How was it edgy? That sounds more like tokyo ghoul more than anything. Parasyte is a pretty old story too (the manga) its basically a really hippe environmental message too lol. To the point of the end of the series they pull the pollution is the real monster all along and the parasytes though big and scary are still vunerable animals. Literally the opposite of edgy

The parasites are standins for those who can't empathize, like animals and psychopaths. The whole story of the Anime is essentially Migui (I'm guessing standing in as a metaphorical psychopath in the beginning) learning to function with true empathy.

Fear and loathing is an awesome band. Their non anime songs, (which is almost all of them) don’t get enough attention. They have a VERY unique sound and style. Get Back the Hope is one of my favorite songs of all time. It’s just awesome.

About the views, if you notice that channel is not even an official one. But that is something that still happen with some artist. Before Japan was not that open to publish their artist music on TH-cam, there are still some records that don't or are slowly changing.
(and by "before" I mean 6 to 7 years ago, it's only in recent years that they started posting MVs)
Parasyte was my first ever anime watched, and this is first anime opening I ever heard. This is such a good show, you should definitely watch it

This band is really one of my all-time favorite! Nick you gotta listen to their other songs as well, they're all bangers.
They’re an incredibly underrated band when compared to other popular Japanese bands that have gotten to do songs for anime’s.
This is truly a 10/10 show. It's very mature like Vinland Saga. It also has very strong dialogue like Vinland Saga. The only reason this show went under the radar is because it aired at the same time as AoT S1. The OST is also one of a kind. It was one of the first to have a very electronic music driven OST and it fits so fucking well with the action and serious scenes. The ending song is also very underrated, it's very chill.

but yeah. i would put it slightly below vinland in terms of quality, but it is almost as good.
and for what its worth i personally enjoyed it way more. its probably my favorite thriller up there next to breaking bad.
Idk I feel like it should've been a bit more popular than it was and is. Parasyte fight clips are very popular on TH-cam but I doubt that out of the millions of views not even 20% have watched the show, which is disappointing.

the ost is an aboslute 10/10, its crazy emotional, and as you saw the opening goes extremely hard.

The series is also masterpiece. The manga was one of the old gems that fully adapted to anime in modern era like JoJo. Reacted to this might be a good idea.

Its been a while since the video but you should rlly check this anime out. Only 24 episodes, amazing osts, great char develop, and wraps up nicely.
If you want to react to more of their stuff, I recommend Get Back the Hope and Return to Zero. Two of their best songs. Oh, and Stay as Who You Are, but it’s like 7 and a half minutes long and like 6 songs in one.
