks
Don’t know if someone already mentioned this ~ some anime are very long with several seasons, and some are shorter with a definite story line that has an end. The longer running shows often choose new intro animation & music with each new story arch or season as they move through the show. 😊
Love your videos dude, I'm watching your anime journey from the beginning here from your Bleach openings reaction video. Based on your descriptions for genre preferences the animes that pop into my mind are Hellsing: Ultimate, Another, Parasyte.
Love your reaction! You should check out the full versions of attack on titan op 1-7, black clover op 3,4,10,12 and 13 and mob psycho 100 op 1 and 2. Openings are a great way to discover new shows to watch. Fun fact op 12 of Black Clover is actually a song by TXT, it’s very pretty and the vocals are amazing
Been following for a few months, but just getting around to watching the video that started it all. I know about 80% of these and agree they deserve spots in a top opening list. A lot of great music here.
This was pretty cool for a change. I've seen some animes myself. Although I haven't seen the one you have, lol. There is some really good music in anime. Some of my favorite animes are, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, and Lain. I would suggest Death Note for you to check out first. You will probably like that one. 🌸💜
I would suggest 'Demon Slayer', since it is well animated, with a really pretty/involved soundtrack, has a dark theme to it with some gore. It's one of the top currently airing animes right now so it should be easy to access to watch. You enjoyed the theme to it it seemed. I dont watch too much gore/horror anime 🤔 another anime that can be a little messed up is 'Made in Abyss' which looks cute but can be gore-y, it's also another with a great well made soundtrack. You also vibed with both openings from 'Noragami', that one is my favorite anime. Also. Whoever told you One Punch Man is a bad anime to start with.....why? I feel like it encapsulates the crackheadness of anime, while being funny, and having action at the same time. It's a good anime 👌
I think the issue with One Punch Man comes from the stigma around the backstory parts. If you aren't a kid or particularly into anime already, the joke of the characters with in-depth backstories of how they became amazing only to get wiped in one punch...it falls kind of flat. When "vaccine man" (for example) starts talking about how he came to be...it looks really corny and childish if you don't get that it's part of the gag of One Punch Man doing nothing but basic cardio. It's a great anime, but it's not the best choice for a newcomer to start with.
Animes that I think really fits your description (aside from the mainstream ones that were already suggested) would be: - Deadman Wonderland - Parasyte The Maxim - Mirai Nikki - The Promised Neverland I think these are soo underrated! I have more in mind but these are some that popped in my head first. Hope you get to read my comment! Happy watching 😁
Loved this video btw! And based on what you like you should watch Attack on Titan for sureee and also Parasyte! Both have great storylines and are gore heavy
I really love "My Dearest" by Supercell. Incredible composition, incredible voice, the ups and downs of the instrumentals. It's such a perfect song in my opinion. Of course, I can't forget the iconic "Unravel" by TK.
Berserk, and Fist of the north star sound right up this man's alley. From his criteria for anime recommendations of dark, gore-y, not depressing, and epic. xD
Of all of these that haven't been recommended by others already, check out the live version of Hunter X Hunter OP "Departure!" by Galneryus. The guy that sang the OP is the lead singer for Galneryus & they did a power metal version of that OP.
SO many series on here that never got a second season/ending breaks my heart: Death Parade, No Game No Life, Noragami, and Yuri on Ice. Tons more that aren't on this list but dang, it hurts to see a series never finished 😭
I would try and recommend parasyte the maxim for being gory, dark, not too funny, but also not too serious. It also has a cool plot and protagonist. It's also one of my personal favorites :)
I like how when after he told his preference of genre the moment he went back into the video it showed Ajin which has pretty much had all genres he prefered except for horror. Anyway recommend Future Diary, Promised Neverland, Tokyo Ghoul, Demon Slayer, and Parasyte. P.S pls send like an announcement or notice on what anime you'll watch first pls
If you like the horror genre and want something gory, I definitely recommend the anime "Another". It's a relatively short anime, with a really good opening (visually and musically)
In terms of anime that fall under the Dark/Gory/Horror Genre, I'd recommend -Another -Mirai Nikki -Deadman Wonderland -Elfen Lied -Parasyte:The Maxim -Re:Zero (Not really under the category but its quite messed up) And maybe Monster if you like something that is along the lines of a Dark, Twisted Psychological anime Hope you like the recommended ^ 😊
the new anime spy x family is one of the best starters for new watchers since it has everything that shows how great anime can be ^_^ fruits basket (the new remake) is a great one. also INUYASHA is amazing as a starter and they actully made the anime anf completed the whole plot of the manga... which for 90s manga it wasnt common for animation studios to finish the whole story plot. also demon slayer, haikyuu, jujutsu kaisen & boku no hero academia, enen no shoubutai, radiant, shikimori san is not cute are good for starting :D
Sometimes they even get the voice actors to sing the OPs. Because Japanese voice acting can now involve actually performing the songs in character live. That said I kinda want you to react to something like K-On! and Love Live songs. Probably not to your tastes but they are actually good songs and fun to listen to.
Like Shaman King, all four of its OPs are sung by two voice actors, Megumi Hayashibara for Over Soul, Northern Lights and Soul Salvation and Nana Mizuki with Get Up! Shout! Hayashibara, Yui Horie and Yoko Hikasa sing EDs too.
you may have heard the Deadman Wonderland OP somewhere else actually as it's essentially a re-written version of a song called Black Hearts and Dollar Signs. So you may have heard the original version, but pretty much all the lyrics where re-written for the anime...
Higurashi has two seasons, and two absolutely epic openings. 50 episodes total, very manageable. Psychological horror, mystery, gore and so many plot twists you'll be guessing until the very end, but with enough levity smoothly mixed in that it's not too heavy. It gets quite intense at times and is definitely not for the faint of heart; there *will* be scenes you find disturbing. Like when [redacted] is forced to use a medieval torture device to rip off their own fingernails as a punishment for daring to fall in love with [redacted], or when [redacted]'s autopsy report comes back and says "Victim appears to have clawed at his own throat with his fingernails until he hit a major artery. Died of shock from massive blood loss." The scene that always comes to mind first, though, is the one where [redacted] takes a butcher knife, plants the handle firmly against the wall next to her, and then smashes her own head against the point of the blade until the damage destroys her motor cortex, choosing to take her own life rather than allow the now insane [redacted] to derive any sort of sick pleasure from torturing her to death. Not that there aren't moments of levity. It kinda comes in waves. Like one episode a character will lose a game of cards (kinda like Go Fish) and have to walk home from school in a swan ballerina outfit, then 3 episodes later the suspense is so thick you *couldn't* cut it with a knife. If you do choose to watch Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (season 1, English dub available) and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (season 2, only English subs available as far as I know), I will issue a single warning and an assurance: at the end of episode 4 of season 1, you'll be like "Well where the hell do you even go from there?", And at the beginning of episode 5 you'll be like "....wtf??" I promise you it *will* make sense by the end of season 1, or early into season 2, even though that seems completely impossible. *However,* there is another mystery that isn't answered until most of the way through season 2, and further revelations which don't come to light until damn near the last episode. Deadman Wonderland is also amazing, and is about half the length of Higurashi. It isn't quite as bloody or disturbing, but the characters do use their own blood (in various forms) as their weapons, and these abilities are called "Branches of Sin", so that's pretty badass. There's also that one scene where a dude gets his eye gouged out, so there's that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My fav anime opening is avtually from fma ( full metal aclhemist brootherhood) I guess the opnening name is again. But I also LOVe the opening of Promised Neverland. Also these two anime are some of the BEST but I guess they are not really a good choice for starting to watch anime. They wont be good for your sanity and they probably will make you cry a lot. Usually people starts with death note. But there is also attack on titan / or with original name shineki no kyojin. About one punch man. Its one of my fav anime but not a good choice for the first one. Its an action and comedy anime btw
Also real groups makes the songs. Actually sometimes kpop groups makes the japanese anime songs. I remember FT Island ( one of the kpop band J recommend you under your day6 reactikn) made a skng for a famous anime. ( I mean you need to check them out really quick 😅)
The only instance that I know of where a song was made specifically for an anime, is the final Attack on Titan opening called "Rumbling" by SiM. Other than that its mostly just actual japanese music that the animation studios used as ops.
There's no competition: Saiki K is canonically the strongest in the world of Manga and Anime (though only because in his story, he's basically the creator of all super powered entities in other media). Edit: Horror version of John Wick, eh? I don't think there's exactly something like that, but maybe In;Spectre is your jam?
Hey! Awesome video for anime recommendations I'd suggest shiki, parasyte, Vinland saga, berserk, death note, attack on Titan, dorohedoro, death parade n mugen no juunin
You'd be surprised how much depth and positive themes some of these shows have. So much better than much of what we get on TV these days. And the same goes for the intros. There are some real gems in there. :) One of, maybe THE, most important singers when it comes to anime intros is without a doubt LiSA, who is represented here in the list at least 3 times. I just recommend her performances from the YT channel 'The First Take' of her songs 'Gurenge' (#72 here in the list) and definitely 'Homura' from the same channel. Both songs are from the series 'Demon Slayer' which is one of the most successful anime worldwide. Believe me, this woman is an incredible singer. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- from *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊️
Lisa - Homura First take video, its an incredible song, gets me emotional every time and its from Demon Slayer, which is among the best anime of all time
As many have already said, death note is a great one to start with. Especially considering how you like darker stuff. It’s a dark anime diving into the “grey area” of what’s right and wrong, and how power can corrupt people. It’s one massive game of 4d chess being played between two characters trying to outsmart the other with the stakes being death. Highly recommended, and its also great because the dub is actually really good so listening to the english dub wouldn’t be that far off from the Japanese sub.
Definitely some of the best in this compilation! The first one you said you liked a lot was from the Fate Franchise’s “Fate Stay Night” called Brave Shine by Aimer, but AmaLee did a English version. She does a lot of the anime openings in English. I highly recommend the Fate Franchise anime. If you do want to watch it, THIS is the order you need to watch them in due to skipping ahead & going back in time, this is ESPECIALLY important when you get to the Fate Grand Order arcs: • Fate/Zero (2011) • Fate/Stay Night (2006) • Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (2010) • Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Presage Flower (2017) • Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Lost Butterfly (2017) • Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Spring Song (2017) • Fate/Grand Order Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (2020) • Fate Apocrypha (2017) • Fate/Extra Last Encore (2018) • Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (2019) • Fate/Grand Order: First Order (2016) • Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom (2017) • Fate/Grand Order: Final Singularity - The Grand Temple of Time: Solomon (2021)
Grand Order movies probably should go the same way they happened in the game, so: • Fate/Grand Order: First Order (2016) • Fate/Grand Order Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (2020) • Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (2019) • Fate/Grand Order: Final Singularity - The Grand Temple of Time: Solomon (2021) • Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom (2017)
Depending on what you said your taste was, I would recommend DEATH NOTE and ATTACK ON Titan, I'm sure everyone would😂 ATTACK ON TITAN is definitely a very very very good place to start. HUNTERXHUNTER is another amazing choice too, it's got a fair amount of gore and it's coming back after almost 20 years!!! Anime fans all around the world have been waiting so if you plan on reacting and if you catch up with this show you'll be able to enjoy the ride with us. Thanks for all your hard work, always stay safe happy and healthy, lots of love💜
Usually they commision a band or an artist to create a song for an anime to be an ending or opening song, sometime though they tell select the main cast voice actors and tell them they will sing a song, for that purpose they also commission a composer to write a song and someone to write the lyrics. But unlike here in the west, anime songs are considered as normal songs of those bands or artists, and there where many many cases when an anime actually used a song from a band that was quite old, ReLIFE used a song by L'arc en Ciel that was from the 90's while the anime was from 2016, there was also a case like Deadman Wonderland which appeared in this 100 opening video, where the band FADE rerecorded a song they released 3 weeks earlier on a mini album with changed lyrics. The anime version in this case was called One Reason by FADE. and was released on a single on 27th April 2011 while their original version with their original lyrics was called BLACK HEARTS & DOLLER $IGN$ and was released on 4th April 2011. But in any case an artist or band is commissioned to record a song for an anime they usually have depending on the studio either a lot of creative freedom or a lot of it to make a song fitting what they usually create. Thats why heavy songs are rare but there are cases when they commission such bands as well, like in Death Note with MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, recently in Attack on Titan with SiM or with Fire Force with coldrain, but thats just a few examples, there is more. Also recently a popular youtuber who records song covers, who also does a lot anime song covers got commissioned to make an opening for an anime, im talking about PelleK and i recommend you check him out for some good covers or just to check what song he created for an anime.
Soooo.... you want to get into anime.... Alright, let me suggest a few: From what you've said, I'm preeeetty sure you'd love: - Attack on Titan - Demon Slayer - Jujutsu Kaisen - Tokyo ghoul - Death Note - Fate/Zero - Fate/ Stay Night You don't have to dig too deep in the Fate universe, I've only watched the two Fate Series above and THEY ARE ENOUGH. Everyone says they're the best ones out there, so don't dig any deeper, you'll only be disappointed.
Gonna say this though. Feel like One punch man's op got absolutely robbed. It should be atleast in the top 20. One of the most iconic op definitely.
a lot of the anime in the video cut off just before their drop, which pained me every time it happened
I agree entirely on the "made more impact to those who watched the anime" -- there were some intros that just hearing the 5 seconds on here had me bursting into tears because of how much the show itself meant to me. 🥺

Yeah i was SO frustrated when i knew some song and the most satisfying part just got skipped!
Is it me or does anyone else get chills when your heart resonates with some of the openings

Death note is a good start
Death Note fits the discription perfect
Always Japanese dub with English subs, if ever you'll be doing one.
someone probably already answered, but they get actual bands to make the songs, which looking at it, is a very big missed opportunity for openings we do over here, because not only does it give the band something to create without much thought, it gives fans something to relate their song (or songs in a lot of cases) to, which also gives them publicity which is the most important thing, especially for up and coming bands
musical anime especially, they put in actual bands/idols most of the time, names changed sometimes, to also give them that boost to publicity as well as to see how well they will handle the stardom and performing regularly
Maybe it's too recent?
aLIEz was actually the ending song not the opening song, which would be why it wouldn't be in this list.
@@JazzXMeister You're right, it's been too long and I forgot... Let's hope for an anime endings reaction video!
Here are some recommendations:
1. One Hundred Soldiers
2. K2
3. Barricades
4. Mkaliez
5. KABANERI OF THEIRON FORTRESS (Yes, that's the name of the song)
6. Perect Time
First a lot of these need a lot more than 5 seconds to really sell how absolutely amazing they are.
Definitely right about some of the songs needing more then five seconds, like Touch Off.
Hi, Mr. Luke!!! I used to listen to these collections while doing chores around the house. They're awesome!! If you want something dark, gory, intense... I'd suggest Attack on Titan. Ajin is another great one. The intros are usually what causes me to check out different animes. Hope you have the best day ever and thank you for your videos!!!
Hey Paige!
Thank you so much for the recommendations! Hope you have the best day ever too!
Fully agree
I LOVE her opening ADAMAS for SAO: Alicization!
LiSA? Okay! I think she's been recommended a lot actually, I'll make sure to check her out 💯💯
And thank you for the anime recommendations! ❤️
@@GOTGames yeah be sure to check it out espacially "The first take" version.
You did cry over Taka voice so i recommend prepare tissue for this one too.
I agree LiSA is insane, her videos on First Take are INSANE
@@GOTGames I suggest reacting to Attack on Titan openings 1-7 and then reacting to the show in sub
Same it’s been my top 1 anime song since it came out and nothing is gonna beat it in my opinion❤️

FMAB is my absolute favorite. It's one of those rare events when everything just comes together beautifully. It's a classic.
A always love how short and sweet everything gets tied up! Definitely my go to for anyone!
I love how he unconsciously reacted to all of the UVERworld songs, you can tell they're just his style
Odd Future and Touch Off are incredibly catchy
Tokyo Ghoul was my first anime and I think it checks all your boxes. I actually almost didn't make it through the first part of episode one but was completely hooked by the end, it just isn't what I normally watch. The opening song, Unravel, is incredible. Some that didn't make this video include Trash Candy by Granrodeo (who were in there a few times) that's an opener for Bungo Stray Dogs and the S1 ending song Namae wo Yobu yo (Call a Name) by Luck Life is one of my favorite songs ever.
It’s interesting to see how you react really positively to the songs/singers that I usually really like
Hey! You gotta watch the opening of Tower of God, Straykids made the song : Top and there is Slump which is at the end of the anime. There are Japanese and English versions for both I think

For begin in anime world i always make the same recommendation : Monster from Naoki Urasawa. It's one of the best manga : it's an adult dark thriller, it's a very cleaver plot, the writing is brillant.
I couldnt scream NOOOOOOOOO louder with the who is the strongest question jesus thats an argument that will never end
I could easily list off dozens of anime openings/endings to check out but I'll just give a few you might enjoy, along with a couple of donghua openings:

Nice reaction!!!
I'd love to see you react to more of these!! I think the "100 Most Streamed" lists are better personally bc they use satistics for the most watched intros to detrmine the list order instead of someones opinion. For example Gurnege is the most streamed atm but was below 50 on this list maning lots of great openings where missed out. So I defo reccomend watching one of thoes!!
Anyways have an amazing day!!
"Any dark anime version of John Wick?"
Darker Than Black, that's exactly the anime you're looking for
Others would be:
- Black Lagoon (it becomes an actual john wick mirror at season 3)
v
v
- Golgo 13
v
- Jourmongrand
v
v
v
v
v
- Cowboy Bebop (more fighting wise. Spike is very similar to John in fighting)
v
v
v
- Fist of the North Star?? (it's very good, but old, and not sure how close to john wick it is)
Some are similar in gun fights and crime, some are similar in the revenge plot, some have indentical character types to John. No anime is exactly like the movie though
The first one I thought of was Gangsta. But I definitely see your point with the others as well
@@LeonaDiCarryo
Noooo dont remind me of gangsta
Brave Shine really hits different. Definitely a Top 5 OP of all time.
I would recommend "Fullmetal alchemist:brotherhood". -great story, amazing pacing, has a little bit of everything you mentioned, and it's my personal favorite. The first op is a great song too. (Note that FMA and FMA:brotherhood are different, fmab is canon. So if you're going to, you should watch brotherhood)
Other than that, i feel like you would absolutely love Attack on titan.
@@BJBee yees 💜 i've actually been thinking about re watching it..again 😅
If you like dark and bloody horror type of anime, I would recommend
"Elfen Lied"
"When They Cry - Higurashi"
"HELLSING"
"Brynhildr in The Darkness"
"DEADMAN WONDERLAND"
"The Future Diary"
If it is similar to John Wick's anime, I would recommend
"DARKER THAN BLACK"
"Blassreiter"
"NO GUN LIFE"
"BLACK LAGOON"
"Jörmungand"
"GUN×SWORD"
I am sure you will like them based on your reactions to the example in this video :)
I also think you will like the show itself. It is kinda dark and epic.
,,SHIKI"
is also another great anime if you're into eerie stuff.
And for some recommendation of anime to watch (Sorry I'm not good at making summary):
- "Another" is a well known horror anime but there's also funny parts.
- "Erased" is not very popular but I find it pretty dark, there's a really good plot (it's one of my favorite)
- "Durarara" is about groups of gangs in Tokyo, urban legends and there's supernatural things.
I think there's the right amount of science explanation, they make things logical in a scientific way but it's not like a class
- "Shinsekai Yori" this one is really not known (and I found that very sad because it's really good), it's surnatural but not too much and it's definetly dark but the plot can be a bit confusing sometimes.
i mentioned it. =0p
you're definitely gonna like deadman wonderland, it fits your genre likes and it was also one of your favorite openings
LUKE....I noticed *LISA* (not Blackpink) but Jpop, sang several of these songs maybe you should check some of her music out. *LISA* Jpop
You actually found like the perfect list, all of those songs deserve a full song listen (at least on you own although I'd like to see it)
I would suggest 'Demon Slayer', since it is well animated, with a really pretty/involved soundtrack, has a dark theme to it with some gore.
It's a great anime, but it's not the best choice for a newcomer to start with.
demon slayer has a dark theme? oh please..
@@idkwhattoputhere5503 Yes it does, you'd understand this a lot more if you've also read the manga.
@@idkwhattoputhere5503 wdym "Oh please"💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
@@jujujujujujujujujujuju demon slayer isnt even close to "dark" compared to many other anime.
Animes that I think really fits your description (aside from the mainstream ones that were already suggested) would be:
- Deadman Wonderland
- Parasyte The Maxim
- Mirai Nikki
- The Promised Neverland
I think these are soo underrated! I have more in mind but these are some that popped in my head first. Hope you get to read my comment! Happy watching 😁
Loved this video btw!
And based on what you like you should watch Attack on Titan for sureee and also Parasyte! Both have great storylines and are gore heavy
Yessss
okay but like reason living by screen mode(bungo stray dogs) should 100% be here
I really love "My Dearest" by Supercell. Incredible composition, incredible voice, the ups and downs of the instrumentals. It's such a perfect song in my opinion. Of course, I can't forget the iconic "Unravel" by TK.
My Dearest is a fucken bop
I love that Deadman Wonderland opening, too. it's in my top 3 openings of all time. Good taste.
Anime recommendations : attack on Titan , death note , demon slayer
I second this
I like how when after he told his preference of genre the moment he went back into the video it showed Ajin which has pretty much had all genres he prefered except for horror. Anyway recommend Future Diary, Promised Neverland, Tokyo Ghoul, Demon Slayer, and Parasyte.
P.S pls send like an announcement or notice on what anime you'll watch first pls
Dude the ajin manga is good.
You need to check out the full song for Yuri on Ice Born to make History that clip didn't do it any justice 😅
dark and gory, and naughty, its just the perfect description for attack on titan man, you gotta love it
If you like the horror genre and want something gory, I definitely recommend the anime "Another". It's a relatively short anime, with a really good opening (visually and musically)
One of the openings you really liked was "Brave Shine" which is an opening for the Fate franchise. Fate is my favorite anime.
In terms of anime that fall under the Dark/Gory/Horror Genre, I'd recommend
-Another
-Mirai Nikki
-Deadman Wonderland
-Elfen Lied
-Parasyte:The Maxim
-Re:Zero (Not really under the category but its quite messed up)
And maybe Monster if you like something that is along the lines of a Dark, Twisted Psychological anime
Hope you like the recommended ^ 😊
Cough cough JoJo cough
Another is truly a great horror/suspenseful anime that anyone who likes the genre should watch.
Add summertime rendering, because I think it fits that list perfectly.
Also Higurashi When They Cry
Yo bruv I’m so excited for you to get farther in Attack on titan!! You should read it to when it’s done being animated
You NEED to react to LiSA. Besides BABYMETAL, she is easily my favorite Japanese artist. Her vocals are flawless and packed with emotion and spirit!
honestly noragami, blue exorcist, black cat and erased are my fav of all time they have great openings you should check em out one day
7:04 this is neverland's opening it's so damn good
Death note,Naruto,Tokyo Goul,Bleach,Black clover,One Punch Man are one of my favorite anime and many more.
the new anime spy x family is one of the best starters for new watchers since it has everything that shows how great anime can be ^_^ fruits basket (the new remake) is a great one. also INUYASHA is amazing as a starter and they actully made the anime anf completed the whole plot of the manga... which for 90s manga it wasnt common for animation studios to finish the whole story plot. also demon slayer, haikyuu, jujutsu kaisen & boku no hero academia, enen no shoubutai, radiant, shikimori san is not cute are good for starting :D
oki back again at 8:29 loved your reaction to Sono Shi No Sadame from JoJo, that's one of my all time favorite intros to any anime.
Loved that Proof in the background
React to all Attack on Titan Openings.
you may have heard the Deadman Wonderland OP somewhere else actually as it's essentially a re-written version of a song called Black Hearts and Dollar Signs.
Died of shock from massive blood loss."
The scene that always comes to mind first, though, is the one where [redacted] takes a butcher knife, plants the handle firmly against the wall next to her, and then smashes her own head against the point of the blade until the damage destroys her motor cortex, choosing to take her own life rather than allow the now insane [redacted] to derive any sort of sick pleasure from torturing her to death.
I highly recommend the openings from the FATE series. "Brave Shine", the first one you paused to say you liked, is from it.
REACTION TO ATTACK ON TITAN
I think its pretty interesting to watch someone who hasnt watched any of the anime I watched and love reacting at them
My fav anime opening is avtually from fma ( full metal aclhemist brootherhood) I guess the opnening name is again.
There's no competition:
Saiki K is canonically the strongest in the world of Manga and Anime (though only because in his story, he's basically the creator of all super powered entities in other media).
One of, maybe THE, most important singers when it comes to anime intros is without a doubt LiSA, who is represented here in the list at least 3 times.

Naughty and Dark? Time to watch Gantz bro.
Lisa - Homura First take video, its an incredible song, gets me emotional every time and its from Demon Slayer, which is among the best anime of all time
Everything on First Take is amazing.
When I saw Durarara! Opening I jump a little cause damn THOSE openings are one of my favorites, I absolutly love those openings
If you do want to watch it, THIS is the order you need to watch them in due to skipping ahead & going back in time, this is ESPECIALLY important when you get to the Fate Grand Order arcs:
• Fate/Zero (2011)
• Fate/Stay Night (2006)
• Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (2010)
• Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Presage Flower (2017)
• Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Lost Butterfly (2017)
• Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Spring Song (2017)
• Fate/Grand Order Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (2020)
• Fate Apocrypha (2017)
• Fate/Extra Last Encore (2018)
• Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (2019)
• Fate/Grand Order: First Order (2016)
• Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom (2017)
• Fate/Grand Order: Final Singularity - The Grand Temple of Time: Solomon (2021)
Grand Order movies probably should go the same way they happened in the game, so:
• Fate/Grand Order: First Order (2016)
• Fate/Grand Order Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (2020)
• Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (2019)
• Fate/Grand Order: Final Singularity - The Grand Temple of Time: Solomon (2021)
• Fate/Grand Order: Moonlight/Lostroom (2017)
Depending on what you said your taste was, I would recommend DEATH NOTE and ATTACK ON Titan, I'm sure everyone would😂
ATTACK ON TITAN is definitely a very very very good place to start.
Alright, let me suggest a few:
From what you've said, I'm preeeetty sure you'd love:
- Attack on Titan
- Demon Slayer
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Tokyo ghoul
- Death Note
- Fate/Zero
- Fate/ Stay Night
You don't have to dig too deep in the Fate universe, I've only watched the two Fate Series above and THEY ARE ENOUGH. Everyone says they're the best ones out there, so don't dig any deeper, you'll only be disappointed.
I was looking forward to Kakegurui. Your reaction is entirely reasonable lmao.
